I was referred to this oral surgeon by our pediatric dentist Dr. Shari Carrol and what a wonderful and excellent recommendation. I have an 8 yr old with a fybroma on the inside of his lip. Called to make appointment and was accommodated within days. The office is super nice, great staff, very calm and zen. They send you patient forms by text message and when we got there we were whisked away to the room. Diana was the amazing dental assistant to help us. And then the super star Dr.Oseas made his grand entrance within less than 5 minutes. He explained the 2 possibility's that we were looking at. And recommended we remove it sooner than later, was able to get us in the following day. My 8yr old was super nervous about having his bump removed, but Diana came and got him, I had to stay in waiting room. They took such excellent care of him. Dr. Oseas called us that evening to check on him. Procedure was done in a blink of an eye. I highly recommend this amazing office for any oral surgery. They see kids and are super patient. Plenty of free parking. Thank you so much Dr.Oseas and staff for such a pleasent experience.

When my baby (17 months) had a tumble, the doctors provided compassionate, timely, and expert care! Unfortunately, one of the teeth had to be aided out. I was encouraged to stay with him and hold him while they performed the procedure. They played a show for him on the TV while we discussed options. They gave him a little bunny and a balloon when we left. They really couldn't have made an unfortunate event more calming and reassuring. Today we came in a few days prior to Halloween wearing his appropriate hockey jersey costume. Glad we made you all smile! Thanks again for the excellent care.

Dr. Oseas pulled my wisdom teeth about 30 years ago. My son just had his pulled this week and the experience was great. Highly recommend!

It was so frustrating. Everyone told me to wait, but the bump wasn't going away and looked gross. When I finally got in to see Dr. Yagoubian, it felt like such a relief. He saw me quickly, explained everything in a really calm, reassuring way, and removed the mucocele that same day. He then sent it to pathology and thankfully it came back benign. That peace of mind alone was worth everything. Recovery was a bit tougher than I expected, and right after the procedure I panicked thinking it was still there--but it was just swelling and bruising. Within about a week and a half, I was almost completely back to normal. His staff was honestly amazing. They were so kind, patient with my million questions, they provided clear instructions in what to do, eat and what not. If you're dealing with a stubborn lip bump and feeling stressed or confused (like I was), I really recommend seeing Dr. Yagoubian. Thank you!

There's even a little coffee bar area with a mini fridge with some drinks in the waiting area. Dr. Yagoubian is very honest, straightforward, kind and personable. He even personally called after the procedure to ask how I was doing. The kind of place you want your friends and family to go to because you know it will be a good experience for them. I recently got 2 partially bony wisdom teeth extracted with a bone graft and it went so smoothly. I slept the first day from the anesthesia, but the next day I woke up feeling very little pain and no swelling. My wife just got an implant done and her recovery has been great as well. Recommend at least going for a consultation. Their pricing is competitive as well and worth it for the quality of work and care.

I received a VIP experience at TorriMed, from scheduling my appointment to the needed extraction…read more One of my most significant concerns with the service at TorriMed is if they are in my Guardian network. Once confirmed. I told the receptionist about the urgency of my situation, and I was scheduled ASAP. On the day of my appointment, I received a call from the doctor's office asking if I could come in earlier. I did, but I completed the digital intake forms they sent before arriving. I was glad to complete the forms at my own pace at home. Plenty of parking was on site, and the atmosphere was clean, bright, upbeat, and open. I provided the receptionist with my dental referral information. One of the first things I notice is the state-of-the-art equipment. They could have me stand at a machine that scanned my face, and within moments, they had an x-ray of my mouth on the display. Dr. Samuel introduced himself and assessed the situation. I asked if he would be able to do the extraction that day. Dr. Samuel responded, "That's why I called you in earlier so that, if possible, we could do the extraction today." I was all in. So Dr. Samuel prepared me by telling me what to expect and explained a procedure he uses to promote rapid healing. The only drawback for me was the cost of the procedure and that it involved drawing some blood from me. That was the first drawing of blood at the dentist. We came to an agreement that included the Dr. providing a 200-dollar discount. I am happy with the excellent service from Dr. Samuel and his entire staff. One suggestion: pipe some soothing healing vibration music in the surgery room. I highly recommend Dr. Samuel and the TorriMed Oral Surgery and Dental Implants office. I will be back again. When you go, tell them Omar sent you.

I didn't see many reviews for Dr. Kyle Yamamoto, the other resident oral surgeon and had him…read morerecently. All I can say is -- exceptional. I had wisdom teeth that I didn't get extracted at a younger age due to financial constraints. It was a difficult extraction and we suspected I might have some sinus complications going in. Part of my tooth fractured and I had to come back for a followup to get it removed. I was pretty nervous, but Dr. Yamamoto spent a lot of time describing the procedures and making sure I was comfortable. I had remarkably no pain following either with his instructions and recommendations. Also, the staff were very nice and heartwarming (also fellow bruins!). If you come here and need oral surgery, you can't go wrong with either surgeon. Thank you so much Dr. Yamamoto!! You rock!!

If you have any anxiety about medical procedures, I suggest seeking a consult with any of the other…read moreoral surgeons in the South Bay that have substantially better reviews and do not resort to teasing a patient for their concerns. For context, my son had to have a tooth removed when he was 7 years old with Dr. Kawahara because he was too anxious to have it done with his pediatric dentist. Now almost 10 years later, we saw Dr Kawahara for a consult on removal for his impacted wisdom teeth. Upon seeing Dr. Kawahara years later and discussing how it had been a while, he teased my son about how he remembers my son crying and screaming before....which in reality my son didn't do in his office - since he had been prescribed anti-anxiety medicine beforehand for the minor procedure. (I think this comment was meant as a joke, but Dr. Kawahara's delivery is very dry; regardless we shrugged it off as a bad attempt at humor and a weird way to attempt to reestablish trust with a patient.) As we began discussing the surgery process for wisdom teeth removal, I shared that our son is slightly anxious about the surgery after hearing friends talk about their experience. With dry humor, Dr. Kawahara teased "most people survive." He repeated this phrase during our consult at least 3 more times. It began to be rude since he clearly heard me attempt to reassure my son about the IV that would be needed and recovery. Dr. Kawahara STILL insisted on repeating the phrase, "but most people survive." It became annoying to the point that I literally asked Dr. Kawahara, "Why do you continue to use that phrase when I have repeatedly expressed my son is slightly anxious about the procedure?" His response was that he was just joking. I found his way with my son to be quite insensitive and lacking in emotional intelligence. My teenage son also found the whole experience off-putting, so we are happily having his surgery done with another oral surgeon. If your dentist or orthodontist initially refers you to this office, I suggest scheduling a consult with another oral surgeon (to avoid wasting $200+ for the consult fee). There are multiple other surgeons with better reviews, so don't settle when you can see someone better.

If your considering getting Dental work or surgery done here, with this so-called Dr. "Omotto", or…read morewhatever the hell his name is, be forewarned and please read this first. He didn't care about me so tit for tat. I say this sincerely... so you dont need to endure the pain and cold treatment. I'm also sorry for the review length but I wanted to share all the details and let u decide. This "Dental Surgeon" is competent enough at first glance. The office is nice enough. Must have been paid with a lot of money. Remember that. I had a very tough extraction of two teeth but the day of surgery it jumped up to 3 and then 4... WTF?? I wanted to know where he was getting this info and why it was needed. As a patient, do I not have the right to know? Especially since its deviating from what was agreed on?! My other sub-par Dentist at least stated they didnt agree with this. Maybe in the future it may be needed but not now. It seemed like Omotto was just searching how to con me out of more money. Because when that didnt work.. So I said just the two and no more. Like our original agreement. I was already stretched to the limit in terms of finances and here for surgery. Not more consultation. However, it wasn't over but now he also wants more x-rays!! My other Dentist already sent them; full 360 and up close detail of the area from a few days ago. So now he wants the same thing and an extra $260?? Again... NO. They were sent and on his desk!! He wasn't happy with my decision and literally shook his head. Why? To do what we had agreed on? So we forged ahead and almost had terror hit home. I needed sedation and was being strapped down with bright lights in my face. I explicitly told them that this type of situation usually causrs panic attacks as I suffer from PTSD. I was/still am USMC and was captured and tortured once. Despite telling them before to give me some anti-anxiety medication FIRST they were doing the opposite I was fading and starting to lose it when the ONE GOOD PERSON I'd met there helped out. I had a very sweet and caring Nurse, "G" When she did a very human and sympathetic action. She softly and in-no-way unprofessional, touched my face and gently kept saying it would be okay until the anti-anxiety medicine was given and eventually I was put under. Afterwards, she was there to help me walk and get my bearings again. She didnt rush me. She made sure I was coming out of the sedation fog and didnt push it. "G" If u somehow read this, thank you so much! You get the Star for this place. I'm sorry for the things you probably endure each day there. Getting back to basics, I was concerned about the lack of PPE's (Personal Protective Gear) as there was limited to none. Just FYI as that's standard practice. Will be checking with BBB on that... Further, Dr. Otto-whatever never stopped to see me in recovery, nor did he call or text to check and see how I was doing. None of his staff either! I never saw or heard from him again. From the say prior in consultation, he is smug and brash, acting like he knows everything and his patients are all idiots and things like my genuine concerns aren't important to him. He didnt take notes or anything when I outlined some very important things to know!! He wants his money or a significant $$$ down before he even gives you the time of day. Period. And then he gets it, does his sub-standard work (as I'm still hurting), and pardon my French, but I am a human being, and you have no right to treat me that way. I fought and risked my life for 20 god damn years for your freedom and safety just to get talked down to like I'm a sub-standard human being because I have some nightmares on things you couldn't handle for a day? ÷×@# you!! I would not recommend this place or Doctor to anyone. It looks nice and I'm sure that's from all money he has swindled out of people for extra things. He doesn't care about his patients, how they may be hurting or barely getting by, just their money. Dentistry is an option in life I guess. Forget a courtesy like checking with your patients after a procedure, being available for any questions, or listening to concerns any patient may have. I dont ask for much. But act like so many other Doctors out there that think they they know what is best, are above others, and forget emotions or feelings patients may have. Its damn cruel and actions speak louder than words. Rarely do I say it... but I feel this guy is nothing more than a presumptuous sadistic jerk. I guess Dentistry is just is just that. I'm not asking for a therapist. Just FYI to understand me and maybe not have sub-standard care. 1 star for the nice nurse but no more because you are specialist and supposed to be better. Newsflash. Your not.
