My favorite place for Peking duck around the Houston area. It's a little farther out, but I usually…read morestop by whenever I'm driving to or from AIH. The duck is roasted for hours, so the skin comes out nice and crispy without being too greasy. I also like that the remaining duck is made into a soup afterward. It's simple, hearty, and especially good on a colder day. I've tried several other dishes here, and they've all been solid and remind me of the Chinese food I grew up eating. The servers have always been attentive and friendly, and the restaurant is spacious, so it's a good spot for family dinners or larger groups.

When we finally got seated we weren't asked What would you like to drink or this is our drink menu. It was-Water,right,right,Ok brb. So we had water just like the rest of the people in there. Also weird how they don't have any drinks on the menu or let you know about options. Could I have asked for something else? Sure but again waitresses were just all over the place it was crazy. When we ordered and others food was coming out we realized what big portions they give you. BTW just 'cus it's big portions doesn't mean This food is about to be the best Ive ever had. The food- We got some shrimp plate and we were told it was spicy because it has peppers and peppercorns which would numb your tongue which it was just basic shrimp dish. Only good or cool part of it was eating lotus root which Ive never had before. We also ordered the "special" house beef noodles and I don't see the hype or why they're so special. The only crazy part was the noodles length. Which honestly made it hard to eat. We ordered the duck which came with the soup. The soup was made from scraps. I think if they had added more duck and not just scraps it would be my fav thing of everything we ordered. Will say it tasted like chicken soup. For the duck. It wasn't as crispy as people made it seem to be. I expect idk a more gamey flavor to it and all I kept saying is-This taste like pork carnitas. Idk why we got treated than the table behind us. We asked for to go just like they do but they just gave them their to-go plates like Here ya go and they put all of our food in our to-go for us. Would I go back? Its one of those you say- Ok I've had it,had the duck, don't get the hype but ok not worth coming back again for more.

We ordered pupusas, barbacoa, and a burrito. The pupusas were AMAZING (we got the kids' one), and they came with rice and beans that were also really good. The barbacoa came with two tortillas and was flavorful without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated since I'm not a fan of sweet barbacoa. My mom had the burrito and felt it could've had more flavor, but overall the food was still solid. The staff was super friendly, the bathrooms were clean and nice, and it was a comfortable spot to grab lunch. Definitely a great place to stop if you're hungry and want a satisfying, casual meal. Would come back again!

Waited about 15 minutes for Freshly made pupusas that come with tasty curtido and salsa, included. ( bean and cheese), and an order of platanos fritos that came with black beans and crema; portions large enough to share. The pupusa is one of the largest I have gotten, and the consistency and flavor were exactly the way I remember them from my time in El Salvador; authentic and delicious. Cost was $20 total, but would easily have fed two, and I have enough leftover for lunch, tomorrow, so a good value, for good food! Don't miss this spot; they have juices, and bottled and canned drinks, too. Will surely be back to enjoy more good food from their menu!

Also the service was fast and great by the gentleman who ran it. HOWEVER Crazy Cravings on the other hand took forever to get me my food. Not only did they take a long time, they also charge an arm and a leg for a birria quesadilla & a strawberry lemonade. I paid $33 for food that wasn't even good and a small portion. And a lemonade that was mainly ice. Porky's is a great environment and in a nice area and I will be returning at some point. Food trucks galore and drinks and food are tasteful. Never really got an all-in-one experience like this til Porky's now. Came on a Sunday, solo. Got a top shelf margarita and was a 15.00 cost, and from a food truck outside, Soul Goode, a Chicago-Style, wings and fries. Or you may have fried okra instead like myself. If you love fried wings and fries, Soul Goode is the truck here. Overall experience was better than expected, and would come again, afternoon time for a quick bite and drinks again. Good place if you wanna avoid those brunch spots on the weekend or that downtown traffic hussle and bussle. Good vibes, and family-friendly place. Locals come here from Atascocita/Humble/Kingwood more so. Parking can be challenging, but I guess it depends on the time and day coming. Bathroom is kept up by workers, and seating area is maintained often. I heard Friday is the best day, with line dancing, karaoke, more of a crowd, and music.

I cannot exaggerate how good her customer service is sometimes when I go into restaurants, people do not want to explain the menu she pleasantly and happily explained every thing on the menu because this is my first time and she did it with care and kindness. Now let's talk about the food. Again, being a previous three-time restaurant owner everything from the sauce the quality of the fish the pan seared fish, the fried fish, the fried shrimp, the calamari! The aïoli. After being seated, we waited approximately 18 minutes without anyone approaching our table. No one came by to take our drink order, introduce themselves as our server, or even check in with us. The restaurant did not appear busy at the time--there were only a handful of other customers--so it was difficult to understand why our table was completely overlooked. There were only three of us, and after waiting nearly 20 minutes without any acknowledgment, we ultimately decided to get up and leave. It was especially disappointing because we were genuinely excited to try this place. We've been looking for a new ramen spot, and finding one so close to home seemed perfect. Unfortunately, we never even had the opportunity to try the food because of the lack of service. Hopefully this was an isolated issue, but our first experience was very disappointing.
