Pure Air LA recently replaced my ~40-year-old rooftop packaged AC/heat unit with a new inverter…read moreheat pump, and I'm really pleased with how the project went. We are in condo community so there are additional complications around the HOA process, all of which were proactively managed. As someone who does a lot of my own research before hiring anyone, I appreciated that their pricing was fair and they were straightforward about what the job involved. The crew was professional and knew what they were doing. Their communication was outstanding (Hi Miranda!), and they helped to ensure I had all of the necessary paperwork to file for the rebate with LADWP. If you're on the Westside and need HVAC work, especially a rooftop packaged unit swap, I'd recommend giving them a call.

I searched for another HVAC company and found Pure Air. They sent a technician out that same evening, and he fixed the problem within an hour. What impressed me the most was the technician, Mikhail. He clearly knew what he was doing and worked with great attention to detail. He took off his shoes before entering to keep the floors clean, and he handled everything carefully with clean hands so he wouldn't leave marks on our matte white walls. (The previous technician had left dirty handprints all over the wall and the indoor AC unit.) Not only did Mikhail fix the problem quickly, but he also treated our property with genuine care and respect. That's something we really appreciated. The next time we need any HVAC service, we'll definitely be asking for Mikhail again. Highly recommended!

For what I needed, which was to wash two outdoor gravity chair cushions, it did the job…read more 1. No frills no thrills. This is a minimalist spot. You may want to wait in your car as there's little to no seating inside and out. During the day there's a MX restaurant, a liquor store and a coffee shop to fraternize. 2. Safety: I've seen a few comments about sketchiness of this business and assume they mean the clientele or people therein and around. I was here on Sunday afternoon and evening. There are definitely some folks that appear to live a certain lifestyle, but none that made me feel threatened per se. One guy was super odd, but I just avoid him. El Segundo, as a community has been both sketch and Mayberry-esq for sometime. Lots of tattoos and biker types mixed with young couples and young families and retirees. You get the gamet. Now the properties are $1.5 for a 700sqft 2/1 old home with zero beach view or access and rather 2 miles from the beach. Rent isn't cheap either. That's not a sketchy type environment. The cars are not cheap cars, and the people simply look like everyday humans simply doing their laundry. I wouldn't come here late or during their 24 hr night stretch simply because I wouldn't go anywhere late like that doing laundry. Less people, somewhat remote location breeds room for shadiness. That said, ESPD does not play and will be there in seconds. 3. Costs: quarters only. No cards, no apps, no Apple Pay, nada. So bring quarters. The machine does provide change for $1-20 bills but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't give you the right change. Also it was $5.75 to wash one 5ft long gravity chair cushion. That's a lot yes, but it's a lot more to buy a new one. Count your blessings and move on. You can wash in a smaller washer for $3.75. Drying was $.25 every 8 minutes and it took 24 mins to dry each cushion separately in a dryer. Some machines do eat your quarters with no way to get refunded. Just bang it and maybe you'll get your change back, it worked for me. But yes some machines eat do your money. They should fix that but why would they? No law that says you can't cheat customers out of their quarters! Be wise. 4. Parking: huge lot, plenty of free parking and well lit at night. 5. Folding clothes: there's two areas to do this. Often taken. Not a lot of room there either. 6. No sink to hand wash stuff and no restrooms. The MX spot may have one but I'm sure they want you to contribute something. 7. Cleanliness: seemed fine. Maybe they just cleaned. I saw no concerns except the outside trash can was overflowing. All in all, my W/D at home isn't big enough to wash these so I was thankful as this place served its purpose. I watched people come here with 5-6 loads on average, so I assume it gets crowded often. The place is narrow so moving carts around isn't happening. I'd come here again simply to wash these oversized outdoor items. But that's it.
