If your considering getting Dental work or surgery done here, with this so-called Dr. "Omotto", or whatever the hell his name is, be forewarned and please read this first. He didn't care about me so tit for tat. I say this sincerely... so you dont need to endure the pain and cold treatment. I'm also sorry for the review length but I wanted to share all the details and let u decide. This "Dental Surgeon" is competent enough at first glance. The office is nice enough. Must have been paid with a lot of money. Remember that. I had a very tough extraction of two teeth but the day of surgery it jumped up to 3 and then 4... WTF?? I wanted to know where he was getting this info and why it was needed. As a patient, do I not have the right to know? Especially since its deviating from what was agreed on?! My other sub-par Dentist at least stated they didnt agree with this. Maybe in the future it may be needed but not now. It seemed like Omotto was just searching how to con me out of more money. Because when that didnt work.. So I said just the two and no more. Like our original agreement. I was already stretched to the limit in terms of finances and here for surgery. Not more consultation. However, it wasn't over but now he also wants more x-rays!! My other Dentist already sent them; full 360 and up close detail of the area from a few days ago. So now he wants the same thing and an extra $260?? Again... NO. They were sent and on his desk!! He wasn't happy with my decision and literally shook his head. Why? To do what we had agreed on? So we forged ahead and almost had terror hit home. I needed sedation and was being strapped down with bright lights in my face. I explicitly told them that this type of situation usually causrs panic attacks as I suffer from PTSD. I was/still am USMC and was captured and tortured once. Despite telling them before to give me some anti-anxiety medication FIRST they were doing the opposite I was fading and starting to lose it when the ONE GOOD PERSON I'd met there helped out. I had a very sweet and caring Nurse, "G" When she did a very human and sympathetic action. She softly and in-no-way unprofessional, touched my face and gently kept saying it would be okay until the anti-anxiety medicine was given and eventually I was put under. Afterwards, she was there to help me walk and get my bearings again. She didnt rush me. She made sure I was coming out of the sedation fog and didnt push it. "G" If u somehow read this, thank you so much! You get the Star for this place. I'm sorry for the things you probably endure each day there. Getting back to basics, I was concerned about the lack of PPE's (Personal Protective Gear) as there was limited to none. Just FYI as that's standard practice. Will be checking with BBB on that... Further, Dr. Otto-whatever never stopped to see me in recovery, nor did he call or text to check and see how I was doing. None of his staff either! I never saw or heard from him again. From the say prior in consultation, he is smug and brash, acting like he knows everything and his patients are all idiots and things like my genuine concerns aren't important to him. He didnt take notes or anything when I outlined some very important things to know!! He wants his money or a significant $$$ down before he even gives you the time of day. Period. And then he gets it, does his sub-standard work (as I'm still hurting), and pardon my French, but I am a human being, and you have no right to treat me that way. I fought and risked my life for 20 god damn years for your freedom and safety just to get talked down to like I'm a sub-standard human being because I have some nightmares on things you couldn't handle for a day? ÷×@# you!! I would not recommend this place or Doctor to anyone. It looks nice and I'm sure that's from all money he has swindled out of people for extra things. He doesn't care about his patients, how they may be hurting or barely getting by, just their money. Dentistry is an option in life I guess. Forget a courtesy like checking with your patients after a procedure, being available for any questions, or listening to concerns any patient may have. I dont ask for much. But act like so many other Doctors out there that think they they know what is best, are above others, and forget emotions or feelings patients may have. Its damn cruel and actions speak louder than words. Rarely do I say it... but I feel this guy is nothing more than a presumptuous sadistic jerk. I guess Dentistry is just is just that. I was referred to Dr. Omoto by my Dentist. I'm in the process of getting an implant. Today was the extraction of the bad tooth. This was my first tooth extraction, so I did not know what to expect. I called up the office on 1/6, paid my bill, and requested that receipt be mailed to me but, instead, I received a bill in the mail. I called the office again on 1/14, and the front desk person was rude, unprofessional, and hung up the phone. I called back and spoke directly to Dr. Omoto who was unapologetic and unaccountable for his staff's behavior. Dr. Omoto stated that he had too many staff members, and if I did not have the person's name, he could do nothing. This is unfortunate because the office is a tiny single provider office that would have taken little effort on his part to ask who answered the phone and his staff accountable. read more

I too went to Dr. Omoto and was treated very poorly. It happened about four or five years ago. I went there to get my mouth prepped for an implant. He told me that I will not need general anesthesia, that most people can handle the removal of a tooth with local anesthesia--untrue. While I was strapped in with lights glaring in my face, it was the most traumatic experience I'd Ever gone through. I cursed him when he was done and said to him he was very unprofessional in lying to me that I did not need general anesthesia. I asked if he was a sucker for giving pain to people. He then told my dentist that he gave me a choice to have general or not. He's such a liar. This procedure was to remove the tooth, root and all, and put in the posts for the implant. His bedside manners is a bit to be desired. I would not recommend him to remove my dogs tooth. Sorry I did not post this years ago. I was too repulsed by him to say his name. My general dentist referred me to Dr.Omoto after he realized I had a loose, impacted crown in my mouth. The crown had been done at Western Dental but it was so badly done that it cracked in less than a year and it became extremely sensitive and loose. I didn't want to go back to them so I was brought to Dr. Omoto to get the tooth extracted out of my mouth once and for all. Note that I currently have braces so the gap will be closed orthodontically. On my first visit with Dr. Omoto, I was helped by a young lady in the front counter, she handed me paperwork and after a few minutes I was taken in by another male assistant. After reviewing my history and information Dr.Omoto came in to the exam room and checked my mouth and explained to me what would happen in the next visit. I went over financial paperwork with the same nice lady in the front, and made my way out till my next appointment. The day I got my tooth extracted I walked in very nervously and scared since I have never had any teeth extracted before. After signing in and finishing the rest of the financial work (payment for service) I was called into a room with a flat bed and a lot of lights. The lady inside explained to me the steps and process of what was going to happen. We got started and after about less than 10 minutes with some anesthesia and tools, the tooth came out. I was so relieved and happy because I didn't feel anything! Afterwards, Dr. Omoto stitched me up and I sat down in another waiting room until I was explained what to do for the next few days. I was told the stitches would fall off on their own and healing time would take about 2 weeks. I was given a prescription and I was ready to go. I only felt slight pain two days after, other then that the work done was AMAZING! I am very happy with the healing and awesome work! I will definitely recommend this place to my friends. read more

I was referred to Dr. Omoto by my primary dentist, Dr. Sheng. I needed two of my wisdom teeth pulled ASAP. I went in for a consultation and they scheduled my surgery 3 days later. Dr. Omoto is a fantastic oral surgeon. He came to me highly recommended by a colleague. He is very skilled, patient, thorough, and understanding. I had 4 wisdom teeth for extraction, one of which was impacted and horizontal. He recommended that I have anesthesia as it wouldn't be a straightforward extraction. I preferred to do it under local, and he respected that and reassured me several times that we could stop whenever I wanted/needed to preop and on the day of the procedure. He was fantastic. My 5 year old son had to have an extra tooth and 2 baby teeth removed. Needless to say we were stressed because he was going to have anesthesia. Our worries were gone after the consultation with Dr Omoto. He was patient and detailed and relieved our worries. The procedure was done today and he and his staff were exceptional. Do not go here! The fat hispanic lady on the front desk should be fired and is stupid and the staff does not do their job right and has a bad attitude!!! I called 2 weeks to schedule my appointment and told them to get my insurance information and medical records from my dentist office and they didn't do it.. They called them the day that of my appointment and they couldn't get a hold of them. The staff told me i have to pay $260.. Nobody apologized and admitted that they didn't call my dentist ahead of time.. They had me waited 1 hour and be seated on the examination room before telling me that they didn't do their job right. tI took a half day off my work for this. Such a waste!
