Came here as a part of the RI Food Fights burger competition. The burger was standard, but nothing to write home about. It was cooked well, and the bun was enjoyable. The fries were decent and the serving size was good. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly. Food came fast. Their pizza menu seemed to have some interesting and unique options, so I'm glad to learn that this place existed! Just not going to become my go-to burger spot.

First time at The 79 Pub/This Guy's Pizza. I came because I had the Lord of the Wings passes for the month of January. Really impressed by the menu a lot of types of pizza, a lot of really unique options. They have two beers that are specifically brewed for the restaurant one from the Dublin Brothers and the other from goose Island in Chicago. I tried both and it really enjoyed each beer, they were everything in IPA and a pills that should be. I didn't have the pizza, which I know is crazy, but I ordered the creamy pasta wings in the spinach pie tacos because that sounds absolutely unhinged and it sure was in the best way. The wings were really good. And I am really picky on wings. They were hot, crispy, and super flavorful. I will definitely be back for the chicken wings specifically. My other favorite thing besides the wings was the off the menu PB&J margarita. The service was also excellent. Super attentive waitress and friendly bartender. The establishment is fairly large with a big bar. There are arcade games in the back. Everything was clean and they have a parking lot. I really enjoyed my visit to the 78 Pub/This Guy's Pizza and I'm excited to come back to try more menu items.

Walked up to the large pub space and was immediately struck by how loud it was. Like you could her the music outside loud. It turned out to be Karaoke night and the volume of the music went down when people were singing. Service was friendly and our drink orders were filled quickly. We both ordered chicken sandwiches, and they were good, but nothing to make a special trip for. The pizza menu is very extendive with lots of topping choices so I'd like to go back to try it.

Return visit to This Guy's Pizza & it did not disappoint! We ordered an extra-large half & half pizza - The Rayven on one side (minus the drizzle) & Meat Loaded on the other. Both were delicious! Perfectly cooked crust, generous toppings & great flavor across the board. Every slice was hot & fresh - exactly what you want from a great neighborhood pizza spot! We also ordered the steak sandwich with mushrooms & onions. The steak was tender, the mushrooms & onions were cooked just right, melty cheese held everything together. The atmosphere really added to the experience. There was a soccer game on the TVs, with a fun, energetic group of fans on the other side of the restaurant that made it feel lively & welcoming without being overwhelming. There is also a game room in the back, which is a great touch & makes this place feel like more than just a quick pizza stop. It is somewhere you can hang out & enjoy yourself! Great food, good value & a place we will continue to support!

Was dying for a quick eggplant sandwich so we decided to try somewhere new to us at least! Well the eggplant was simple like I asked with light sauce, but my husband got a real treat! Chicken parm mouthful is what he ordered and it's chicken parm wrapped in mozzarella sticks with cheese then wrapped in a tortilla perfectly grilled with big side of fries and their great red dipping sauce :) ahhhmmmazing is an understatement he said . Great owner ~ bartender and waitresses are all so welcoming to everyone. We always sit at the bar. It also has a fun big room with picnic family style tables surrounded with arcade tables so bring the kids too! Great neighborhood Bar grill & arcade! Will definetly be going back soon . Fast friendly service too & good prices.

The Frenchman grinder! Sooo good! Would definitely get this again! Put the sauce on the side but the sauce is so good!

The big easy chicken sandwich from the passports

It was very quiet in here today, but the server, the waitress parked in their hostess combination. She was very friendly, kind, explained all the specials, etc. showed us, especially when they had just for the sandwich. Passport was able to order a sandwich separately so that we could share it and also gave us extra plates, etc. the food was really good. The chicken was juicy, but it wasn't hot and I like the crunchiness of it and the light battle was like a temp force was a very lightweight batter, which was good. I hate thick batters. other than that, things were wonderful. The rest was very clean organized put together very busy with takeout orders and I think catering. We will come back at another time. The server just came back we had thought french fries came with the sandwich, but on the passport it does not. It's a little bit extra. We didn't count for that today however she's come back. She's surprising us with their own homemade french fries they made in an air fryer. We're gonna have some and then we'll take the rest to go. This has been a fun day and experience with my friend so we will be leaving in just a minute and heading back home.

We enjoyed our visit with kids. The small, separate game room was a nice space for them to escape to and an added element for our time out. There was a good variety of options for food, including many kids meals that were priced great. We tried the Level Up and PB&J Burgers, the tacos and a few kids burgers & kids pizzas. We can't wait to try the pizza!

The wings were flavorful. The service was accurate however delivery took a long time. It's a family friendly restaurant. Lots of seating and parking.

29 Jan 2025 update It's truly a gem for eating in. What a great menu with a wide range of selection for lunch, including their great pizza options. The service is so personable and friendly. Strongly suggested for the freshest food and service. Even live music on Fridays and Saturday nights!

True Score: 3.5 Stars A pizzeria with a bar and several TV's to watch a game. Weirdly it closes pretty early, so we would never choose this spot if there was a night game and we wanted to hang out later than 9pm. Decent menu with a decent selection besides pizza. We had wings, not bad, could have been cooked more. We got a pizza, it was cooked well done as we asked. It is Greek style pizza, not Italian. We did not have a sandwich but other patrons did, they looked good. The draft beer is cold and prices are affordable. The guys working here are very polite and the establishment is very clean. Not bad besides the early close times. Thanks

Medium pepperoni pizza for $14. 2 slices missing.
    Nick C.

Just okay pizza. It's a little on the greasy side and a bit doughy. I got a medium pepperoni pizza for $14 which is a very good price. The sauce lacked flavor but the pepperoni made up. Very reasonable prices for the pizza and other menu items. Might be the cheapest pizza in the state that isn't total crap.

Great food! What a bang wings and wake up call pizza are epic! Family vibe with fun events and an amazing experience Sunday nights!

When you close your eyes & dream of the perfect buffalo sauce for wings, this is it. We also very much enjoyed the Loganberry BBQ with the char on the wings, not too sweet & a nice bit of heat. We were in the mood for a little something else so we ordered a small cheese pizza. YUM! We got to chat with one of the owners for a while & she couldn't have been nicer. For the competition, they were offering three of their signature sauces I went with the 716 Mulberry. Their menu describes it as a "Buffalo Base Sauce. It's a little twist on our buffalo medium". The wings came out hot and were so crispy. No breading, just a crisp wing with the perfect amount of sauce. The spice was medium in my estimation BUT I know a lot of people will find them a bit on the hot side. The base was definitely buffalo as advertised with added spices that really switched up in a nice way. They were on the salty side, but not in a bad way. I very much enjoyed their take on a traditional buffalo sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. We went on a Sunday during football season so they had four screens playing the days games. Most people seem to be coming in for takeout which makes sense but they were plenty of tables for beauty said that if you plan to eat at the restaurant. They had both fountain and cooler, soft drinks and a beer selection on tap. They offer counter service and our cashier was very friendly and answered all my questions about the menu choices. They do charge about $17 for 10 wings which I find a bit on the pricey side however they are a good quality so if you're gonna splurge, you won't be disappointed in the wing

And you made a great life choice. Walk into Tomaselli's and you know what the building used to be. Walls covered in decades of family photos, weddings, graduations, communion parties. Gaming chairs at the bar. Banquet tables with black tablecloths. Hardwood floors. Multiple TVs playing whatever game is on. Stackable chairs. This was the Rosario Society, an Italian-American social club. Tomaselli's moved in here in 2010 and kept the bones intact. I ordered a small pizza as an appetizer. My friends got wings as a meal. Lots of wings. The pizza came out on a black pan. Square. Thick crust, about an inch and a half tall on the edges. Pepperoni cups scattered on top with fresh parsley. I picked up a slice and it crunched, then the interior had great chew to it. That texture held through to the center. Sauce with real body, plenty of it, more savory than sweet. The cheese pulled hard, but let the pepperoni do most of the flavor work. The slices never sagged, never folded. This isn't Detroit style or grandma style. It's thicker crust Italian pizza without needing to fit into someone else's category. The wings arrived and the table went quiet. Tomaselli's offers twenty-six wing flavors. Not variations on buffalo sauce. Twenty-six actually different things. Bouryaki, a bourbon-teriyaki. Pink Vodka. French Toast wings. Pepperoni Pizza wings with chopped pepperoni, pizza sauce, and mozzarella on chicken. Antipasto wings with Italian cold cuts and banana peppers. Chicken Parmigiana wings with marinara. Our friend Jim, a legit foodie who has traveled the world, tried the antipasto wing and laughed out loud for a full minute. We couldn't tell if that meant good or bad until he finally said, "This is f-ing awesome." The consensus from our crew, who've been scouring the state looking for the best wings: these are the best wings we've had in Rhode Island. Half-price on Wednesdays for dine-in, by the way. Just saying. The chicken parmigiana arrived next and I understood why they keep aluminum catering pans behind the counter. A butterflied chicken breast the size of a pterodactyl, covered in marinara and melted mozzarella. Pasta on the side. A bowl of chicken soup. I ate until I couldn't eat anymore. Two large pieces of that chucken breast still sat on my plate, mocking me. Twenty-four dollars for the parm. Three meals from that one plate. Quite a bargain. Silver Lake was settled by Italian immigrants in the early 1900s, most from Southern Italy. They built St. Bartholomew's Church in 1907. They formed societies like Rosario where families gathered and celebrated life events together. The building remembers that history. So does the food. Places like this don't make sense anymore. The portions are absurd. The chicken parm needs an aluminum catering pan to get it home. But walk into that old social club building at the dead-end of Rosario Drive, sit down at one of those banquet tables, and you'll understand what Tomaselli's is doing. They're feeding you the way Silver Lake used to feed its own. The way famiglia feeds famiglia. Mangia.

Walking in, you definitely get the sense it's a hall but if you're solo just head left and the bar is right there waiting for you The bartender was a friendly guy, I never got his name. He took great care of me, checked in regularly. They have an incredible list of wing sauces, and I chose the pepper relish parm wings, which felt so freaking Italian I couldn't pass it up. I also got a small cheese, pepperoni and black olive pizza. Finally, a sangria to sip while I dined. The wings....the wings were incredible. Definitely my winner for the month by miles. They will be hard to beat. It was super oily from the peppers, it was dripping down my chin, but it was so tangy and delicious I couldn't stop eating it until they were all gone. The wings themselves were very meaty and fried hard like I would get in New York state. I think someone in their kitchen is from somewhere upstate New York because I rarely get wings that well fried outside of that state! After I polished those off, the pizza came. It was piping hot, rectangular and cooked to a golden brown. I ignored the heat and went for a slice. Buttery and crisp crust, rich and thick sauce, extra stretchy cheese, the pie was a lesson in generosity. The pepperonis were crispy like I like and the black olives had a more pronounced flavor than you usually find as well. Top notch pizza all around. I couldn't wait to tell my friends about this place, I was texting them in the car about my great experience. Living on the other side of Providence I will definitely be back, for more wings (half priced on Wednesday) and to try some of their entrees. I hear the chicken parm is outstanding! Until next time, Tomaselli's. You've gained a new regular customer out of me!
