Loved ending our day at the 3 Bear Lodge Lounge with Isaac our favorite bartender who makes the best Huckleberry Martinis.

Visited West Yellowstone for a snowmobile trip & stayed at the 3 Bear Lodge. What a wonderful time we had. We stayed in the motel section, rooms were clean pillows & mattress so comfy after a day of snowmobiling. So quiet to get a good night sleep. Snowmobile rentals right outside our doors. Our guide was Chris we were so impressed with him on our 1st guided day that we requested him for our 2nd day. Personable & so knowledgeable about the history surrounding Yellowstone. Tom helped us out the day we were on our own with mapping out directions for various trails. We had breakfast every morning at the restaurant which was literally right across from the rooms where we were staying. Good selection of breakfast items. Waitstaff all very friendly & work very hard. We did not rent a car & opted instead for transportation from Bizeman Airport. We basically could walk every where we wanted to in town. Grocery store close by that also sold beer & wine. On the few down days we had we spent at the Grizzly & Wolf Sanctuary it was amazing & within walking distance of the lodge.

Friendly staff and clean rooms.. we went during low season.. only room left for 2 was a room for 6 people in the lodge..worked out well as I got my man cave..no daily room service due to Covid but we were able to swap out towels.. restaurant is close by and good food.. hostess at restaurant were a bit terse but waiter/ waitress were cool.... was able to borrow bear spray while I was hiking..only bummer is limited laundry however laundromat is close by.. will return in future

It has one of the best lobbies in town I like all the wood and taxidermy the best part is it's connected to one of the best restaurants plus you get a voucher to eat breakfast there. I stayed in the lodge but also you can stay in the motel part . The lodge is also close to everything and a Mike from the park entrance. Great location

Very cute part of the kitschy but fun West Yellowstone. Clean and spacious rooms. Standard hotel amenities with a private entrance.

The room was spacious, having a side table for us to spread out. Beds were very comfortable. The restaurant where the breakfast was served was a cozy room with a nice Western vibe. Good country music played in the background. Breakfast was your basic kind of hotel food-I did like the variety of cold items like the yogurt selection and the cereal selection. The lobby served coffee, hot apple cider, and hot cocoa with marshmallows which was nice after our long tour of Yellowstone National Park. The lobby of the hotel was nicely decorated for the Fall with a beautiful Fall themed Christmas Tree. The pool and hot tub were nice and spacious and they had a water slide which was fast, but fun. A plus was it was located in the end of town so it was nice and quiet. Quick 5-7 minute walk to the center of town. Only minor dislikes were the shower where there were no grab bars and that the TV didn't work so well. Someone came in to fix it though. The tub also clogged with water during showers. Would recommend! Thank you for a great stay!

Our room had two king beds and was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast each morning had plenty of choices and the food was very tasty. All in all I would recommend the BWDI as a base while visiting beautiful Yellowstone. I also have to give a big shoutout to the Hotel Manager who kindly made the effort to ship back to my home a backpack that I carelessly left in the lobby during checkout.

Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone - Management was useless, absolutely lied, and unprofessional. Our cleaning service NEVER came during our stay.

The cabins were comfortable in size, extremely clean, and very well set up for a Yellowstone trip. The kitchenette was especially useful for us, and having a dishwasher was a great bonus. The location really could not be beat -- it was very close to the West Yellowstone entrance, which helped us avoid a lot of traffic and made it easy to structure our days in the park. We were able to see the upper part of Yellowstone one day, the lower part another day, and then use the rest of our time to revisit and explore the places we wanted to see more deeply. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful, which added to the overall experience. Another nice touch was the fire pits, which they turned on around 5 p.m. each evening. It was a fun and relaxed way to meet some of the other people staying at the cabins. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Comfortable cabins, a great location, friendly staff, and a really enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Explorer Cabins ended up being an excellent home base for our family's five-night Yellowstone trip…read more While they aren't luxury cabins and won't be mistaken for a boutique mountain resort, they do a remarkable job of balancing privacy, convenience, and access to amenities in a way that works particularly well for families. The biggest surprise for us was how intimate the property feels. Although the cabins are nestled between two hotels, thoughtful landscaping, mature pines, and the positioning of the cabins along small side streets create an atmosphere that feels much closer to being inside Yellowstone than staying in a traditional roadside hotel. Most cabin clusters consist of only a handful of units and feature shared hammocks and a communal fire pit, which made for pleasant evenings after long days exploring the park. The cabins themselves are comfortable and functional. They aren't outfitted with particularly premium finishes, nor are they especially modern, but they are well laid out and seem designed with practicality in mind. Housekeeping arrived fairly early during our stay, but we never found it intrusive. Small touches such as complimentary bottled water in the cabin, s'mores packages available for purchase, and fresh cookies at the nearby Gray Wolf Inn front desk in the early evening add a bit of fun to the experience. One of the more underrated benefits is access to the amenities at the neighboring Gray Wolf Inn & Suites. Explorer Cabin guests can use the indoor pool and laundry facilities, allowing you to enjoy some traditional hotel conveniences while maintaining the feel of staying in a small cabin community. Location is another major strength if you are staying in West Yellowstone (you still cannot beat inside Yellowstone itself for easy access). Parking was plentiful both in designated lots and along the streets within the property, and once parked, we found ourselves walking almost everywhere. McDonald's is less than a two-minute walk away, while Book Peddler, West Yellowstone Brewing, Mountain Mama's Coffee, Wild West Pizzeria, and the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center are all within an easy five-minute stroll. For those entering Yellowstone early in the morning, the cabin location also provides a modest advantage by allowing a relatively easy right turn toward the West Entrance, avoiding some of the traffic that can build coming into town from the highway on busy summer days. Final Thoughts: Explorer Cabins may not offer the luxury finishes of a high-end mountain lodge, but they succeed at something arguably more important for many Yellowstone visitors: creating a comfortable, family-friendly base camp that feels a little more immersive and a little less commercial than many lodging options in West Yellowstone. We'd happily stay here again and would especially recommend them to families looking for a balance of privacy, amenities, walkability, and easy park access. -AC

We had one outside bed in lower living room and needed an extra bed for my son. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with a small foldable foam bed. We had plenty of room for everyone. Of the 8 bedrooms, 6 have king size beds, and two of them have private full baths. There are 3 additional full baths for the others. The cabin itself is pretty new, so everything was clean and in working order. The location is very close to the west entrance to the park, and is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. The kitchen had plenty of plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc. I was especially impressed with the quality of the pots and pans, very nice for a rental. The cabin also has a full sized washer and dryer, which was very convenient. The WIFI was available, but I have to say it is not very fast. Considering the location, this was not too surprising. There were no problems with billing, or unexpected charges. Overall a great choice for a large party, I highly recommend this location!
