The place seemed solid. Some TVs, that they never really changed to updated live events. Lots of replays so that's not useful. Bartenders were nice when they were around, it was busy at first around 7. But wasn't busy 30 mins later yet still barely saw them. Food was just bad. Patty melt was dry and the meat was cooked from all varieties of rare to well done. Fries were fine. Caesar salad was actually pretty good. Beer prices were great. No real vibe but the place is local so that's a perk. Overall, idk if the service gets better or if the food does either. read more

Service AND food is either a hit or a miss on any given day. Ok location. Actually nice place inside with tvs to watch some sports. Ordered chicken strips and the batter wasn't cooked all the way through one time. French dip had some kind of taco type seasoning on it another time. Didn't eat it. My side salad was actually good though. If you're feeling like taking a chance try it out. Good luck. Too bad because Belgrade needs more good food places. read more

Went here last night with a group of 5. I'll start by saying our server was great! Those who got burgers enjoyed their food. However, I got the Mango Salmon and it was gross. I make better salmon at home in the air fryer. The salmon wasn't flaky, it was chewy and tasted like it was cooked with the burgers not sure it was even fully cooked. The rice it was served on was flavorless. My friend got the fish tacos which she liked, but she said that the loaded baked potato had what tasted like squirt/gas station cheese on it. I gave a 3/5 because 3 out of the 5 of us enjoyed the food. If it were up to me, I would've given a 2/5 but only because of the great service. For the food, I'd give a 1/5 because the fries were okay. For the price of everything it should've tasted better. Not going back. read more

I'm leaving 1 star because leaving zero wouldn't be fair to the one staffer that actually cared and tried hard. Unfortunately the food was sub-par AT BEST, the bartenders don't know how to make a decent cocktail from off their menu, and the service at the table was lack luster to say the least. Stopped in for a quick bite, told the woman who greeted us we'd sit at the bar. Sat at the bar for ten minutes with no acknowledgement from her. She giggled with a coworker while looking at her phone and doing something at the register. Then walked away, looked at her phone again and came back to register with a video call or speaker on laughing with the person. I found this place by searching best burgers near me...it did not disappoint. It was only a mile from my hotel which made it even better. Food: I ordered the cattleman's burger which came with bacon, cheese, bbq sauce and fries...I added the lettuce & onion.; it was phenomenal ! It was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy, yet not over cooked. And the bacon was PERFECT! If you're not into a messy burger, leave the sauce off. Service: we were seated very quickly (perhaps 5:15/5:30 on a Friday night) , and the waitress came over to take our drink orders within two minutes; she returned with the drinks and took the food order within five minutes. The food was brought out by another person within fifteen-twenty minutes. The waitress returned to check on us after several bites, and again when my glass was nearing empty and brought me a refill shortly. However, she never asked the second person about a refill and we had been finished eating for at least fifteen minutes when she returned the next time and asked us about dessert & the check. I find this disappointing anytime it happens, especially when they are not that busy. Ambience: the place looks like its name, an old time saloon, yet modernized. It wasn't noisy, and the tables were far enough apart we could not hear the next tables conversation. read more

We stopped at The Local American Saloon after landing at the Bozeman airport and finding it via yelp. It was the highest rated restaurant close by and happened to be less than two miles away! Really convenient parking right across the street in a large public lot! The restaurant is one of a handful of places inside of a larger building that seems to be a pretty neat older building that has recently been redone. The restaurant is your typical American fair, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and even steaks. We got an appetizer of cheese fries and they were great! Being that we got there a little early at about 11:30 they did not have a ton of people working so we sat at the bar to make it easy in the bartender. He was a really great server! I don't know anything else in the area, but if you're leaving the airport and need somewhere to grab a quick good bite you could do a lot worse than The Local American Saloon! read more

Stopped here after flying in from NC (long day) and the food and service was refreshing. We had different burgers which were all excellent. Note - they have gluten free buns for those people. Fries were really crispy and hot. We also tried a couple of the house cocktails - the elderflower drink and a couple of the others including the hibiscus one and they were all EXCELLENT! They subbed vodka for bourbon in one of the drinks - so very flexible to accommodate personal tastes. As good as all this is, our waitress solidifies the fourth star. The restaurant on its own is a weaker four star. I just don't offer do five stars..... We can't remember her name (dang it) she talked us through several questions and helped us through the cocktails. Very personable. Came here after our flight landed on a whim, and I'm so glad we did! The food and the drinks were absolutely delicious. I had the Cesar salad and a baked potato, and my husband had the pork Philly sandwich. He kept commenting on how juicy the meat was. I did feel bad for our poor server -- she had to manage the whole floor by herself, but she still provided excellent service and was attentive.
