I was in the area and decided to stop for a coffee. Three Tarts came up on Yelp so I went in. Located in a small strip mall filled with several cute shops and restaurants, I found easy parking. When I entered I was surprised at the amount of beautiful baked goods in addition to tasty lattes. The staff behind the counter greeted me warmly and were very helpful. I chose a lavender latte and a buttermilk shortcake. I went out to the small patio to enjoy my delicious beverage and snack. If I am in the area again, I will definitely stop in. read more

For my birthday, I bought a banana cake from Three Tarts Bakery. I loved the actual cake part, it had a great flavor. The reason for the 4 stars is because there was way too much buttercream. Very cute bakery! They have some nice patio seating as well as indoor tables, but wow was it busy - you know it's good if it's that popular. The one thing I didn't really like was the set-up - having never been there before, I was asked to order before I could see even half of the display case options because of the line. They seemed to be out of a lot of baked goods since it was afternoon, so get there early if you have your heart set on something! I ended up going with a chai latte, which was very good, and tried a few of their cookies. The pistachio rugelach and apricot bar were particularly delicious. Came here to try their banana cake and it was very good. The icing is a little on the sweeter side but the cake itself was very moist. I also had their chicken noodle soup which was very good. I went here on a whim after a dentist appointment because it was close by. It was a cute bakery in the middle of a small shopping mall. The people at the counter were super friendly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, a cappuccino, and a piece of cake, which totaled $25. The breakfast sandwich was not overall good; however, the bread was. I can't say that the chocolate cake was impressive either. It was fine, as was the cappuccino. For the price point, I'd want to be impressed, but I was not. I hadn't heard of this place but was nearby and stopped in to get a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was ok. But luckily I didn't realize that you pick up online orders on the shelf in the hallway because I wouldn't have stopped inside the shop. Their gingerbread cookies are sooooo good! Even cuter a shop in person than online! Initially, I found this delightful bakery online when seeking special desserts for my cousins 98th birthday. Today is her 101st birthday, so I worked with three tarts bakery to coordinate a couple trays of delicious pastries. The staff was very friendly! They organized and coordinated, beautiful platters, even tying them with a beautiful red ribbon. The shop is adorable! It is small and located within the shops at Northfield Village Square with plenty of parking. The café has indoor seating aside from pastries and coffee, this café has a nice menu. Small little cafe, delicious but a bit expensive. It was frustrating that prices were not marked clearly for new customers. I ended up going to the register blind. The lemon raspberry muffin was ok, mostly raspberry flavor, very little lemon. But the blueberry muffin was fantastic. Stopped in for a cup of a coffee with an acquaintance. I'd heard good things from a few people, and I wanted a non-chain based location that was about halfway between our two locations. Super cute ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as neither of us had been before. All of the baked goods looked amazing and I still regret not picking anything up to enjoy with my coffee or later at home. I suppose that means I'll just have to come back! Came in early right when it opened and grabbed a Buttermilk shortcake, like a muffin to go. It was flavorful and dense and moist. At $3.25 not overly priced too compared to some other places. Their vegan chocolate zucchini muffins are incredible--rich, moist, and full of flavor--and I'm a big fan of their oat milk lattes, too. We could not be more happy with the wedding cakes we got from 3TB! The flavor combinations were fantastic: banana cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberry filling and a ganache icing for one, chocolate cake with mocha whipped cream and fresh raspberries with a white buttercream icing for the other. They were amazing! Several guests commented on the unique and fresh flavors of the cake. And I appreciate that it doesn't just taste like a sugar overload, there's ACTUAL flavor. The best story is that the husband of one of the guests is not a fan of cake...but found himself eating 4 pieces of the banana cake. Packed on a Saturday morning. Online ordering disabled, line out the door, people waiting in the hallways for their orders. Our to go order was prepared quickly and we ate in our car. The Buen Dia Ham and Egg Sandwich was delicious. Fluffy bread, tasty ham, soft eggs, cheese, and a nice sauce with a tiny kick of spice. We took home a cinnamon roll and french baguette for later. 2 sandwiches and 2 bakery items for just under $40 was quite steep, but we have no regrets supporting this small but growing local business. read more

Review written during Covid-19: This is one of my favorite spots to lunch, especially after Shred415 (right across the street) kicks my butt. I've been missing it during Covid-19, but they do have delivery and pick up options available. They also have delicious looking family meals for Wed and Fri evenings that typically sell out soon after they post them on their website on Sundays. When I needed to pick up a cake for a friend's 40th bday zoom last week Three Tarts was my first thought. I called the day before to pre-order, but they said since it was supper club night they weren't taking orders, but to call the morning of to see what they had available. I did just that and they had a few different choices, but I went w/ their typical birthday cake and they even said they'd inscribe it for me (wasn't expecting that the day of). I picked it up hours later and it was waiting for me at a side table right outside of the restaurant. I did have to go in, but felt safe since there wasn't really anyone else around. The bday girl said it was absolutely delicious we watched her devour it while on our zoom....the only time I've ever been able to resist bday cake. :) Bday celebrations may look a bit different these days, but there will always be cake and can't go wrong with a cake from here. read more

They have an extensive menu which include a variety of breakfast, sandwiches, sweets and treats, and beverages...not to mention the plethora of baked goods right in front of you as you order. I went with my sister's recommendation: Joe's breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, cheese on sunflower millet bread. She had the avocado toast with egg. Both were freshly-made and delicious. I work in the area and have frequented your bakery numerous times over the past 5 years. Picked up a coconut cake yesterday. Brought it home and ate it a few hours later. BY FAR THE WORST CAKE IVE EVER HAD. This cake MUST HAVE BEEN made about 4-5 days prior to my purchasing it. They most likely kept it in the fridge until some chump bought it. Unfortunately, that chump was me. You would think a bakery makes fresh cakes daily, but NOT three tarts. The cake was sooooo dry, it was inedible. The frosting tasted old and like it came out of a fridge (after 4 days of not being sold). Wasted 40$, no one ate it and threw it out this morning. Never return. And not recommended. AVOID this bakery. Don't listen to fake reviews. Please stay away. You are better off buying a cake from jewel. read more

Despite the great tasting cakes, scones, and pies here, I'll no longer be a customer. In reviewing my credit card receipts from last month, I found that someone had decided to add a hefty $35 and change tip to my receipt when I purchased a few baked goods on the side of a large custom cake and pie order. As I'm sure my loss wasn't a priority, resolution of the discrepancy was pushed back 3 days due to a holiday and bakery closure. I got a verbal commitment to receive a follow up call Thursday, but I had to proactively dial up Three Tarts when I hadn't heard anything by mid afternoon that day. After 2 more phone exchanges, I got confirmation that I would be refunded my money. Really upsetting, insulting, and annoying. That's called fraud, and it doesn't leave a good taste in the mouth. Fair or not, the actions of this one greedy individual represented the bakery, and I hope management takes the right steps in addressing the employment of that shady person, as I'm sure I wasn't the first to be subject to this individual's greed. read more

Every time I buy something from here, I regret it and tell myself I'm never going back. But I somehow get desperate and end up back. First off, be careful when you grab their pre packed cookies, danish, coffee cakes, etc. Nothing is priced so you end up at the register shocked with the total. Like almost $40 for 2 packs of cookies. Not to mention, they were stale and obvious it was sitting on the counter for at least 3-5 days. I have also purchased a bday cake here bc a neighbor recommended it. It was thee worst tasting cake. Dry, no flavor, just embarrassing to my guests. It was decorated nicely but thats it. Also way over priced for a cake that was prob made 3 days prior. At least. I don't mind paying up. But let it be delicious and fresh. I just don't trust this bakery. The best banana cake! We have ordered a full cake a few times and have also taken individual slices. The breakfast sandwich is made to order. The bread is always fresh and delicious!
