We walked right in and they had us seat ourselves. We were there on a weekday and it seemed like mostly locals...and it was full, which is a great sign, The food was hot, the portions were hearty and a to-go box was needed at the end. I had an omelette and my husband had the breakfast burrito. It has a "community-family" vibe. Lots of chatter and laughing at all the tables. A tell-tell sign of people enjoying themselves.

Comfortable, laid back, but not cozy. Three forks cafe is a better than average small town diner that caters to locals and tourists. It's easy to tell the difference and the employees act accordingly. With locals regaling each other about the weather, their livestock and hunting expeditions, day-off antics, there's no shortage of entertainment, the kind that makes you put down your phone and enjoy. The food is good in a diner sort of way, filling and served quickly. Nothing strays too far from expectations, except, perhaps for the "entertainment" provided by the banter between the locals and the staff. If listening to that isn't for you, spend some time looking at the decor. It's a history lesson: sometimes tongue-in-cheek and often times a mini museum of your grandparent's treasures. Three Forks cafe is more of a been-there done-that spot for tourists. But, don't discount that feeding tourists seems a side gig for this community gathering location for the locals. Enjoy it for what it is.

Good food, great service, and cozy restaurant First off I want to start by saying I had a really good waitress she was friendly and had great customer service skills. You can tell she was an expert waitress by the way she spoke with some of the other customers in the restaurant. The restaurant had a lot of old timers sitting down at tables that seemed like regulars that come in a lot and the waitress knew their names and what they already wanted to order which I find to be a great sign of a good waitress. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries which I really enjoyed. For dessert I had apple pie and a scoop of ice cream which I also enjoyed. It was my first time coming to this restaurant and the next time I am in the area I can see myself definitely coming back.

The food and service here were both good. Not amazing, but good enough for us to come back. It's a cute, tiny little hole-in-the-wall type of place that is worth a visit.

We wouldn't make a special trip to eat there but we had a nice lunch there while visiting the state park. Good local place for a quick bite!

Great place to eat! Good food at a fair price. The portions could be a little bigger. Friendly staff too.

Food: I ordered the cattleman's burger which came with bacon, cheese, bbq sauce and fries...I added the lettuce & onion.; it was phenomenal ! It was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy, yet not over cooked. And the bacon was PERFECT! If you're not into a messy burger, leave the sauce off. Service: we were seated very quickly (perhaps 5:15/5:30 on a Friday night) , and the waitress came over to take our drink orders within two minutes; she returned with the drinks and took the food order within five minutes. The food was brought out by another person within fifteen-twenty minutes. The waitress returned to check on us after several bites, and again when my glass was nearing empty and brought me a refill shortly. However, she never asked the second person about a refill and we had been finished eating for at least fifteen minutes when she returned the next time and asked us about dessert & the check. I find this disappointing anytime it happens, especially when they are not that busy. Ambience: the place looks like its name, an old time saloon, yet modernized. It wasn't noisy, and the tables were far enough apart we could not hear the next tables conversation.

Bartenders were nice when they were around, it was busy at first around 7. But wasn't busy 30 mins later yet still barely saw them. Food was just bad. Patty melt was dry and the meat was cooked from all varieties of rare to well done. Fries were fine. Caesar salad was actually pretty good. Beer prices were great. No real vibe but the place is local so that's a perk. Overall, idk if the service gets better or if the food does either.

The Guinness is always poured to perfection, complete with impressive beer art. The fish and chips remain my go-to, but I tried the pub burger today and it was spot on--perfectly cooked and served on a pretzel bun that really sets it apart. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. If you're looking for an authentic Irish pub vibe, it's tough to find a place that does it better.

While this restaurant came highly recommended by everyone we asked, I hesitated at first because it wasn't a historic building. It seems most if not all historical restaurants are long gone. Ultimately, we decided to give it a try--and I am so glad we did! We shared the the shepherd's pie and bread pudding for dessert. We hesitated at first with the shepherds pie as it was not the typical recipe, this was made with lamb and topped with colcannon potatoes. I was pleasantly surprised when the kitchen thoughtfully split our plate for us. Because our friends weren't familiar with those potatoes, they settled on the fish instead, ordering the 2-piece and 3-piece cod dinners. They thought the fish was fantastic and the lamb shepherd's pie was absolutely delicious. The bread pudding was excellent too. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and we highly recommend stopping in!
