We visited plant street on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm. This place was busy, but I've been before so I know it's worth the wait. I ordered the loaded brisket fries and subbed the mustard sauce for the regular bbq sauce and a side of cheesy grits. My food came out pretty quick. The fries were kind of small for $16, but it was super tasty. The brisket was tender and the cheese sauce and mustard sauce were plentiful. The grits on the other hand were under salted and lumpy. We've been to the crooked can many times and I've tried a few other different food options when we've been there alongside our drinks. On this visit I wanted to try the barbecue place, also known as this little piggy. The staff were both friendly and gave me time to look through the menu, the food was freshly prepared and was presented nicely. I opted for the brisket sandwich which came with two sides so I picked the fries and beans. The food was hot fresh and incredibly tasty! The brisket fell apart and was tender and juicy. There was a good amount of brisket in this sandwich and a nice mix between the meaty and the fatty parts to create a wonderful flavor. The skin-on fries were very tasty and had a homemade charm to them, which I really appreciated. This would have been five stars but I feel the price was a little bit too much for what I was wanting to spend. Also a note for you GF folks out there, they do not use nay Gluten products on any items that go in the fryer so no cross contamination. Only Gluten is in Bread and rolls if you order that. We had the Pork loaded Fries, large size. OH MY! The best! Delicious BBQ and Sauce, Cheese Chives on top over the bed of fries. I got the pulled pork fries today at the little market and asked for extra cheese and light bbq sauce. All the cheese is buried under the pork so the staff definitely came through with the amount of cheese I liked. It's 3 stars because even tho this is more of a pricey area I felt this item was too pricey for what it is. The pulled pork flavor is good, but it really isn't pulled, rather chopped today. The upside to pulled pork is how juicy and melty it is because of the small juicy shreds, but while tender and flavorful, these chunks don't give that melt in your mouth feel. I also think it would've been better with cheesier/better cheese? It felt like hot dog stand liquid cheese instead of a rich homemade sauce. Other than that the fries tasted good, it came out quickly, and the scallions is a great addition. It's great to try but I finished the small size myself and it was $17 with tip so if you're hungry don't expect a shareable size! read more

This is our 2nd visit to This Little Piggy. The first time, the service was so bad that we actually called the manager to report that his help was behind the counter visiting with each other and ignoring the customers, then acted rude when we had to holler over asking if we could place an order. This time the young people behind the counter were not neglectful, but weren't very friendly or professional. Beyond that, the french fries were awful. My husband asked if they could be sure that his fries were fresh and hot. They were neither. It seemed as though they had just been reheated a couple of times. The brisket was dried out with little flavor. The cole slaw and pulled pork were satisfactory. Needless to say, 2 strikes and this establishment is out with us. Omg where do I start...we went to the plant street market just to check it out. Instantly I knew I wanted "This Little Piggy" I had seen posts about it on IG & always heard of it but did not know where it was. Then I want with the collard greens, which I wasn't that impressed by but I was okay because the rest was above my expectations. Oh and you can't forget a sweet tea with BBQ. The sweet tea was just like any other amazing southern sweet tea, oh was it good. The brisket sandwich looked like a lot of meat & I thought it was going to be dry but it was the best brisket ever, like melted in your mouth. My boyfriend didn't believe me and tried the other half needless to say he ate all of it leaving me with no leftovers.lol He liked the cauliflower although I wasn't a big fan because of the big pieces and would prefer in it the buffalo sauce. Thought that because this place was in Orlando and part of a cute group of other restaurants that the quality of service and food would be outstanding. Well, it was not. The girl at the register was nice enough, but the blonde girl who was putting the orders out on the counter for us to pick up was totally rude and spiteful! I am guessing she's the girl that other people have mentioned in their reviews. The food was okay, but fairly flavorless. My ribs were burnt on the edges to the point that they were inedible - hard as a rock. We had really hoped for some decent BBQ as we traveled a little ways to try it. Great brisket sandwich! This was suggested to me by a friend. It was pretty good! The brisket tower the sandwich and in all honesty for what I paid did not know I was going to get that much brisket on the sandwich. It had a light smoke flavor to it and honestly did not need any sauce. The fries were hot and fresh but the star of the show was the brisket sandwich. I had never been here before in the service was decent. They seem to probably need one other person to run the counter, however everybody is hurting for staff members and they did the best they could. We went with bbq pulled pork Carolina style. Carolina style meant it had bbq mustard, pickles, and slaw. The other style available was Texas. Texas meant just bbq sauce. An absolutely scrumptious sandwich. The flavors were on point in every bite. It same with two sides. We picked cheesy grits and fries. Fries were nice and crispy and cheesy grits had excellent flavor. I was dipping my fries in the cheesy grits and it was a perfect marriage. They knew that we were sharing this and cut the sandwich in half for us and gave us each our own food try with half a sandwich, some fries and a cup of grits. For everything it came to $15.50, which I found to be very reasonable. Other options available are ribs, brisket, salad, loaded fries, popcorn chicken and grilled cheese. Other side options available are beans, coleslaw, collard greens, and potato salad. They also have a selection of sauces. These include sweet, tangy, the reaper and bbq mustard. We sat indoor, managed to grab a table located at good distance from others. First time trying this new place out and will certainly be back! Got the pulled pork sandwich - you can get it either Carolina style (has vinegar and slaw on it) or Texas style (meat and bbq sauce). I got it Texas style - comes with two sides - i choose the cheese grits and fries. The meat is smoked really nicely - its not over powering but strong enough you can taste the smoke. Bread of the sandwich is thick enough to support the massive amount of meat you get on it but not so thick you fill up on bread. The bbq sauce has a little bit of sweetness to it. The cheese grits were really good and enjoyed the little pops of corn kernels in it as it gives it this sweetness to help cut through the cheese! The fries were a bit disappointing as the season was good but there was no crunch to them. Felt like they may have been the end of a batch that had been out for a while. Tried their homemade lemonade as well - okay at best. Wasnt as tart as I like my lemonade and tasted more like sugar water to me. 09/2018 - went there for lunch and got the smokehouse salad! The grits were great and a MUST order and the brisket was perfectly cooked but did have a lot of fat. The total for the meal was around $18 before tip which I thought was okay but a little high. Overheard others say was a touch salty or fatty but I found it sublime and well balanced. Memorable toast, that too. Perfect combination of crispy buttery chewiness textures going on. Portions were plenty. All three sides were wonderful too, cheese grits, heaping pile a fries, and collards just because. Sauces were impressive. Sweet was super sweet but others will love it.
