We called Thomas Towing in a pinch after another towing company bailed on our appointment. They were kind and professional on the phone and told us they'd be there in 45 minutes. He was right on time and was really helpful problem solving a tough situation - our car was stuck in an alley parking spot with no keys and the steering wheel was locked. Hit a concrete block in the road which bent the rim and immediately flattened the tire. A friend of Thomas Towing & Recovery referred us to him as they were 3 1/2 hours out for an assist. Thomas was in the middle of two nearby pick ups from accidents when we called. He was able to still get to us within 30 to 45 minutes. He showed up not only with his truck but empathy for our situation, He worked with us to tow our vehicle to our regular automotive shop which was unfamiliar to him and also worked with us on receiving his payment which was highly reasonable. Thomas got to me on 295N before AAA or my insurance carrier could. I had no ride back home (Sherriff would take me either) so the Thomas tow truck driver dropped me off at my HOUSE! and took my car to their lot. The next day I returned to the lot to empty my car and they helped me with that. I also discovered I had not emptied my entire car and they got my remaining things and put them in my mail box. I bought a classic land cruiser out in Norfolk but it wasn't completely road safe. I called Thomas Towing and Recovery and asked if he would drive all the way out to Norfolk, pick up the car, and tow it home to Richmond....ON MEMORIAL DAY! And he said yes!!!! I would recommend Thomas towing to anybody. He's come to my rescue twice. I told him the first time he towed one of my cars to the mechanic, I'd need him in like 2 months when I move to move my 2nd car with a bad engine.. and I called him, and he asked me when I wanted him to be there, I didn't even have to go meet him where my other car was, he went and got it and showed up with it when he said he would. Was trying to do some home repairs on my car brakes and was not able to get the tire back on, Thomas Towing sent someone out in less than 45 minutes on a Sunday night and were able to get it towed to the shop even with the rear tire off. Only charged me $150 which was about a hundred dollars cheaper than another towing company quoted me before I called Thomas Towing. Super kind and helpful. My car wasn't starting for what I thought was a battery issue, they came out and helped me realize it wasn't a battery issue but probably a key issue. They could've taken my car to the shop to work on it and charge me a ton, but they let me go free of charge and just genuinely wanted to help. These folks are absolutely the best. I was in a really bad accident and my vehicles towed to their lot on West Broad. I called and they got right with me to pick up all my things from the van.
