I had 2 appliances down. My dryer can be repaired. My dishwasher is extinct apparently, parts are not available. He got the dryer part in 24 hours, the problem is coordinating his time to my time! I'm a satisfied customer and do not blame them for parts that are no longer available. I just wish all appliances lasted forever!! read more

Everything was very eficient. From the first call for an estimate up until the part was was installed. They came once for the diag. and again to install the timer on my dryer. The total cost was 371.65. The service was great but I did think the price was a bit high and the reason I only gave 4 stars. read more

I had my refrigerator repaired which I was positive I was going to have to replace of course we just went grocery shopping. I couldn't be happier to find out that my 10 year old Whirlpool will live another couple of years! Just had a lot of ice build up. The owner actually did the work herself! I had called she came and within 45 minutes we were back in business and my refrigerator was getting cold again. I couldn't be more happy with the professionalism and knowledge both from the customer service rep who answered the phone to the owner who was so nice and knowledgeable. We had a dishwasher installed recently and it was not done correctly. The door would not swing down into a completely open position so the bottom drawer would be at a 30° angle and roll back in while loading the tray. The installer (South Shore Install Services) refused to come back and do it correctly and told me it's not their problem and to call Kitchenaide directly. The job was assigned to Thistle and they were extremely professional. They scheduled the time, the technician (Richard) arrived during the defined time slot and fixed it in about 15 minutes. The only reason I didn't give all five stars is bc my rating is only on the first email and phone communications, havent' had my washer repaired yet. After a summer of no calls returned by contractors, landscapers, and carpenters, Thistle rates ten stars in responsiveness. First Amy emailed with me several times through Yelp, and when I called (close to closing time), she called me back after hours to set up the appointment, just wow! She also gave me rates up front and shared with me several times that I would get on a wait list and if any cancellations came up she would call. Such a contrast to what seems like the majority of small businesses on the Cape. So far, so good. read more

I am so grateful for the service they provided, they were on time, thorough and completely professional. I had a warranty on a refrigerator with Lowe's that has a contract with A&E Factory service. A&E came out twice and couldn't fix the problem, in fact the reason it wasn't working the second trip out was because the A&E tech forgot to re-attach a wire he had pulled off. I will definitely have Thistle Appliance work on my appliances in the future. read more

I contacted Thistle Appliance to repair my dryer, as they are a Maytag approved repair company. While they did a good job repairing the dryer, they totally overcharged me for the required part - more than double what I would have paid online for the exact same part. When I pointed this out to them, they said they only bought from certain suppliers and gave me a very small refund. So while I was pleased with the repair work done, I was certainly not pleased with the bill. read more
