Before having service with them please check if your insurance is in network (mostly not for this location), otherwise they will charge you for that insurance discount on your EOB (so, you have to pay that). Luckily I'm not having other services with them. (for one implant cost more than others by half price!!!!) I enjoyed my entire experience. I made an appointment under stress. I was surprised I could get in so soon. I arrived just on time. Pandemic safety procedures were in-place. I waited fewer than ten minutes before I was seen. Every person to whom I spoke was professional. Every person that worked on me was skillful and friendly. I was there for three hours to get full xrays, a periodontal examination, and a thorough teeth cleaning. No time was wasted. I received constant attention. I have more visits scheduled. I was referred to this doctor for a dental implant and tooth extraction. The first portion was to be the tooth extraction. On my initial visit I was told by the front office that I did not owe a 'consultation fee' and that I was to pay $693 .00 on every visit after the services were performed. On the first two visits I paid them the requested amount using my debit card. I had informed them that I am a truck driver and that my work schedule was dynamic and at times unpredictable, and asked them if they could accommodate that to which they replied 'yes.' On my third appointment in Oct/2018 when they texted me for confirmation of the appointment I replied 'no' because I was in Oregon delivering a load and I did not know when my employer would get me back to Southern California. Three days later when I got home and tried to pay my rent, phone bill and car insurance payments, I did not have sufficient funds to do so, because this doctor had gone into my bank account without my prior consent or knowledge and withdrawn $693.00 dollars for work he had not performed. When I called to inquire, I was told rudely by the office staff that ". . . It was my Obligation to pay"!!! My obligation was to pay for services rendered at the time they were rendered. Somehow this doctor feels as if he is entitled to my money for work he has not performed and that my bank account is his personal account. I had to take a day from work to go to my Credit Union Branch in Pasadena, Ca to close the debit card and get a new one. I called them back and told them that 'Our Association was over' since I can not trust them with my banking information and what they had done was noting short of stealing from me. Shortly thereafter they send me a bill asking for the 'Consultation fee', two and a half month after my first visit, when in every appointment before they demanded payment which I paid. I am now dyeing this man for unauthorized charges to my account without my permission or knowledge, and I would like to hear his explanation to the judge as to why he did not collect his so called consultation fee on the first visit as stated by his own paperwork which states that payment is promptly due at the time services are rendered!??? One star is given, because I can't give no stars. Perhaps you will have a better experience with this charlatan. For the life of me I still can't understand why they would do this since I was going to pay them another $2700.00 to put the implant in my mouth! I'm dumbfounded. Dr kepic is amazing at what he does. But his front office needs an overhaul. I have been a patient for almost ten years and ever since Diane left their billing is a complete mess. I get monthly statements for services covered under my PPO insurance with zero claims made to my insurance. It is so bad I am looking into other specialists in the area. Dr Kepic needs to look into his front office. over billing insurances and or patients is not the way to go. read more

Dr performed 3 dental implant for me years ago, with minimal discomfort and maximum results. He and his staff are always professional, kind, and interested in me as a person. It's like family there. Through the recommendation of Lupe, one of Dr. Kepic's fantastic assistants, I am currently unable to talk much, so I've decided to write a review during this time. My primary dentist recommended that I go see Dr. Kepic after finding periodontal disease during one of my checkups (Note: Go see your dentist and keep up with your maintenance! Floss! It helps!). My first visit was to receive a consultation of what Dr. Kepic would recommend to be our course of action to fix my teeth because of the periodontal disease. He recommended to have two separate gum flap reduction surgeries. The first surgery was completed in 2015 and it was not painful AT ALL. Dr. Kepic and his staff performed the surgery flawlessly and I was out within 1.5 hours. Two weeks later, I came back to get my stitches out. Both experiences were fantastic. The second surgery today was no different. Same fantastic experience. Same professionalism. Same no pain during and after surgery. I think the best part about Dr. Kepic's practice is his genuine concern for his patients. The night after immediately after surgery, he calls his patients personally to follow up and make sure they're in no discomfort. That is awesome! I definitely recommend Dr. Kepic for your periodontal needs. I'd come back...but I don't plan to have anymore surgeries anytime soon! read more

Short version: If you do not already have a dentist you love and you are in drivable distance of Dr. Kepic, then go here. I only gave him 5 stars because Yelp does not let you rate more than 5. Dr. Kepic is both very smart and very professional. His staff is top notch. The whole office is well run, clean, efficient and friendly. You are in very good hands with Dr. Kepic and your teeth will be cleaner and healthier. Many people do not enjoy going to the dentist, I am in that category. If you are one of these people I would recommend going here. In my particular case I was referred to Dr. Kepic because I had gums that needed special care. If I did not get the problem dealt with I could have eventually lost my teeth. I got my gums cleaned out and now I can say that this man and his staff legitimately saved my teeth and the health of my whole mouth. I am grateful and when I get older and do not need dentures, I have Dr. Kepic and his staff to thank. If you have bleeding gums, or if you have perfectly healthy gums. Nobody really likes going to the dentist, unless you're Steve Martin in "Little Shop of Horrors" but Dr. Kepic and staff make a daunting experience as good as it gets. Periodontists take care of your gums, and if you're in Dr. Kepic's office, it's probably because something bad is happening to your gums...which you care about because no gums = no teeth! Really, going in to an office where you're going to have to spend a bunch of money to keep your teeth in your head, likely with some discomfort involved, is not a promising start to a good medical relationship. BUT! Dr. Kepic and his team are awesome! It starts with appointments: the office staff answer the phone, return calls, use email, and know the purpose of a clock and appointments: they practice all the Lost Arts of polite efficiency that seem to be missing from every medical practice on the planet! I have never waited more than a few minutes to be seen at this office, and the entire crew run a politely tight ship on scheduling... yet I have never felt rushed when talking to the doctor or any of his associates. And Dr. Kepic is, simply, superb. He's been at this gum thing a long time, and he knows his stuff such that he is in high (and beloved) demand to teach his science at both local and far-flung schools. I saw him today for a checkup and he's off to Oregon to teach a special class two days from now "...because they need someone" as he told me. I had a flap surgery and a graft so far, one more graft to go. And honestly? No pain. Discomfort, yes. But crippling dental-phobia-inducing pain? No. It's weird to have someone so enthralled with your teeth and saving their lives that they sometimes take photos of what they are doing for future teaching reference, but Dr. Kepic and his colleagues seem to have gentleness and caution as their over-riding goals in mind when they are working in your mouth. Surgeries went well, after care was very clear, there were followup calls to check on me, and even though a periodontist is simply not someone you ever hope to meet outside of, say, someone's cocktail party... Dr. Kepic and his staff exemplify the concept of professional medical care in every aspect of the practice that I have experienced. Go for the experienced doctor with a great office staff: that would be Dr. Kepic. Finding genuine healers, those who practice medicine for the primary reason that they were born to do so, is rare. Finding a healer that also teaches means you have found someone you can trust who is going to take excellent care of you. That's Dr. Kepic. Go see him just get the work done and over with... It has been almost exactly 7 years since my last review of Dr. Kepic and everything is still the same including, and most importantly that I am still denture free despite the fact that I am 66. When I was in my early 30's my general dentist referred me to Dr. Kepic because he said that I was having trouble with my gums that he was unable to address, and he felt that Dr. Kepic was the best. I know that he takes genuine concern in my dental health and works tirelessly to see that everything is done to insure my gums and teeth are well taken care of. The hygienists in his office are all first rate and exhibit the same concern and professionalism Dr. Kepic does as well. My wife and daughter have used him as well and both are of the same opinion of Dr. Kepic as I. I just left DR. Kepic Office, and I felt I have been abuse after, inspecting my implants he ask if I smoke? I guess he never bother to read his patient form, after I answer yes 6 cigarettes a day he went on to lecture me for a good 15 minutes, after he was done he recommend to have existing implants 2 of them remove and he want it to install 4 of them then he went on to tell me that I really don't care if you get this done by me, but you should stay and get a full set of x rays that's when I asked him why he was so defensive and he just stay quiet , when I walk out both of receptionist seem little embarrass about the way he spoke to his patient, I refuse to pay any money to him and as a matter of fact I will be contacting my insurance and complaint about the way I was treated. read more

I was referred to Dr. Kepic by my dentist for an evaluation/services regarding gum recession. I have since received a comprehensive root scaling and planing, two gingival grafts (different sections) using palate donor sites, and follow-up appointments. Throughout these services, I have not once experienced any discomfort or pain. Dr. Kepic and his support staff are extremely skilled, and also demonstrate good teamwork and communication during more complex procedures. After the surgery, they provided very clear and written instructions on how to best care for the surgical sites, and openly encourage calling in between appointments if there is any concern (in my case, I have made no such calls since no concerns arose). Their kindness and professionalism also extends to the front office staff, who have been extremely helpful and patient. I had switched between dental plans in the middle of receiving services, which resulted in several mistakes being made by my insurance provider and what they said they would cover. The front office staff has been in constant direct communication with this insurance provider in order to follow up on these issues, and have relayed their progress back to me periodically. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but in this case I feel I need to let other people know my experience with Dr. Kepic and his staff. I am 58 years old I have severe osteo arthritis, MS, and chronic vomiting syndrome along with worst case of" fear of all dentists" I met Dr. Kepic through a family member of mine. This was about a year ago, I was to complete the pre patient forms and drop them off at his office. I went on a Saturday morning at about 8:00 a.m. slide the paper work through the mail slot, cause what Dr. works on Saturday, as I headed back to my car I hear the door open and someone asking hey are you Bill ? I said yes , surprised anyone was in the office. He had this huge smile on his face, it was Dr. Kepic, He shook my hand and I immediately (I know this sounds stupid but it's true) could feel his warmth, sincerity and kindness. We talked for a minute in the parking lot and I left feeling very comfortable and calm. You have to remember I am or was deathly afraid of any dentist. Without going through exact details most of my teeth were either broken, rotted out or had fallen out, along with severe gum disease. On my first visit to his office I felt like I already knew everyone, they are the kindness, most professional people I have come across in the medical field in my life and I have been to a lot of Dr.s offices in the last 7years . After my exam, we talked about my other conditions and how this would affect my ability to continue with extractions, gum surgery and implants. I told Dr. Kepic that there will be times when my other symptoms could or will keep me from being able to make my appts. He said we will work around my other problems and not to worry about it. I needed all my teeth taken out and extensive gum surgery and implants put in. He would set up surgery on Saturday mornings (unheard of.) with his asst. Lupe who is a whole other review ( I love her so much). And because of my other health issues we had to do this in stages, meaning it would take four or five visits to complete the surgery's. This took about a year , because of my MS other health issues there would be times I could not get out of bed the day of my appt. This was NEVER a problem with Dr. Kepic. We finished in Dec. of 2012, along with visits to Dr. Mertens(who is the next SAINT I will reveiw) I have a GREAT SMILE and can eat anything I want! I was so bad when I went to him I had lost at least 30 pounds due to illnesses and being unable to eat any solid food. I have gained it all back, plus a little LOL. I truly believe Dr.Kepic has saved my LIFE! Not only because of his surgical skills but because he is a caring and loving human being. Never going back here again and I don't care how much experience he has! I've never felt so uncomfortable with any other doctor of dentist I've been to over the year as I have with Dr. Kepic. He just gives off a really bad vibe like either he's miserable with his job, miserable with his life, or he's just not a friendly person and you can strongly feel that from him when you talk to him or at least I can. I was as nice, patient, and respectful as I can be to him, but still he was extremely inpatient with me. He acted like he just wanted to go home. I had major oral surgery as preparation for an implant and could not have imagined the experience going any better. The process required various procedures between healing and re-visits. Considering the volume of work done in my mouth, there was absolutely no pain and virtually no discomfort throughout the entire process. And I have never met anyone who expressed the kind of care and concern for the well-being of someone like Dr. Kepic and his team. He and an assistant actually walked me to my car after some of the procedures. His staff/assistants are equally as professional. Part of their daily routine is to meet as a team to review all patients and procedures for the day. From there it moves like a choreographed dance. Dr. Kepic has the best staff you could ask for. Very kind people that make you feel at home, but Dr. Kepic himself is the opposite. He's the most rude and awkward doctor I've ever been to and gives the impression he hates his job. I think it's time for him to retire. He wears his stress on his sleeve. He absolutely hates it when his patients ask him questions! He literally sighs and walks out of the room when you ask him even a simple question. He's extremely rude and unprofessional! The #1 thing I look for in a doctor is one that answers your questions and explains things thoroughly, and one that acts like they love what they do, but that's not Dr. Kepic. Just went in today for surgery, I have anxiety disorder, they gave me Valium for before I took both and neither helped, I let them know I was still feeling anxious and that the pills didn't kick in an hour and a half later, dr Kepic and his staff disregarded my worry and continued inject me with the anesthetic.. After my heart rate rose he then decided to tell me it'd increase my heart rate! As a person with anxiety this is detrimental and caused me to go into a huge anxiety episode, I'm righting this with tears down my face, barely able to breath.. NEXT TIME LET YOUR PATIENTS KNOW THE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE MEDICATION YOURE GIVING its so UN-Ethical and he tried to tell me my mother could come into to room to calm my anxiety. Lupe also continued to prescribe pain medication I said I wouldn't never take and didn't want!!! If I say no to medication you can't prescribe it!! Oh and they didn't even know my age when I went in, I'm 19 and they asked my mom to sign the release! GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER! read more
