The view was pretty amazing, and most importantly we can monitor the line to the cruise so we know when to get going.  Overall, the experience was great with beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and delicious food. Unlike US Danish, it's thinner and less sweet. The nutty topping was delicious. The danish was on the drier side but still good. They also have sandwiches, salads, desserts and coffee. Great place to stop for a coffee/tea break after walking around down and have lunch.

Gayle's gobbled up choice didn't make it to our train (Via Canadian towards Vancouver), while I saved mine for coffee on board. My husband got the regular blt and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both got the side of potatoes and they were warm, crispy, and creamy all at once. We liked this place so much we even ordered online the next morning and picked it up on our way to Banff. The Waffle Hut, in addition to offering waffles, has coffee and on this day, four gelato choices. My choice was their Salted Caramel, and it really hit the spot. It was cold and flavorful, a little less smooth than I'm used to. It also came with a full sized flat wooden spoon instead of a little plastic thing, a plus for the environment. The Hut had some tables inside and more outside. This is an order at the counter place. The inside was predominantly wood, with a deer head on one side and a moose head on the other. At the time we didn't know that would be the only moose we would see on our trip. My wife went waffle, and got their The Alpine, a waffle with a salad on top. We really liked the crispy prosciutto and the white cheese balls.
