I called a competitor, they explained that the tiny cracks (which he showed me on a magnification camera) are normal heat stress and there is nothing to worry about with my furnace. Back up and running for about $70 for other parts. Recently (years later) my mother in law called Baron to do a pre season inspection and startup. Guess what? Yep cracked heat exchanger. They run a good scam and If you must call them, get a second free opinion from a competitor to verify their overpriced scam diagnosis.

Talked to Mighty Mike's guy Ken at Canfield Home & Garden Show in Feb. 2025. Ken immediately had ideas of how they could add needed A/C venting and a Mitsubishi Heat Pump to solve our A/C needs.
