I asked for a classic Old Fashioned and he brought me something that tasted like watered-down whiskey with too much bitters and a random orange slice thrown in. My friend's whiskey sour was unbalanced -- definitely not worth the $18 price tag. I politely mentioned to recommend us another drinks options he just shrugged and said "we don't have that" Not offer another choice or an apology. The drinks were mediocre at best, but his attitude made it worse. He ignored us most of the night and acted annoyed every time we ordered. Zero professionalism. The place has a great vibe but with service like this, is not worth to spend almost $200 dollars there for few drinks. I don't remember his name but he was tall, Latin and maybe from Colombia. Anywho, once I parked, the manager Judd was so friendly and kind and directed me to the table where my friend was seated. He overheard that I was kind of speaking loud over the music when I barely had a voice due to losing it from another event, so he kindly turned down the music for us. Once there, service was quick and attentive. I got a Fresh Paloma for my drink and the Seared Salmon for dinner. The drink was a good size and tasted good, no complaints there. As for the dinner, WOW. This was delicious, I would get this again. The flavors were there and the portions were just perfect (not too much and not too little, I usually never get enough or leave with leftovers). Also, not overpriced for Miami in my opinion. My own birthday was celebrated there on karaoke night, and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights. We also celebrated my niece's graduation on karaoke night, and it was another incredible evening filled with friends, family, laughter, and great memories. Seeing an employee post something so negative about an event that so many of us genuinely enjoy is disappointing. From the outside looking in, it seems like there's been a big shift in whoever is running these events. I recently attended both karaoke night and ladies' night, and the atmosphere was completely different from what many of us have come to love. FYI, karaoke night *brings people together*. I can't think of a single time we've gone and not had a great night. That's why this post doesn't reflect what 9 Feet Under has always represented to so many of us. If you work there and karaoke night is that terrible *for you*, maybe it's worth asking yourself why that is. Or perhaps this isn't the right environment for you. But please don't portray an event that has created so many positive memories for so many people as something negative, because that's simply not the experience the rest of us have had. The Biltmore Bar has an elegant old Hollywood ambiance decorated with immaculate gold and brass decorative light fixtures, decor pieces, furniture and finishes that are unique to the one of a kind luxury that encapsulates the Biltmore. The service was exactly what you'd expect the Biltmore to be, exceptional! The bartender prepared exceptional Cocktails, both stiff and beautiful to sip on. Beyond the seltzers, the board leans on a rotating lineup of lagers, IPAs, and amber drafts, with a heavy presence from Prison Pals, a local contract-brewery. Half the to-go cans also come from Prison Pals, and the staff, management, and menu carry a strong Argentinian identity. At this point, Unseen Creatures feels less like a wild-ale temple and more like the spiritual revival of the old Prison Pals operation in Doral. My first visit started with an Uber Eats BOGO order, but only half the meal was ready. Rather than hover like rabid raccoons, we grabbed beers and waited. Then the moral crisis arrived: let the perfectly smashed burgers cool, or eat them while at their best. Five minutes passed, and we chose the latter. That decision sent the manager into referee mode. Had he carried a whistle, he would have blown it. Had he kept cards in his pocket, he'd have flashed us a pair of reds. Apparently, the smashburger BOGO applied outside but not inside. Fair enough, but if the fries had come out on time, we never would have spent money at the bar in the first place...
