When my husband and I came in for our first visit, the experience only got better. The entire staff was incredibly friendly! They also took the time to give us a tour of the office, which was spotless and very well maintained. I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at this office. My appointment was…read morescheduled for 1:30 PM, yet I waited over two hours with no updates. When I asked the front desk for an estimate, I was told "10 minutes," which turned into another 30 minutes on top of the long wait. When the dentist finally came in, he did not greet me, introduce himself, or explain anything. He came in grunting, immediately grabbed my bottom lip with force, and said "lots of tartar" -- which I already knew, that's why I scheduled the appointment. He then walked away to see another patient. Meanwhile, he spoke politely and attentively to the next patient, asking her about her concerns -- I was never asked how I was feeling, what my symptoms were, or anything about my pain. After this brief interaction, the dentist never returned. After nearly three hours in the office, I was told no treatment would be done that day. I was only given a prescription, and even that was communicated indirectly through the assistant while he was in the room. This experience felt dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Patients deserve basic courtesy, communication, and consent -- none of which I received here.

Let me put this review into context a bit - I have been to 6 different dentists and Mountain View Dental is my 7th and not all of those were horrible. In fact some were great. But not one was absolutely exceptional the way this office is. I have extremely sensitive teeth and gum recession which causes pain even when I am brushing my teeth or breathing in cold air, causing the need for a lot more patience and precision for the folks at a dental office working on my teeth. Most dentists are more concerned about patient throughput than actually taking care to not cause unnecessary pain with the extra time it takes. But not here - Dr Rivera and her staff are so gentle and comforting I almost feel like I am going to a spa. I have never felt more well cared for then at this office. They provide soft, cozy blankets, tell light hearted stories to keep my mind off the procedure, and put on good TV shows even though I am too nervous (read - uncontrollably crying from anxiety and nerves) to open my eyes to watch them. They don't shame me for this as other dentists have done - they just make it as quick and easy as possible to take good care of my teeth. If you are looking for a new dentist, a second opinion, or simply want to experience the way going to the dentist should be, I cant recommend this office enough.

Dr…read more Swamidass is extremely skillful and thoroughly explains procedures and makes you feel at ease and comfortable. He performed two lower implants and I'm now in the healing process with no issues, and no post surgery pain/discomfort whatsoever other than mild soreness. His dental assistant is also very dedicated and skillful with an awesome attitude. The front office staff, Frances, is very friendly and cordial and a pleasure to interact with. I'm here as a Veterans Administration VA Community Care patient. I'm extremely pleased to say that the VA could not have chosen a better place for me to undergo dental implant surgery.
