We were left with a refrigerator that would no longer freeze and was told that we needed to have closed system diagnosed for resolution of issue. We were told that this was something they could not repair as they do not have license to work with the gas in compressors. After calling another vendor who is licensed to perform this type of repair, we were told that the diagnosis was incorrect and that the issue was due to poor workmanship and a wire being caught in a fan. This vendor charged 25% less to come out diagnosis and repair the issue that Westport Appliance had left us with. After presenting Westport Appliance with the receipt detailing the diagnosis of jammed wire causing fan not to work and repair cost they credited the lower labor rate, instead of crediting the higher sub par labor rate they had charged us for the sub par installation they had performed. Very Poor Customer Service and Exceptionally High Labor Rate for quality of work performed.

He called me back promptly and after a brief description of the issue, he said he would come take a look the following day. When he got here, he was efficient and respectful. He quickly diagnosed the problem and informed me that he needed to order a part, but would be back to fix everything as soon as it came in. It only took a day and he was back to fix the oven. Both the oven valve and ignitor needed replacing. He installed both of the new parts in a jiffy and was done within 30 minutes. His prices are also very reasonable. If your oven is acting up and you don't want to spend the $600+ for a new one, give Paul a call! I would definitely use him again.

(Btw, we used to own Kenmore Platinum appliances and we never had any issues; the fully loaded dishes would always come out sparking clean without the need to scrub). After doing research and seeing all the poor ratings and negative reviews of other appliance repair companies, I remembered the positive experience I had with YWC, particularly with their technician ERIC. Coincidentally, he literally just returned to work for the company after a very long break the same week our fridge broke down. Thank god!!! He's a lifesaver. Everyone needs to keep their food cold so it doesn't spoil and cause food poisoning, right??? Shortly upon arrival, Eric immediately diagnosed the problem (several problems actually) and got our fridge working again very quickly. In just 2 hours he fixed a dysfunctional freezer door, replaced a broken part for the auto defrost system, defrosted the condenser, repaired the ice maker, and removed a non-functional sliding rack. WOW. He's literally one of the best going above and beyond expectations--trustworthy, dependable, professional, and EFFICIENT.
