So can we just pretend that it didn't take almost three years of living in Belgrade to realize The Manhattan Saloon was just a short 10 minutes away? I mean seriously...why have I been wasting my time driving all the way to Bozeman? We loved it here! The entire staff is so incredible and friendly. Nothing like a little small town hospitality and good eatin'. We started off with the bar pretzel. My husband was a huge fan. It's not a traditional, doughy pretzel. It kind of reminded us of a light, fried donut. One that you would get at the carnival - a little sweet, a little savory. The queso that came with it wasn't my personal favorite but it was okay nonetheless. What's better than a grilled ribeye? One that's smothered in mushrooms and onions, of course. Our steaks were tasty, no additional seasoning needed and worth the price. The veggies were okay. I try to avoid bell peppers. I opted in for a baked potato and my husband ordered the fries. Both were great. Our meals also came with a slice of Texas toast but it wasn't quite toasted enough for me. I also ordered a lemon drop martini and let's just say the bartender wasn't shy on the pour. Not sure what they use as their well-vodka but it came with a burn. Saloon is a cute low-key place, as you enter you have the bar to the right and the dining to the left. I sat on the dining side. Service was quick, then after I ordered my food more people started arriving and it got a little busy. The Tiger burger was delicious, juicy (medium) the bacon, the bread was soft. It wasn't spicy, next time I will ask if I can get my jalapenos roasted to hopefully make them spicy. The wings were crispy and good overall, the "hot" was a regular buffalo sauce, which was still tasty and the bbq well just bbq. The wings needed to be more saucy, definitely on the drier side. Overall for a small town, the quality of food and service was great. I will stop in again during my visit and try something new. read more

So, I was a Facebook follower of this establishment, and posted a remark to one of their posts and was blocked/banned from the group with my post taken down. What cowards! They need to step up their game in the kitchen and have the fortitude to withstand a bit of criticism. They posted an $18 brisket plate with three strips of dry meat....which I said looks like jerky. After living in Texas for 40 years, I know what brisket is "supposed" to be! We got there early for Saturday dinner and were a bit surprised that we didn't have to wait for a table, but it filled up quickly while we were ordering and eating. Service was good, but you could tell the wait staff was busy - it took a few minutes for some extra catsup. Food was good. Burgers were cooked just right and were tasty. Ambiance is like a dive bar they tried to make into a restaurant. It was once a great place as Sir Scott's Oasis. I'm sure Scott is not proud of what they have done. To even cheapen it they put in a gaming room. Should have kept it with just the 4 machines and table service as a bar Food is gross to look at but not bad tasting. I ordered 2 salads and a chicken strip basket to go. Got home and there were 4 skinny little pieces of chicken. Put it on my kitchen scale and it s 3.5oz of chicken. It was breaded so some of that weight was the breading. Pretty sad! Very disappointing. read more

4 of us went for dinner on Friday night and it was very busy. Seated immediately. Service was outstanding and the food was excellent. We were served drinks right away and our meals within 15 minutes of ordering. Ordered medium and medium rare burgers which were beautifully cooked to perfection. Another business (Oasis) occupied the space for many years. When they closed their doors we were sad to see another great restaurant close. Last week we drove to Manhattan for a drive, taking Amsterdam Road off Jackrabbit. We had no plans for lunch. We drove into Manhattan and decided to turn left, out of habit. We saw a new Red Sign "Manhattan Saloon." I googled it from the car to see if they might have lunch. Sure enough they had a lunch and dinner menu online. We wondered if the food would be good... Well, the food and beer (local-can't remember the brand) was FANTASTIC! Our server "Casee" or "Kacee" was spot on! We asked for our burgers to have no pink inside but not be burned. The burgers were PERFECT! They were not overcooked, very juicy and super delicious. Mine had cheese with grilled onions and mushrooms (lettuce and tomato). I chose onion rings and they were fabulous! I mean fabulous!!! I asked if they had a prime rib night. Sure enough, on FRIDAYS. Whether you're a local or visitor, the 20 minutes to drive to Manhattan (Take Amsterdam Road if you want to see beautiful farm country - Or the old highway from Belgrade (frontage road). Turn it into a "Drive." We just found our newest "GO TO" in this place. We have grandchildren and they have a nice menu for children. FYI: The BEEF IS LOCAL and incredible! I too loved the Oasis, but...This restaurant is not the Oasis, it's not fair to review them trying to compare, they are totally different, except for having the same building. We've been there multiple times and have always had great burgers, shrimp baskets, onion rings, etc. Our service has been friendly & awesome every time. Try them as a new restaurant, not an extension of the Oasis, give them a chance. read more

Yes, I miss Scott's Oasis too. But I've been to the Saloon three times for lunch recently and have enjoyed it every time. I think the burgers are excellent, as are the onion rings and fries. The chicken corn chowder gets a big thumbs and the beer selection is good. The staff has always been polite and attentive. I'll definitely continue to support this business. read more
