Then their licensed hygienist Sergio Amezcua, told me I had periodontal disease and that needed to be treated right away. I was scared because I had never heard this before and let him do a deep cleaning on me which took less than 15 minutes. They billed my insurance $900 and made me pay over $300 out of pocket for what insurance didn't cover. This was an absolute scam, as deep cleaning take a minimum of 30 minutes PER QUADRANT and they did my entire mouth in less time than a regular routine cleaning. Luckily I still had a second comprehensive cleaning on my insurance and went to my previous dentist across town who verified that my teeth had no concerns, I do NOT have periodontal disease and did not need a deep cleaning. I also didn't even receive an adequate deep cleaning had I needed one so they are conducting insurance fraud to collect thousands of dollars from your insurance, pretending that you have a serious condition when you DONT. Ironically I called the office to speak with the dentist because I wasn't even sure he knew about this hygienist diagnosing and treating conditions he is not legally allowed to and coincidentally they told me that dentist "no longer worked there" even though I saw him 2 weeks prior. They said another dentist could talk to me but I attempted contact for an entire week and they just stopped answering my phone calls. This place is a completely scam and I will never go to a corporate dentist office again. In addition, all those positive reviews about Dr. Sherman (I saw him and liked him too), well he is suspiciously GONE so who knows who that have running that place now.

I recently went in for a routine cleaning. During the procedure, I was told I had to wear the black plastic protective glasses, or I wasn't welcome there and should leave. When I explained to Dr. Timothy Luong that I'm severely claustrophobic and have a history of panic attacks from previous life-threatening surgeries, he showed zero empathy. He didn't listen to my concerns at all--he simply insisted on the glasses and, when I couldn't comply due to my medical condition, asked me to leave immediately. This complete lack of compassion and accommodation for a legitimate health issue was shocking and unacceptable. No effort was made to discuss alternatives or understand my situation. The main issue was that my secondary insurance had been billed as the primary insurance. I worked with a Delta representative, and they explained that everything would need to be resubmitted either by the dental office or through a claim filed by me. When I brought this to the office staff's attention, I was not looking for an argument. I was simply trying to point out the issue so they could review it and correct the billing. Unfortunately, the staff became defensive and rude. That experience is what ultimately caused me to lose trust in the office after being a patient there for five years. If you've been victim to not being heard before, then Dr. Tran and her staff at All Smiles By Design is a place that I highly recommend. From reception to dental hygienists to consultation, I feel that the team takes pride in what they do and has empathy for their patients. Amazing hospitality, staffing that genuinely cares and they do the job right with no rushing. If you get anxious or are uncomfortable about anything, just talk to them. There's no pressure and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable because let's be honest, no one likes the sound of the drill or seeing the big needle used for numbing...lol. The reception area is nice and is not your usual, boring open seating area. Instead there's living room furniture to make it feel more cozy, an accent wall for the gram and there's coffee, bottled water and snacks (I recommend waiting until after your cleaning or procedure for obvious reasons). Dr. Tran is an artist in her field and is the real deal. She was able to help find a resolution to a long term problem that I faced and affected my self confidence for many years.
