Chilled spot. Hole in the wall. Great service. We Had an old fashion and mud slide. Drinks are reasonably priced. Would definitely go back. Thanks Johnny!

I'm very excited for Shane (one of the co owners) tomorrow is the grand opening of the crow bar - I will be here to see what's good- Last nights grand opening was a great turn out- A ton of people crowded up this lil dive, I didn't take any pics, but trust me we showed up at 9:30-10:00 and had to stand for a few before friendly drinkers offered me a seat- Had a good chat with my native friends from the neighborhood and enjoyed sharing the memories of the north Denver dive that has been going through all the changes of owners in the past 3 years and supporting this last of the neighborhood dives - Salute to all of us Denverites for staying and embracing the changes of establishments and new comer's -

So in honor of my spankin' new Yelp Elite badge Sean needed a Lone Star. This a damn fine Great local bar that's probably not as dive-y as I like em' these days. Crow on a Wednesday evening after work is a great spot to hang out for a few drinks, play some bar games, and not pay too much for beer. Lots of accumulated paraphernalia lining the walls. Decidedly not trendy. Which I dig.

Does not seem as much has changed from Nip & Sip. + Friendly bartender. + $2.50 draft beer special (14-16 oz) Same look. There is a new mural on the north wall (outside).

Shot and a beer CDN$8. Good deal

While we ended up getting different drinks, I have no doubt the espresso martini is yummy. My husband went for the Old Fashioned and I opted for As the Crow Flies - both were very tasty. Not cheap though - about $14 a pop. They had a wide beer selection and a few NA options, which I'm looking forward to trying as they sounded good. The bartender was friendly and skilled. We ended up sitting inside because it was a bit too hot for us, but others were on the patio and it did have ample seating and shade; will likely be lovely in a few weeks. The decor inside was clean with comfortable seating and a variety of bar seats and low tables. They also had virtual golf - an interesting mix. My one complaint is the amount of televisions. It had the amount I'd expect at a sports bar but way above sports bar prices. They could get away with removing 1-2 and still catering to the same crowd while appealing to those (like me) who don't want to have to sit in a corner and strategically place the chairs just to not have to look at a screen.

Their menu lets you know that they worked hard on your drink yesterday because they use technology that requires planning and uses custom refrigeration to serve cocktails at a perfect temperature and create dilution levels so they can do cool things to give you a balanced cocktail in a "matter of seconds." Always adventurous, I tried their Sour Cream & Onion Martini. Our server advised that I try a small sip first. I loved it. I can see why it would not be for everyone. The flavor notes were strong and intense but true to the name, so much so that it was like drinking a bag of Lay's Sour Cream & Onion potato chips. Yum! My next adventure for my palate was from the sour section, The Cherry Sour. Full of carbonated foam when first served, this cocktail was a nice and refreshing balance. Sure you should. So I had the time to drive 20+ minutes from work to get to the northside to try out the Little Wolf's burger bar located inside the establishment and called the "Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." (Don't ask me why.) I made the drive mainly because I'd asked AI where some of the best burgers were in Denver area and one of the answers (when I asked for "quality ingredients") was "Little Wolf/Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." Made the drive for the Durango-sourced Colorado Wagyu beef/cheese burger that cost just a bit more than $10 a pop. Rating right up at almost a perfect 5 stars, the drive was worth it. And what made it so great? Not just the burger, but because as soon as I walked in the proprietor's first words were, "Want an ice cream cone on us?" While I thought it must have been because of my stylish aplomb and in-command presence . . . turns out everyone gets the same offer. (What a great marketing idea:). Took my burger, which by the way, tasted great, but of course ate my soft ice cream teaser cone first. Turned out to be a fine idea. End result? When you're looking for a great place for a blue-collar burger at an extremely reasonable price be sure to make the drive to the northside to give Little Wolf's a bite.
