We gave two rugs to Paul to clean, and when we got them back and unrolled them we felt (and he agreed) that there was something wrong and they weren't acceptable. Paul went to the furthest extent he could to make the situation right -- including taking the rugs back to be rinsed/dried and then bringing them back to our house along with his rug cleaner who did the work -- and he ended up with satisfied and pleased customers. I dropped off $450 worth of dry cleaning off there. I was leaving town for good and so I returned to pick them up. I told the owner that I would not be back and I would not be able to return so be sure I have all of it. He said I had everything and I paid for the dry cleaning. Afterwards I realized my some of my clothes were missing. THEY CALLED me and informed me that they had clothes of mine, and wondered when I could pick them up. At the time I was in Spain so my parents called explaining I wouldn't be back for a few month but to please hold them. When I finally returned, they could not fond my clothes. They said they would continue looking but they never called back. Not only did they loose my clothes but I also paid for the dry cleaning on them. These guys are miracle workers! I've been taking my dress shirts and suits to them for the last year or so and I've been very happy with their work, however I was really impressed with the most recent job they did for me. I don't know how but I had a jolly rancher completely melt in the inside pocket of one of my suit jackets. What a mess! This sticky nastiness was oozing all over the liner and even stuck the front of the jacket to the back of the jacket on the hanger. I took it in last week and told the owner that I had a challenge for him. He warned me that it might not come out but I said to go ahead and give it a try anyway. Hi- Wow I had a great experience today at Thompson Cleaners. This is my first time at the cleaners. We had an out of state guest visiting for a few days and yesterday my cat got into her suitcase and peed on her dry clean only silk skirt, you can imagine my horror when she found out. I had no idea what to do, so I called Thompson cleaners and Mr. Shin told me to bring it right in. I told him our guest was flying home in the morning and could he get the cat urine out of the skirt. Our cat had saturated the skirt- uggh. . I was so amazed when he called me this morning the next day and told me the skirt was ready to be picked up. I think he must be a miracle worker with dry cleaning, the skirt was like brand new, and how he got that awful cat urine out- I don't know, but I am so impressed and pleased and will highly recommend everyone go to Thompson. Especially if you have an animal urine accident, there is absolutely no cat urine odor at all left on this silk skirt :) Mr. Shin was kind and caring and also took the time to clean this skirt as a priority and also the prices were oh so reasonable. I have used this dry cleaner on a few occasions, once bringing my daughters wedding dress to them for cleaning. I wasn't sure they could get the champagne stain out of it, but it came out beautiful, and my daughter and I were so happy! Because they did a such great job on the wedding dress I thought I could trust them to clean one of my expensive Coach leather bags, well I cannot tell you how disappointed I was when I went to pick it up. It reeked so badly of chemicals that on the way home I had to roll the windows down to get the smell out of my car, I thought it would dissipate as time went on but it did not. When I went to my daughters house, after being there for a few minutes she said "what is that smell?!" I told her it was my purse, she said "mom, take it back and make them fix it, that smells horrible!" I took it back as she advised, but when picking it up again it smelled even worse! I was very upset and the lady working there smelled it and said "I smell nothing" It stinks so much of a chemical odor that I hung it up in the garage thinking it just needed to air out. It has been hanging in the garage and every time I open the door to the garage I can smell my beautiful stinking purse. I would advise anyone not to leave anything leather with them, I wish I had been warned, I would have never taken my bag to them! I need to start looking for a new bag now. Paul is FANTASTIC!! I took my favorite Betsy Johnson bag that accidentally got mildewed in my storage shed in to get fixed. We weren't optimistic. It's green and Paul didn't think he could keep the color and restore the bag. It took a week longer than anticipated because he still couldn't get it to lift. I assumed I ruined it... 1st & last, of most interest to those looking here, daughter's satin wedding gown with bead trim, gathered folds & train was perfectly cleaned & pressed, but the story is far greater! Paul Shin is our personal Hero from the catastrophic fire. My daughter was married Tuesday, October 17, in her glorious customized 2nd hand gown thanks to Paul, the owner of Thompson Cleaners. Despite his store being evacuated 2x, probably losing his Larkfield store, his own home burning down, fleeing with only the clothes on his back.....he delivered my daughter's dress cleaned, pressed, not smelling of smoke because he took it to Novato for safekeeping. He delivered it to me in a parking lot, in between the 2 store evacuations.The sad look on his & wife's faces made me cry. Her gown was lovely! She was ecstatic about getting the dress on time. She'd spent so much time choosing it, driving all over the Bay Area, & then adding her own design bodice & trim. Only to hear it was trapped by the fire! The bride & groom were also evacuated days before the wedding, packing bags both for wedding & maybe never seeing anything left behind again. They do, fortunately, have a home to return to in town of Sonoma. The wedding in Sea Ranch Chapel was lovely! A professional photographer had been hired & the photos would have been so different without her long train & flowing satin! Thank you so much! These guys went way above and beyond! During the fires was right around the time when our wedding was supposed to take place. My wife had taken her wedding dress here to have it pressed cleaned. This shop was evacuated during the fires, and the owner (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name) was conscientious enough to take her dress and store it off site, safe from the fires just in case. Thankfully the fires never got to his shop, but the fact that he did that was so unbelievably thoughtful, I can't even begin to express my gratitude. He even met up with us to deliver it in time for our wedding before he re opened his shop! All I can say is WOW!!! What other cleaners do you know that would go above and beyond like that?!? My cat and dog went berserk and two of my leather bags (purse, work soft sided bag) had to be cleaned of pee. They had both been soaked! Paul gave it a good try, and after a couple of weeks, i was SO HAPPY that they were 1-smelling great, 2-looking better than ever. Unbelieveable treatment of what I thought were ruined leather bags. Many years ago I had my wedding dress cleaned and sealed in a box. The dress had been quite expensive & if I had a daughter someday perhaps she would want to wear it on her wedding day. Over 30 years later when I open the box I noticed the gown had reddish stains on the bust line area and on the bottom trim. I didn't have red wine at my wedding so what could this be? I went to another dry cleaner and they told me that it was impossible to remove it because it was permanent marker.Then I went to THOMPSON CLEANERS and like whodini they were able to remove the permanent marker.
