If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would say 10/5 stars! This review starts more than a month prior, where I was planning a charity event and visited Thompson Brewing and instantly fell in love with the vibes upstairs and I knew I had to have my event here. I reached out to the establishment via their web portal and the owner Martha continually kept in contact with my via email to make sure to be accommodating to my situation and let me reserve a couple of tables for my event. As my guests came in they complimented on a few key points: 1. Well-ventilated and air conditioned 2. Food was delicious (especially for a brewery) 3. Drink options were great (especially the slush) 4. Staff were extremely friendly! So this was really a perfect experience for my group and I. I will definitely not hesitate to reach out again to the Thompson Brewing family for future events!! This place is amazing!! We had the San Fran, the Pub Burger, the truffle fries and the jalapeño tater tots. Every single thing tasted great!! Homemade 1000 island on the San Fran and you could taste the quality. The Pub Burger was high-quality beef with a homemade aioli and pickled red onions that really complimented each other well. The truffle fries were legit! And the spicy jalapeño tots had a jalapeño cream sauce that was out of this world!! It's in a little strip mall that you would never even notice even though you might drive down the street every day. It's not a fancy establishment but the people are wonderfully nice, the craft beer has a wide range of flavors and the food is bonkers good! Just to highlight the beers a little, my wife and daughter do NOT drink beer BUT they both found ones that they truly enjoy! I even sampled a few that I never would've ordered and loved them, too. My favorite things about this place include but aren't limited to the fact that it is family owned and operated. They take pride in their place and products- and it shows. The fact they have a kids area- this little nook has a doll house train table and wall mounted gears and puzzles. Not to mention the board games, comics and lawn style games out on the large patio. They always have a deal available on Groupon! Tonight my husband and I had 2 beers EACH and chips with beer cheese for $23! We had some friends that introduced us to this place and it was delicious! We absolutely loved it and will be returning. The employees were so welcoming. They were very kind and their service was fast. We ordered our food, waited less than 15 minutes, and it was out and ready! The atmosphere is definitely a chill little place. You can choose to eat outside or inside. Outside is definitely a little vibe. They also have games that you are able to bring out if you are chilling with friends. While dining there, I noticed that a group reserved half of their outside area for a small intimate baby shower. I ordered the pretzel with cheese and was disappointed the pretzel didn't have salt, the cheese was good. My best friend got the loaded potato skins and had to pay 2.50 extra to add bacon. Prices are kinda steep. The hot mess sandwich was just ok, the sauce was too much maple and not enough chipotle and I feel that bacon slices would've been better. Service was horrible, took an hour an a half for Nachos with Velveeta cheese. The tables were dirty and no places to sit.

The service is friendly but the place is always dirty. The first time we went, we sat outside in the back and it was decent. When they brought our food out, I asked about the trash and the waitress was rude. She made a remark saying I needed to be an adult and clean up after myself. I wasn't asking her to clean for me, just where the trash goes when we are done. The food was delicious and drinks were a hit so we came back for a second try. This time we sat upstairs....BIG MISTAKE! There were only two tables occupied, which made it look super empty but all the tables had trash on them and were dirty. There were used napkins, torn up books/cards, tables were sticky from spilt drinks.... We were there for an hr and nobody ever walked up to clean anything. Sucks cus the food/drinks are great but the environment needs some attention. read more

The cream soda is made in house and is very tasty. The meat is tender and seasoned to perfection. The fried pickles were delicious and as well as the baked beans. The BBQ Pork Sandwich was my favorite. The brisket on the nachos was also delicious. My only complaint is that the nachos had too much BBQ sauce on them. The waffles are a 10/10. I had them for brunch and along with the brisket sandwich with grilled onions instead of raw. I left a happy camper! Sit outside in the back. They have plenty of tables with umbrellas. My dad got a beer that tasted like orange juice. It was super yummy. The maple chipotle chicken has a good kick to it fyi ... I preferred just the waffle. I've been to Thompsons about 3 times and each time I've visited, I've had great experiences. Staff are friendly, wide selections of beer and food is great. They have something for everyone. I like that they have multiple seating areas: the entry room, upstairs and the outside patio. Lots of space for groups! They also have games available to play! The last time I visited, they had an Oktoberfest beer which was really nice. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in the area! 10/10 read more

Amazing brewery and my new go to here in riverside (sorry to all the other guys!). First off beer is amazing. I am a stout girl and I loved the Russian stout. It's a little over 11% so I can only do 2 without becoming a fool but yes so smooth and delicious. Secondly the food. So this is a brewery and food should not be a priority...that being said while nothing is fancy it will for sure hit the spot! I've had blue cheese burger, jalapeño poppers (So freaking big!), the soft pretzel (also big) and loaded jalapeño spicy fries. The only negative I will say for the food is if the pretzels can come with a nacho cheese sauce.... Not knocking the business and their efforts but they do give you their version of homemade cheese sauce and it kinda tastes more like breakfast gravy ;p Games are everywhere and yes some are missing pieces due to all the people I imagine who have played them and possibly even not so sober people forgetting to put pieces back but that did not stop my crew from improvising and having more fun The atmosphere is kinda like "I'm here, have a beer, and kick back". No fancy decor, food, or foo foo drinks. Just a place to have fun. I counted 22 beers on the menu that they make--we tired 3 of the IPAs and the saison. Not great. How can they make anything good when they're spread out between 22 brews? My family and I went to Thompson Brewing Company for my birthday recently. The food was amazing, and so was the service. Most members of my party did not drink, but they ranted and raved about the food. Those of us who did drink were very happy with our choices. The ambiance was casual and comfortable. Considering this was the beginning of August and it was rather hot, it would have been nice to have some misters outdoors, but there were shaded areas, and the drinks helped to cool us down. I will definitely be going again once the weather cools. I later found out there was an upstairs area with arcades for the kids. This place is kid friendly. Worst experience ever. First time coming here, ordered at the table due to signs at each table stating this. After 30 min was told ordering at table service doesn't work. Re ordered the food and instead of having meal expedited waited another 30-40 in to receive food. Group behind us had the same issue however received their expedited order in 10 min or less. Very disappointing, tired to give benefit of the doubt but won't be returning. Response to owner. No refund was given as we understand mistakes happen. However to not have food expedited and to wait almost another hour is very disappointing. I will say I do believe the team might have been aware of the ordering at the table not working because as I mentioned after we found out, a group that came later was told the same thing. Passionfruit Pink Guave was amazing and SUPER easy to drink to the point it's dangerous. Their Nelson Galaxy Hazy DIPA wasn't to hoppy and had a great refreshing flavor. We were a party of 8 but when we did receive it, some of the food was really over cooked (chicken wings, hamburger) and they ran out of fries and substituted tasteless tater tots.
