Threatened with Criminal Tress-pass if we didn't leave, after showing both Guides proof my Wife owed $0.00..... My Wonderful Wife purchased this hunting trip for me and two of my friends as a Christmas Present What was supposed to be a fun-filled two-night "Thermal Hog Hunt" turned into an ego filled nightmare from Travis "we run this Hunt" and Steven A.K.A. '"Sheriff Aint Happening" Both Steven (Running for Sheriff) and Travis are the worst "Hog Hunting Guides" on Planet Earth (Waxahachie) . To start I was told during a safety briefly that I had to take my Backpack which contained my water flask off for without explanation (Overly Authoritative Guides). Second, Steven's driving habits and safety are highly questionable. We nearly ran off the road numerous times in search of Hogs driving up and down the highway Pirate-Style (One hand on the wheel, body half out the car). He was on his phone running off the road as well on the highways. Around 9:00pm I mentioned that I needed to go back to the lodge and was told "that ain't happening" (Again overly authoritative guides). I came up with a medical reason as an excuse and we stopped by a few more spots on the way to the lodge. I was going to call it a night as I was tired of both of these two clowns. The rest of my party used to restroom and the Two guides let themselves in the lodge and made in a point to stop the hunt and mention that we didn't pay the rest of the deposit, even though I showed them receipts that we did. What could have been a simple situation turned into a heated altercation verbally which I tried unsuccessful to deescalate. Both Guides were overly combative and had extremely poor bedside mannerisms to boot regarding not getting paid. I told them now is now the time to stop the hunt, this is a billing dispute, let's continue the hunt and we will sort it all out tomorrow. Another very bothersome fact was that both guides wanted to stop the hunt 4 hours early for some reason even before any argument ensued. The hunts are supposed to last 6 (six) hours, we were only going to hunt for 4. 7-pm - 11pm. When it should have been later in the evening like 9-10, form what I understood to 3am. After negotiations failed: They refused to leave our Lodging accommodations and stopped the Hunt. Refused to wait until tomorrow to resolve it and lied about the Hunt ending at 11pm when it was supposed to end at 3am. After telling both unprofessional employees to leave numerous times I called the police feeling like this situation was out of control and could end poorly especially if they decided to kick us off the property . Both Guides lied to their boss and the Police who showed up and threaten us with Jail for Criminal Tress-Pass when I was trying to deescalate the problem without incident, and I am the one who called for help.. Unfortunately the staff took it upon themselves to lie about the whole thing and have the lead guide "Brent or Brad" tell police to kick us off. No one tried to resolve the issue properly, nor did the police act properly either. Very last time I call 911 for anything! Photo proves we paid. read more

This is the second adventure we booked with Three Curl Outfitters, and it was even better than the first. The accommodations were top notch, and the guide was spot on. If you are a sportsperson, this group should be on your must-try-em list. Barely an hour from DFW, they are worth every nickel. read more

I picked the location - Main Street Grapevine, and we talked through the size of the group and my concerns. The biggest being store owners not appreciating a group in their stores during prime shopping season. Logan assured me that his team calls ahead, works with the stores that are willing and incorporates tons of outside fun. Ideally this would have been played in teams who competed, but my gang all wanted to work together so Logan suggest a wager for the girls - complete x number of tasks on the scavenger hunt, and we stop for coffee on the way home! They loved it and got right to work. Attached are a few pictures from their favorite ones! The property is luscious with trees and a creek. They also have bee hives you can observe (from a safe distance). The blueberry popsicles are amazing. Restrooms are porta-potties with a hand washing pump sink, so come prepared with your little tot oxo car potty if you're like me and would rather take littles to the car to potty. The owner, Jill, is such a gracious host. She is delightful and enjoys meeting everyone! We got my Dad a block of blueberry fudge, and he said it was the best fudge he has ever eaten (which is saying a lot!!!) This is our new "happy place" for a Fall and Spring excursion to enjoy the seasonal delights of pumpkins and blueberries!!

Parking was $19 per day just to park in the lot. Waterpark is open from 10 am - 8pm Magic Quest is open til 11pm With several other fun options located on the first floor. Downloading their app allows you to get updates on upcoming events but not much else. Communication was provided via text and there are attendants on each floor willing to answer any question you may have. Our room was clean and there were plenty of towels available. The waterpark was fun with a spacious kids area and a giant dump bucket. Lastly the restaurant on the 3rd floor had delicious food and friendly service. My family and I had a great visit and look forward to returning soon.

This year was the last year of the HUNT AS WE KNOW IT, though, so I had to take part - there was no waiting one more year. And BOY am I glad I did! I am on a team with five of my personal loved ones PLUS 10 random strangers (who had two smaller teams of their own). So far we have had team members who didn't know each other collaborate, team members who DO know each other collaborate, and we've had a whole lot of love passed on to each person who completes a task. It's been fun imagining, re-imagining, puzzling out details, and - most of all - fundraising for a GREAT CAUSE! I've donated goods to a homeless shelter (socks and food), created art (I always protest I'm not a creative, so the art creation I took on was not only a big deal in that sense; but it was also time consuming and FUN), socialized quite a bit via Twitter (I haven't used Twitter much in the last few years, and I reconnected with a few great friends!), discovered I enjoy collaborating on things (I custom-designed my job so I wouldn't have to work with anyone), brought my nephew into the fun (dress-up for political protest-HAH!), and I plan to possibly do a small protest, travel to a location I'm enthusiastic about so I can take a photo of something, and do more art - including an abstract piece. I am so impressed with how well this is managed, and I cannot imagine what an undertaking it must be for the GISHWHES staff members. I am incredibly thankful for their hard work and dedication, their humorous ideals, and their wittiness. My life has been made better by GISHWHES, even though life did indeed get in the way and i have been unable to participate the last two days. I hope to get a whole lot of tasks done tomorrow and the next though, and with any luck we'll turn in a majority to completion! This is the last year of GISHWHES in its current form; however, if it continues on, I highly recommend becoming a part of the madness!

I have been at the pool the last 3 weekends (4 Xs total) this Summer and it is truly 5 stars! The check in is super easy. I paid $5 each time (a discount for C.Hill) residents as well as your guest. They do take cash or card which is convenient. The line is never long, really non existent most of the time. Parking is a breeze especially if you get there for open swim which begins at 12 noon. The majority of the lounge chairs are shaded and you don't have to worry about anyone taking/moving your belongings as you enjoy the water. The lazy river is extremely clean and well kept and the floaties are in abundance and FREE! Everyone is respectful in the pool! At any given time there can be newborn babies to the seniors and every age in between so being courteous is just as important as having fun! The music is great too! They play EVERYTHING including Spanish songs on Cedar Hill Tunes. There is one lazy river, one slide which is so much fun and never a long line, as well as a larger pool that is wheelchair assessable too. It was in this pool that my BF taught me to swim this Summer so the Cedar Hill Lagoon will forever be memorable to me! They also have about 7 cabanas that you can rent out for your private event. The bathrooms have great air flow and are pretty well kept with no trash on the ground an I definitely appreciated the cleanliness. They also have showers too. The lifeguards are also professional and they appear to have fun too. There is food available if you get hungry. A CH police officer does make his/her round at the pool too so it definitely makes you feel safe an at ease. I hope the Lagoon continues to be a fun, clean, memorable place for my future summers!

(I even asked if I could borrow a broom to sweep them, there was multiple people working and appeared to just be standing around on their phones.) that makes the put put less fun because your ball is bouncing off sticks and plant debris.

They showed me the key highlights of the park on the map. Then I shopped their merchandise in the park store. The trails were very well maintained and laid out. Each path was clearly visible so as not to get lost or off the marked walkway. I even spent some time in one of the day use areas to read this month's issue of Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.
