All of the wine was okay. Nothing to write home about, but definitely drinkable. Our server for the tasting was friendly without being overbearing. They had a coloring book and crayons for the kiddos, which my 5 year old loved. Not my favorite Finger Lakes winery, but I would come here again.

Beautiful spot. Tasty wine and affordable wine. Food was delicious, lots of gluten free options! Plenty of outdoor seating as well, always a bonus.

We stopped in for a tasting. It was a little crowded, but there is someone at the door to direct you to an open spot for tasting. My favorites were the Vidal Blanc, Snow Owl, Diamond and the Tailspin. I left with three bottles! We had lunch at the Bistro there on-site and sat outside to take in the views. We were a group of five and all plates were cleaned. BLTs, pulled pork sandwich, chicken wraps and fish sandwiches were shared and enjoyed by all. I'd definitely visit again!

This was one of our group's favorite wineries of the weekend. The wines are definitely among the best in the area. Overall, I found them to be approachable but still complex and very tasty. One thing to note: the experience and ambiance are a little different here than other wineries. Though Thirsty Owl's wine can go toe to toe with any on quality, the tasting was less of a curated vineyard experience. We felt like we were basically drinking at a bar in a gift shop. (I mean, literally, we basically were). The bar is to the side of folded t-shirt stacks and other souvenirs. It's not quite the romantic outdoor experience you might envision. Also, our server, though friendly, came across as more of a bartender than a sommelier. Unlike at other wineries, they gave us a concise blurb about the wines rather than extended stories, histories, or deeper explanations. In the end, though we bought a half dozen bottles, we felt like we knew less about Thirsty Owl than others. Which is kind of a shame, because it was really great. Still, I'd definitely recommend it.

Close to our rental made this an easy choice to check out. We were able to get in as soon as we arrived and had a view of the grounds and their lake. Service was fast and friendly. Our drinks and appetizer of calamari only took minutes to arrive. My wife and I had a bottle of Finger Lakes Riesling that we found to have just the right amount of sweetness for us. The calamari was well seasoned and a great balance of crispy outside and chewy inside. I had a steak and cheese sands which with a red wine sauce which I hope to steal the recipe for, my wife had the Cesar salad with chicken. It was a nice place to find and we enjoyed our last dinner for the trip at this great venue

Had an excellent wine tasting experience with Henry. He knew his wines and did not have an issue answering any question I threw at him. Great price and great service The ice wine and the Bottom Dweller wine was my top bottles.

This was the first of several wineries visited during our recently concluded vacation to the Finger Lakes. A sampling of 5 wines will set you back a modest $5 and, should you choose to purchase a bottle, $2 will be deducted from its cost. Each of the white wines we tasted was deemed good to very good and pricing is more than reasonable. Fear not, we did not depart empty handed having acquired 2 bottles and a T-shirt for my wife.

Great food at the bistro. Food was high quality. Beautiful views of the lake from the covered patio.

We really wanted to love Thirsty Owl, but there were a few misses. When we arrived, the only option for a tasting was standing at the bar (no seating options at all.) We liked several of the wines, and even bought a few bottles and a T-shirt because we really liked their merch! They have a lot of cool little gifts inside--it's basically a gift shop / winery duo. We also got a free $2 off coupon to put towards a wine purchase which was cool. However, the biggest miss for us was the smell. Inside literally smelled like wet dogs (not sure if it's because they allow dogs inside), but it was really off putting. Every time we tried to smell/taste a wine, the wet dog smell was so overpowering! Just something to keep in mind when visiting.

This is by far my favorite winery! There is parking you can even head up by boat and a golf cart will bring you up to the winery. There is a beautiful view of the lake. The outside area is great if you have dogs or just want to be outdoors. They have a wide selection of wine. I like the sweeter wines the blushing moon was great if you do as well I also bought the pinto noir which is a dry red. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap which was filling and neatly served with a side of the pasta salad. The service here is great from every aspect. The wine tasting flowed well, it was quick and she also gave great recommendations and compliments. All around best winery highly recommend!

Tastings and a bistro. The tastings are 5 for $5 and a $2 coupon towards a bottle of wine. Busy and good atmosphere.

It had been years since I had been here but the wines keep getting better. There's something for everyone but I loved their dry reds.

I think it was $2 off a bottle if you do a tasting so I went with one I liked, a bottle of "Snow Owl".

Reminded us of a Reece's, and would be delicious mixed in coffee! All the samples we had were wonderful! The woman serving was a delight and told us some of the history of the distillery and her family relation to it. It was near the end of the day but she didn't seem to care that we were there and chatted away happily afterwards! For those of you intimidated by a distillery, the woman next to us was about 80 and having the time of her life!

Well lucky for us we stopped in on a whim (let's be honest I'm a sucker for good branding). The property is clean and simple, the tasting room was in line with what we experienced last last in Kentucky in more rural spots. They make gin, vodka and whiskey. I'm not much of a liquor drinker but my husband bought 4 bottles and said it's fantastic- he is very into bourbon and if he says it's good then it is. To my untrained palate it tastes like alcohol. It's $3 for 3 tastings and you can also get a cocktail. There is a fair amount of branded products and souvenirs. So it would be a good spot to pull together a gift basket for Fathers Day or Christmas. Absolutely worth a visit- a beautiful craft distillery with a friendly knowledgeable staff.

Finger Lakes Cider House - Awesome charcuterie!

Super cute spot with lots of unique cider options and great cornbread/desserts!…read more We tried the Funkhouse, Sparkling Cab Franc, Fruit of the Bloom, and Persici (in order from dry to sweet). My favorites were the Fruit of the Bloom which is infused with ginger as well as the Funkhouse. I liked how crisp the funkhouse was and I loved the ginger note in fruit of the bloom. The others were okyay too, persici was very sweet but paired nicely with the ginger hazelnut baklava which was incredible! I am allergic to pistachios, so I loved that I could eat their baklava! We also tried the cornbread with strawberry and jalapeno butter- absolutely incredible. I am from the south and have had a lot of cornbread but this truly stands out. It came out warm with a slight crunch from the crust while maintaining the perfect crumb inside. Just crumbly enough and not too try! I also really enjoyed the jalapeno and strawberry butters- you can tell they use high quality butter, they almost reminded me of goat cheese. I preferred the jalapeno butter a tad more but both were great! The exterior is beautiful- the views are very nice. I would highly recommend coming on a warm day and sitting outside. We initially sat on the balcony but moved due to the bees. The tables underneath the white tent were shaded and bee-free. Service was pretty quick- our ciders came out almost immediately. We had to wait ~10-15 minutes for the cornbread though, but I didn't mind especially given it was warm! Overall, I would highly recommend!

For the cider flight, Funkhouse and Lake Hause Rosé are excellent plant-based picks, though vegans should note the Honeoye blend is made with honey. The staff is friendly and efficient, promptly managing the busy first-come, first-served crowd. Indoors, the space is cozy but tight, making it tough for large groups on rainy days. However, the sprawling outdoor seating (May-October) is fantastic, spacious, and fully wheelchair friendly. With its casual vibe and moderate price point, it's a stellar spot for a relaxed day date or a scenic group outing. Just roll up early since they don't take reservations!

An absolute highlight of my trip to the Fingerlakes!…read more We were a large bachelorette party looking for an afternoon at a winery. This place was chosen for both the proximity to our Air BnB and also because it was more affordable then some of the other vineyards in the area. I will say with certainty that this place was the best part of our trip! The vineyard has a small but suitable selection of wines to taste - you can see my photo for the menu available at the time. Reservations are not taken on the weekends, but we were able to walk in with relatively no crowds. However, by the time we left, it was packed! All of us opted for a flight - which, for the prince, how could you go wrong? The staff was incredibly pleasant and attentive, and they TRULY knew their products. They weren't afraid to say, "I don't think you'll like this [based on your tastes], try this instead." In addition, they had a selection of local cheesed and meats for purchase, so we were able to have a wonderful charcuterie with our wines. After purchasing, we sat on their deck and simply enjoyed being outside with the scenic view. Truly, it looked like it was taken out of a movie - I felt like I was looking at a scenic photo in a dentist office or something, but in the best way! We are so proud to support a local business like this. If I'm ever in the area, I will be sure to add this vineyard to my stops!
