The restaurant had a diner feel and felt quite cozy. Our group ate twice here during our visit to Jasper. We had lunch here on our 2nd day since we were craving burgers and fries. The burgers were good but the fries were exceptional. One person in our group also had fish and chips and that was good too. One had brunch and ordered pancakes, and those were really good that we decided to go back for breakfast the next day. For brunch the next morning, we had the Lou Lou's Omelette and some waffles. Loulou's also serves pizzas, ranging from the basic to special pizza pies. My partner had the Loulou's breakfast, which includes two eggs, toast, potatoes, tomatoes and your choice of meats. I had the three-cheese omelette with potatoes and toast. Both dishes were very tasty and cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant almost looks like a 1950's dinner, and is super cool and very welcoming. Soft jazz music was playing while we were there, which made it relaxing as well. Service was excellent and spot on, very polite and professional. A must if you are in the area of downtown Jasper and even just passing through!! Four of us seated for lunch. There is lots of hustle and bustel to serve the walk-in customers for their take-away orders. The menu is huge. Pizza poutine, burgers and breakfast. We decided on the chicken panini. It's actually a chicken sandwich on toast. The burger with Portobello was a beautiful site. The fries were not very crispy. The greek salad was soggy and mistly iceburg lettuce. They don't have decaf coffee beans. The only tea is tumeric /ginger. The washrooms are not exactly friendly to those with mobility challenges. There is no room to use a wheelchair or a walker. The door is very heavy with a hydraulic closure. A person without much strength can't open it Our server was nice. But no apologies for my order coming out 5 minutes after the whole table was served. Sitting by the front door can get cold, crowded and loud. There is a TV showing sports. No sound. read more

After driving all morning from Edmonton, we were hungry upon arrival in Jasper. We were able to park for free on a neighborhood street nearby and walked along Patricia Street looking for lunch options. We encountered Loulou's just down the block and opted to eat there. You can park a bit closer on the street, but need to pay via an app. They were still optionally serving breakfast (after noon) but we both got sandwiches. I finished my BLT and my wife finished most of her chicken sandwich. I think she got a side salad; I got fries. Service was attentive. This place is definitely a good option for a meal during a stay in Jasper. read more

Ordered take out at Loulou's after going up the Jasper Skytram and walking to the summit so we were hungry. We called ahead and our food was ready in about 20 minutes. Ample parking is available along Patricia St and Loulou's was easy to find. We ordered the following: Greek salad, Hawaiian chicken pizza and poutine with bacon. Servings were quite big and price was reasonable. Hubby loved his pizza while I enjoyed the salad and poutine. Their Greek salad was tasty but it had too much vinaigrette for my liking, also the cheese was shredded cheese and not Feta. Ordered the poutine because of previous reviews here and it did not disappoint -- the gravy was flavourful (a bit salty though) and they did not scrimp on the bacon and cheese curds. Lou Lou's has been our go to place for breakfast in Jasper for years. It's a genuine no nonsense old style café. You get as much coffee as you want as long as you don't mine getting up and filling your own cup. Coffee quality is better than average but certainly not compatible to a coffee place. We both ordered the basic two eggs with potatoes and toast and choice of bacon, sausages or ham. My eggs were just right, the bacon was wonderfully crisp and they served real potatoes, not deep fried hashbrowns from a bag. There are many other choices for breakfast including many skillets, waffles, pancakes and even breakfast sandwiches. We sat at a comfortable booth and the noise remained at a comfortable 61 decibels which is perfect for normal conversation. Most booths seat up to six people and there are two larger tables by the front window for larger groups. We obviously like it here as we come here whenever we stay the night in Jasper. There is no table service but that's sometimes good because you don't have to wait for you coffee refills. If this sounds like your idea of a good breakfast place you'll be happy you came. read more

Once you've decided on your meal you go up to the counter, place it and pay. Self serve coffee and water. The food is pretty basic, I ordered the smoked salmon asparagus omelette with brown toast and potatoes. The omelette was good but the potatoes were terrible, greasy and some undercooked. We asked for dry toast and it came slathered with butter. If you're looking for somewhere to fill your belly this is fine. What a great little find for us during our Jasper trip! Kind of off the Main Street of restaurants but we needed a place that was open late and the reviews looked great. We got the fish and chips, the Shanghai noodles, the lasagna, roasted veggie salad, and poutine. Fish and chips were very fresh and crispy. Shanghai noodles super tasty! To begin let me say that I love the concept of breakfast and pizzeria. As soon as I saw the sign I wanted to go in. We had breakfast here and tried an omelette and bacon with eggs. Both came with nicely done toast and potatoes that were crispy on the outside and served with a generous amount of green onion. We also on a separate occasion tried the pizza, with some chicken fingers, poutine, and deep fried pickles. Everything was good. My wife and I arrived in Jasper in the afternoon and we were devilishly hungry. We had spoken about eating pizza earlier in the day and a local girl told us this was her favorite spot. Local recommendations are generally good so we went. When we walked in there weren't too many people inside, but we grabbed some menus and sat down. This place has a nice atmosphere even with only a few people. There are some seats inside and some seating outside. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It was pretty good even though the pepperoni was nothing like we expected. It was more like ham. The bathroom was clean too, which is always nice. I think this is a safe bet if you are in town. From first walking in here, the customer service was horrible. No Hello, no greeting at all just rude attitude and staring. I asked what size the pizza in the display was and he said "medium" in a very rude way and rolled his eyes. I got my food and left. Pancakes were thin and rubbery, took 2 bites and threw it all away. We enjoyed our breakfast at this diner. Actually ate her 3 times. Nothing fancy - just a good simple breakfast. You line up at the counter, place your order, get your cutlery and condiments, find a seat and get your meal when they call your number. Everything was tasty. Portions are a decent size. I also enjoyed the fact that the cost for two of us was about $10-15 less than at some of the other breakfast places we have visited. We would recommend it if you want a good, simple breakfast. I was just very confused with the dynamic of the place, we got in and the person at the cashier didn't greet us or say anything. Fantastic little diner to fill you up before and/or after your day's adventures. They serve a little bit of everything, from breakfast to burgers, pizza, pasta and even Chinese food. I was drawn to their breakfast options the most. After several minutes perusing the menu, the winners were the all meat skillet and the smoked salmon omelette. The skillet is a bit deceptive; it's really just a hot bowl on a plate. Inside the bowl, there's 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, chicken, roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms & potatoes. It's topped off with a mixture of melted cheese and comes with slices of brown toast. All the meats were juicy and flavorful. The veggies were crisp and fresh. The smoked salmon omelette was delicious. The salmon was buttery smooth and packed intense flavors without being fishy. Asparagus and Swiss cheese helps bind everything together. The omelette comes with a side of roasted potatoes (you can substitute fruit for an additional $2.50) and brown toast. Service is pretty much self serve. You place your order at the counter, find a table, wait for your number to be called, and then you go get your food, utensils and any condiments you need. The owners are friendly and nice, you get huge portions and everything is fresh and tasty. We came here for lunch after a long hike. My friend and I ordered the Greek Omelette which was awesome. It was filled with veggies and the toast was thoroughly buttered which made it extra tasty! My other 2 friends ordered a skillet which she devoured and pizza. There was only one option available for pizza by the slice, which my friend described as "okay but good for eating after a 8 mile hike." I went in first thing they open at 9am they have staff on hand starting at 7am getting everything ready. Very clean very professional. A sit down food court/ dinner style restaurant. Amazing pizza: I have tried the BBQ chicken w/ pineapple at many a place and this is THE BEST. However, the BBQ sauce is really strong: too strong for me. I also really, really love the poutine here: amazing gravy and awesome cheese curds. Again, I prefer crinkle chips but the homemade chips here were quite good.
