Great neighborhood bar in the highlands. Many groups and many walk ups good for all ages it does get louder and younger as the night gets longer. They expanded a couple of years ago so for those of us who like to find a seat and eat at a big bar with elbow room it's here. Televisions and wide screens throughout but all older technology and they are getting a little long in the tooth and fuzzy. One of my favorites is the Smoked buffalo wings and a cold beer and any game on. read more

I like that Three Dogs has a lot of space and plenty of tables/TVs, as well as some fun bar games. I've had decent food here, in particular the ahi burger and grilled cheese which are both good. But the service is almost always awful. I get better service from the guys behind the bar than the people who are actually supposed to be serving our table. I've been served the mac and cheese totally cold with unmelted cheese, and been overcharged for drinks. There always seems to be an issue with the tab here. Also, after coming here a handful of times, I have pretty much exhausted everything on the menu...the selection is not amazing. I'll give the bartenders here 4 stars though because they are always friendly and step in to serve food when needed. Not sure why the rest of the staff can't keep up... read more

Such a cute neighborhood pub that we've enjoyed for years & years. Unfortunately the food has hit a low. We met with 3 other neighorhood couples there for an early evening drink on new year's eve, beside our group there were about 12 people in the place. Took ages to get drinks after our initial round and we waited and waited to finally get the appetizers ordered. Everything tasted blah & like it had gone directly from the freezer into the fryer or microwave, sat under the heat lamps for a while & was then delivered to the table. Kind of sad. I don't know how to review this place without noting our server was somewhere between upper-earth and Mars tonight. Hard to say whether she was high or drunk or something else. But she couldn't remember if we'd ordered and when we did... The bills were a mess. Notta word came without a slur. I wasn't upset. But it was a little odd for a paid service. Great place to relax with a beer and some shuffleboard, but the food is pretty awful. I'm not sure how they mess up such simple bar food. Quesadilla was soggy, mac n cheese was bland and dry and burger was meh. I really wish this place would overhaul the menu and get some new cooks. If they did I would be in here more often. read more

At one point, maybe five years ago, this was such a great neighborhood bar. It was small then; they doubled the size when they bought an adjacent pet store, and somehow the douche factor tripled. This tavern has been a local neighborhood spot for years for a reason. They do what they do well and have even managed to improve their food menu over the years. BK, the bar manager, is awesome. Always a smile on his face and happy to see you. And you can't beat all the cute pics of all the different pups covering the walls. If you're not in the mood to just sit and drink at the bar or at a table while watching a game on the big screen, they have several game options to choose from with my favorite being shuffle board. I used to think this place was the tops, then it went downhill all of a sudden. the food IS overpriced, but it has never really disappointed me. i love wings but theirs aren't amazing. the bartenders are usually great, but the clientele a different story. i want to bring a baseball bat with me when i go here to shut up the loud-mouthed freaks that frequent this joint. that may be a little harsh, but do they have to talk so loudly while they play pool?!?! kudos to 3 dogs for the adorable pics of mutts, golden tee AND big buck hunter though!!! read more

Not bad, not great. Nice enough building and bar. The bloody mary's need some work and there did not seem to be any vodka. Ordered a second shot for it and it was a little less than half the shot glass. Looked like a 3 oz glass, so about 1oz. pretty weak. Had to wait for that, even. If I lived in the neighborhood, I might stop in every now and then. Not worth a trip. read more

Love this bar and always a go to for a few years now! I've always had great service until the last TWO times. One server is very cold and abrupt. We wanted to stay and keep drinking, but our server did not check in with us for over 30 minutes. So we decided to leave and it took another 15 minutes to get the bill which we had to belly up to the bar to obtain. The server had attitude and was borderline mean. Made a huge difference in the overall feel of the place. Decent beer prices. If we go back it is because it is so close. Food is mediocre. read more

I traveled all the way from Texas to visit Denver for the super bowl. We were lucky enough to get a table but then was denied a drink because I have a verticals ID (though I am almost 23). Nice old school hardwood pub. John's a great man behind the bar. My favorite is the thai wrap, but all of the food is good.

I'd say the 3 star average this place has is pretty fair. I went for Happy Hour on a Monday night, so it was pretty dead (though by the time I left the bar had at least filled up). The atmosphere is just okay and the food is just okay. The bartender was actually really friendly and attentive despite being the only employee I actually ever saw. Overall I wasn't super impressed or super put off either. At least they have a good selection of Great Divide on tap! read more

The rueben sandwich was awesome. The chicken sandwich is also amazing. The spicy waffle fries are not spicy but a good side. The Philly cheese steak was a bit dry and unexciting. I was a Regis pharmacy student and after exams, this was the place to go when we all wanted to de-stress with a couple of beers and yummy fried deliciousness. I personally love their potato wedges (even though the last time I went in April they weren't serving them anymore :() -- the beer battered onion rings were very super oily but isn't that what makes them extra good? Very laid back atmosphere with games such as shuffleboard, skeeball, and some digital hunting game. The service is also amazing. Come enough times and they will remember your name. I've gotten several free diet cokes for being the designated driver. :) I love this place. For sure one of my favorite Denver hangouts that I will miss dearly. read more

This is a great dive bar - if that's what you're looking for. They always draw a big crowd for football as they have tons of tvs everywhere. Also fun to play pool here. All the servers/bartenders are very friendly. Fairly decent food too. read more

3 Dogs is a good place for groups to meet for Happy Hour...but only because it's easy to find seating. The food is so-so, as is the service. The jukebox takes your money but doesn't play your songs. But the puppy pictures on the walls are cute, at least. read more

Lively joint with a quality kitchen, great beers & fun games. First off - smoked wings - yes! They know what they're doing when it's time to zap a batch of nicely-smoked wings in the fryer & sauce 'em up. It's tricky to get the sauce to cling, but these are consistently on the money! More great offerings on the pubfare menu, plus wallet-pleasing specials on Mon (good burgers) & Tue (buffalo chicken sandwich - oh boy!). Skeeball & table shuffleboard are some unique distractions, seems like there's always some group that's into it. Big on bigscreens, great place to watch sports. This bar is one of my favorite hang out spots in town. Its good for just about anything, be it for having a casual beer or a big party. Having a pool table and shuffle board makes it a lot more entertaining as well. In my opinion, service has always been great for me and my friends who have been dubbed, "The Regis Crew." There is always a good number of great beers on draft and they have a pretty awesome menu. Not to mention they now use actual plates! So far, I've never had a disappointing experience there, and I highly doubt I will. =D read more

Went here the other night for dinner and drinks. Nice casual bar, had lots of TVs with all the games on. We got a veggie burger with sweet potato waffle fries and the mastiff burger (fried egg, lettuce, tomato). Overall, really solid food for a bar and it came out quickly. I don't know why I come here anymore. I've been coming here about 1-2 a year for the past 5 years and it gets worse and worse every time. I have only continued to go because I live a few blocks away, and I want to like the neighborhood bar. The service is always horribly slow, and guests at the bar clearly have priority over people sitting down for food. The menu also gets smaller and smaller every time I'm there. I just left the restaurant. It took about 30 minutes of sitting down before the waiter finally came to my table to greet us and take our drink orders (I only didn't go up to the bar because I was having a conversation with my friend). Then it took another 20 minutes to get the waters we ordered, and then it took another 25-30 minutes to get refills. This happens EVERY time I'm here. You only seem to get acceptable service if you are sitting at the bar, and even then, it still takes a while to get noticed by any of the staff. I think tonight is the last time I will ever go here. It's clearly not going to get any better, which is a shame because it's in a good location. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the food came out in a reasonable time and it tasted/looked fine. read more
