His name is Ron, and he's the guy behind Daily Driven Per4mance. We first encountered Ron through Yelp--we were looking for local auto mechanics to look over our 20-year-old car which was having a power steering problem. Ron gave us an estimate and timeframe over Yelp for looking at our car that was within our budget and timeframe. He took a look at the car and diagnosed a problem that would cost $1500 to fix--but he didn't charge us for the inspection itself. Instead, we promised him that we would bring the car we were planning to buy to replace our old car for him to look over. And that we did--we bought a used car as a replacement, a car we were very happy with, and a car which needed an oil change. We brought it to Ron for an oil change and a general inspection. He got both jobs done within a few hours, and he charged us a fair price for the service. (And he says we got ourselves a nice used car.) We did get us a nice car--and a nice mechanic to boot. Brought my vehicle in to replace my old starter with a new one…read more After having issues w my starter I assumed I had one that wasn't good for much longer. I decided to call Honda and they gave me a quote of close to $900. After doing research I learned that the part was way more affordable ordering online so I did that. I called a few shops who were not willing to install the part. After calling Americas auto center, I was able to make an appointment for the very next day. They replaced the part and found my starter was still good. They found the issue to be a bad connection which they fixed at no additional cost to their already great price quoted. They were honest and fixed the issue. I am grateful for mechanics that don't take advantage of their customers. I would gladly bring my car back for future service needs. Miquel was upfront with cost and communicated well during the time it was in for service. We were informed of a possible leak and once throughly cleaned off and driven a bit. The leak didn't appear, so they will monitor it once I'm in for next service date. What I liked about shop, it's clean, staff are helpful and professional. It has dog treats for my dog, as I use the daycare next to it. So very convenient. All in all price was good for job done. But appreciate the staff helping us understand things along the way.
