I initially saw her when dealing with Frozen Shoulder, having been referred first to a big box PT practitioner who gave me a band and strengthening exercises, making my shoulder worse. What I needed, and what Carter knew, is that my shoulder needed stretching, not strengthening. I stayed the course of being stretched by Carter in her office and stretching on my own at home with the exercises she sent home with me and gradually got better. Each new level of recovery was met expertly with new stretches and I regained the use of my shoulder joint and arm. It was a no brainer who I would see when I was involved in a rear end collision nearly 2 years ago as well as with the 2 times I have been hit since. Carter's treatments are full range from hands on stretching to the use of props as well as applied heat or ice and TENS-unit stimulation and craniosacral work. When some stretch doesn't help, Carter keeps trying until we find one that does. Carter is patient, firm, empathetic and friendly. Her knowledge of anatomy is vast. I feel lucky to be in her care and recommend her without hesitation.

I…read morewanted to relieve a near incapacitating muscle spasm in my back and make sure I wasn't aggravating the problem with my regular workout. Ryan Downing was my provider and I only worked with him. That made progress much easier than seeing multiple providers. We were always on the same page. Ryan reviewed my regular routines and provided supplemental activities to directly address my complaint. I added suggested exercises to my regular routines and I have not experienced a muscle spasm since.

Angie took care of the showers and other tasks. Great employees they should all get a raise. This is not just my opinion I've spoken with half dozen of the patients and we all agree. The activities ladies both are great as well. Healthcare is a difficult job just watching what they go through on daily basis is not easy so I get finding great staff is hard. The reason the score is so low: Food is 1 star at best Prescription refills 2 stars at best(usually a day or two without medication) this happened to me 4 out 5 times. Common complaint amongst patients as well. -Keeping patients that disrupt everyone staff a d patients at all hours screaming racial slurs, even witnessed a nurses aid being punched by a patient that should be in a more appropriate facility that is better prepared to handle the more emotional trouble patients. It made many of the patients uncomfortable after they let the abusive patient stay in the facility. One month later he threatened to punch a female employee infront of half dozen patients.i understand that each patient is a good amount of money for the facility but a lawsuit could really counter any profits by allowing such behavior to continue. -Avalon Management needs to reed the documents everyone signs when they arrive and follow them for the safety of the staff and the patients. This would eliminate the above issue and would in return have better reviews, happier staff (better quality staff as well) and happier patients. Just wanted to give my honest opinion of what I witnessed recently. There are better options available so don't settle for a place like this if what I wrote would bother you.
