The space is stunning -- very vibey, dramatic lighting, big cherry blossom trees, and just the right amount of energy without feeling chaotic. It feels like a mix between a modern steakhouse and a lounge, which makes it perfect for date night or celebrating something. What We Ordered * Oysters -- Super fresh and a great way to start. * Pork Belly XO Arancini -- Honestly just ok. Crispy and different from the usual apps you see everywhere. * Wagyu Ribeye + Lobster Add-On -- This is the move. The steak was incredibly tender and the lobster just took it over the top. * Mashed Potatoes & Wagyu Fried Rice -- Solid sides, very shareable, definitely there to complement the mains. * Cocktails -- Really well done. Not just pretty drinks -- actually balanced and thoughtful. * Chocolate Cake -- Big, rich, and meant to split (even if you say you won't). This place is absolutely stunning! My girlfriends and I were out celebrating a friend's birthday, and it did not disappoint. We opted for a variety of starters and sides so we could try a bit of everything. The whipped edamame was delicious, as were the shishito peppers. You can never go wrong with truffle fries and the Asian salad. There's a great selection of cocktails, including espresso martinis, Aperol spritz, and wine by the glass or bottle. We went on a night with a DJ, who was floating above the dining room like a sexy little soundtrack god... excellent vibe ya'll. Now, the food: Very, very tasty. Not life-altering, but absolutely good. We ordered a lot: Smoked Ahi Tuna Crudo, Salmon Sashimi, Lamb Lollipops, Whipped Edamame, Black Tiger Shrimp Cocktail, Wagyu Fried Rice, Mashed Potatoes, Truffle Fries, Brussels Sprouts, NY Strip, Filet Mignon, Wagyu Dragon Beef, Lobster Garlic Noodles, Chilean Sea Bass, Butternut Squash Wok-Fired Noodles. I was fortunate enough to have experience brunch here on Mother's Day. After hearing reviews from Christina M, Debi and fellow Yelpers I was full of excitement when securing a reservation with my credit card. We found a public paid parking garage around the corner. Tip- take your ticket with you for they will validate two hours of parking while dining. After getting through the heavy entrance door, no exaggeration, I mean a two-arm maneuver, we were treated to the spectacular floor to ceiling upscale interior! Premium, modern, elegant Asian decor! The bar is massive! It is big enough to be a restaurant by itself. The dining area is even larger! While thoroughly reading the menu, we were trying to discuss our options. It was VERY loud and energetic though. The live DJ was entertaining but could have taken the volume down a notch for 10:00 in the morning. "Great sound system" my husband commented but perhaps better for later in the day. Our server, Preston D. took superb care of us. The service was spot on with water refills and change of plates and cutlery by our him and many assistants. Four out of six ordered items were very good . Currently, brunch menu on their website has been taken down so I cannot refer to the details of the items we enjoyed, but I will do my best. The Whipped edamame at $16 did not disappoint. Lighter and creamier than hummus accompanied by crispy prawn chips, this was delightful. The Souffle french toast for $22 was the highlight of brunch for me. A large stuffed bread cube that was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Prepared nicely and accompanied by Grand Marnier maple syrup. Delicious. The "Boring breakfast" at $23 included two eggs. four strips of bacon, farm potatoes with Hollandaise sauce, sourdough dry toast and a nice handful of various fruits. The scrambled eggs were creamy, delicious and the bacon was done just right. The "Berry Pancakes" $18 were not "berry good" all three of us agreed. All three pancakes were cooked well but had no personality. Flavorless, bland. I will not order these again. Preston asked how everything tasted and we let him know our thoughts. He graciously listed and explained that this is only the third brunch they have presented. Menu testing and improvement are currently in the works and they welcome all feedback. This explains why they didn't have coffee on the menu. Nor any milk options for my latte. I'm lactose intolerant but they kindly brought me a side of almond milk to pour into my espresso. I also questioned the absence of jam or butter for the dry sourdough toast on the breakfast platter. They apologized for not having any of those condiments but promptly brought a sauce cup of blueberry compote for us. I understand now that during testing brunch service these things will be noted. No worries. I'm glad they were transparent and explained this to us! I would return for a girl's night here due to the vibe of this place. It carries the mood of a Las Vegas night club. Second time in and first time in main dining room. What incredible ambiance in there. You feel like you are sitting in a cherry orchard. Fantastic, large screen around entire dining area is a reason to go to see even just to have a drink at the bar. Probably the most interesting, beautiful "unnatural" setting I've ever experienced. The food is out of this world inventive and good. I've tried a few things on the menu now, and can recommend ALL OF THEM. Service is very knowledgeable and attentive. Your table will be double and triple covered by your main server and his/her assistants. My only nit here is the prices on the drinks and wine. The food is expensive also, but for what you get in terms of uniqueness, I've got no problem with that. But not $22 cocktails and $25+ glasses of wine. For 2 people with 2 drinks each, your about at $100 just for alcohol. Add the food at about $125 pp for entree, appy, and dessert, you'll easily be at $400+ with tax and tip. This is a special occasion place though and it holds itself up well to that moniker. This is an experience! The restaurant is nothing like you've seen in AZ. They've gone all out on atmosphere. They've done so many nice touches and everything is high end. The menus were impressive. The food was all well done and well prepared. The thing that kept me from giving a 5 is that the flavors were a little safe. With the price point I would have expected a bit more "foodie" vs mainstream flavors and spice levels if that makes sense. The cucumber cocktail I had was amazing as were the mushrooms and the dessert so I would give those all 5 stars and the rest of the food items a 4. I personally had a great dining experience. Yes, it is pricey but it presents itself as a sophisticated place so you know what to expect going into it. It is really no different from other trendy and nicer spots in the Valley in terms of pricing (for better or for worse). Not something I'd be able to afford regularly, but I enjoyed the experience and would go back for special occasions. I came with a few preconceived ideas that (1) service would be a bit snotty as it can be in these types of places - it was not at all. From the front desk to the wait staff, everyone was extremely friendly; (2) music would be loud - maybe I thought this because it has that cool DJ booth and again, these types of places tend to be a bit loud. I was pleasantly surprised that the music was not loud, and I could carry a conversation without having to scream. Making a reservation was easy. There is plenty of free parking in the parking structure nearby. Finding the place was a bit complicated, because of the lack of signage and the fact that my online maps kept sending me someplace else. If, like me, you get lost, look up Crumbl Cookies and walk towards N Scottsdale Rd, it's right around the corner from that. My table was ready for me on time, I did not have to wait at all. I'm a vegetarian and maybe an Asian steakhouse that also serves a lot of seafood is not the greatest place for me, but I left with a full and happy belly after ordering the garlic noodles and the kimchi fritters (which were just a tad bit too salty for my taste, but otherwise hit the spot). Obviously my experience in terms of taste with non-meat, non-fish food may not be a relevant indicator of food quality, and you can refer to other reviews for that, but just saying there are tasty options for vegetarians. The drinks were delicious, too. Again, if you're looking to dine on a budget, this is not the place. You could also simply grab a drink in the bar area, which is quite nice too. This upscale & luxurious restaurant in the Tempe Watermark district, built for $10 million over two years, is run by 2016 MasterChef champ Shaun O'Neil. (I have seen all their episodes so I was excited to hear about this!) And yes, that infamous LED screen? It's from the same group behind the Las Vegas Sphere. Their catchy motto, "You've never tasted Asian like this," is bold--let's see if this is true! I booked a table for Christmas dinner (this also includes my 5yo) and it did not disappoint! I should mention, we rarely go out for extravagant dinners. The doorman offered to snap a family photo as we strutted in wearing matching Christmas onesies--how could we refuse? I should mention there is a dress code, but they let us slide since it was Christmas. We marveled at the gorgeous interior and vibrant LED screen which made it seem like you were in an aquarium amongst tropical fish. There was a live DJ playing catchy EDM, a live sax player belting along to the music while galavanting around the room and a dancer performing with beautifully lit up wings. It gave Toca Madera vibes. We were seated in these luxurious soft seats. The service was absolutely phenomenal with the utmost kindness and hospitality. Our server Antoinette navigated our entire dining experience with grace and attentiveness. Two managers also came along to introduce themselves and ensuring we were comfortable. Now, let's talk food! They kicked things off with complimentary Rosé--cheers to that! ---Exceptional items: *Whipped Edamame: Imagine hummus's sophisticated cousin - but make it Asian-fusion. Creamy edamame meets crispy shrimp chips in a gastronomic dance. Their 333 inscription is also a nice touch! *Lobster & Truffle Miso Carbonara: This was delicious with well-executed flavor profiles and we had a server come by shaving fresh black truffle over the dish. You'd have to be a truffle and lobster enthusiast b/c the dish was $120. ---Solidly, well prepared items included: *Robotyaki Wagyu Filet Mignon & Wagyu fried rice: The highly rated wagyu comes from Snake River Farms. $48 is a lot for each of these food items, so you'd really have to be a meat enthusiast to appreciate its quality. *333 beach dessert: This was a whimsical optical illusion dessert with coconut creme encased with a chocolate shell making it look like a real coconut slice. It was garnished with a playful crumble with slices of fruit and creme a-topped with garnish appearing to look like mini tropical islands. It was delicious, but I was impressed with the originality. *Fall of the Flying Lotus mock-tail: This was a fruity refresher for my 5yo, which he loved, tasty and bubbly with a dragonfruit slice. ---Room for improvement items included: *Salmon Fire: I was underwhelmed with the thick ponzu sauce, which drowned the the flavors of the delicate salmon sashimi. I would've preferred a crudo type preparation with a much lighter sauce or broth, perhaps with a hint of citrus. *Thai coconut corn: This side was aggressively sour, I couldn't finish it after 2 bites. Adding some more texture like light tempura flakes or bread crumbs could enhance the experience, almost like an asian fusion elote. *Crazy rich asian fries: With a name like that with a price point of $20, I expected something extraordinary. The thin cut fries tasted like they were prepared from frozen and they had a small container with truffle aioli, to which I could barely taste the truffle. Maybe they could use thicker freshly prepared fries with a more apparent taste of truffle. *Side of white rice: This was for my kiddo, it was pretty stale and cold. I know this can be easily improved. All in all, we had a wonderful Christmas dinner experience! The food was incredible. My girlfriend and I had the wagyu filet and the NY strip, the meat was so tender and flavorful, the wagyu fried rice and ube cheesecake were both excellent as well. We paired our meal with a nice bottle of wine and the sommelier did an excellent job telling us about the wine and serving it to us. The atmosphere and decorations were also amazing, it never felt too loud. Our server was a bit underwhelming, there wasn't anything that they did wrong, but when you go to a nicer restaurant you expect a bit more than just refilling waters occasionally. I was excited to go to Three Thirty Three. I confess I wondered if the food would be too salty as per lots of reviews. One thing that I did like was the hostess desk was in a large spacious area with sitting. So many restaurants have basically no where to wait while waiting to be seated. I honestly didn't like the hostess. She proceeded to compliment my hair which I frequently receive. But it was so obviously a fake compliment and her shallow chit chat was really off putting. If you cannot have a genuinely friendly staff seating guests then aim for an amiable curious tone. While the hostess was lackluster our waiter was exceptional. He was warm and turbot in the most natural manner which was such a contrast to the fakeness of the hostess. Our waiter was very attentive and naturally courteous. We order the Tofu Avocado salad for a starter. I am not typically a tofu fan, this salad blew me away. The packed firm tofu was extremely tasty and flavorful. The micro baby greens with edible flowers was fresh and tasty. The thick cut avocado was delicious. I did appreciate having nice round chopsticks. I really enjoy using chopsticks. Another nice touch was the napkin rings. I really cannot the last time I saw napkin rings at a restaurant and I like that this restaurant uses them. The truffle fries were exceptionally crispy and flavorful but the salt level was too much. Too salty food is such an easy fix but shouldn't be an issue. Chefs need to taste their food. The Hand roll was greatly liked by my companion but he felt the amount of rice served was too paltry and should have been more generous. He enjoyed being able to make his own hand rolls. We also ordered the Roasted Cauliflower and it was the perfect bite sized pieces for chopsticks. It was very savory and delicious and the salt level was perfection. The atmosphere and decor are pleasant but the digital aquarium is gimmicky and kinda Disney like. I prefer the more sedately decorated bar area. It's subdued in the best possible way. I will go again if I'm in the area, hopefully the salt issues will be resolved and I would choose to be seated in the bar area over the garish main dining room. read more

This was a dining experience of a lifetime. We were lucky enough to experience Three Thirty Three on their opening night to the public and it was incredible. Most stunning of all was the interior of the restaurant. From the giant fish tank screen to the cherry blossom trees, everywhere you looked was breathtaking. The aesthetics was perfection down to every little detail. There was a live DJ and honestly it was the best restaurant music I've heard. I would hire him to play at my wedding. The food was just as spectacular as the atmosphere. We were fans of Chef Shaun from Masterchef and he was the reason I've been following the development of this restaurant for over a year! The flavors of every dish were new, exciting, and we could not get enough. Lastly, the service was nothing less than what you would expect from this caliber of a restaurant. We made reservations online, and the only options were 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM. Naturally, we assumed the place must be packed all night and booked the 5:00 slot, thinking we'd be lucky to snag a table. Fast forward to our arrival: the restaurant was completely empty. Not a soul at the bar, maybe a handful of tables filled by 6:30 in main seating area. Why the credit card on file, guys? The place isn't that exclusive, and this policy just deters guests from booking. On entry, the vibe was undeniably impressive: a Vegas-like setup with velvet seating, a DJ, and a rotating image screen. It was all very "wow" at first glance. But unfortunately, the wow stopped at the decor. The drinks and food? Not it. An espresso martini for $27? Let's be real--you're not in Scottsdale. The food followed the same theme: basic, overpriced, and not remotely Asian-inspired. The standout dish of the night? The lemon chicken. Yes, the lemon chicken. Everything else was forgettable at best. Scallops, cold. Filet, over-drenched with sauce. Noodles, better at home. Cauliflower, soggy. To top it off, the service felt rushed despite the fact that the place was a ghost town. If you're going to drop this kind of money, go somewhere that knows how to deliver quality food and drinks. I saw this place all over social media for their grand opening and so excited to finally try their food! Long story short, I think you're definitely paying for ambience. We ordered the Black Cod dish and it was delicious with fried ginger strips and mushrooms to compliment the flavors. The portion was the smallest I've ever seen at a fancy place. The Hamachi Crudo was good but not great. The yellowtail cut was on the thicker side and I just didn't like it with the baby tomatoes they sliced in half. The Pork Belly Tacos were so yummy! Crunchy on the outside with deliciously cooked pork belly! Only thing was it came as two tacos and was as tiny as the length of your finger. Cauliflower side we ordered was quite good and I liked the sauce it came with. The space was beautiful and there's a bar spot in the back to the left when you walk in. Beautiful place and I would recommend for a special occasion since it's pricey. The service is amazing. Everyone is super nice. The food was pretty good. The wagyu beef was amazing and so were the cocktails. I don't know why we decided it would be a good idea to get fries lol. Those were season great but definitely worth skipping. The lemongrass chicken was underwhelming. I was excited since it looked so good but although it was cooked well. It tasted just like grilled chicken. Next time I'm definitely going to try the seafood and short ribs. read more

Ambiance and service are perfect! Waiters/waitresses were very attentive and knowledgable about the menu, as well as accommodating to specific requests (like sauce on the side). They also had dancers, a live dj, and someone playing electric guitar live. Food was also pretty good, although nothing special. The presentation of each dish was a nice touch as well. My main critique is the price. Although I don't expect a place like this to be cheap, the menu prices were almost exorbitant. Portions were small while prices were high. The wagyu tacos were $28 for two bite sized tacos. A recurring thought was that the food was good, but not good for the price. Cocktails were, again, okay but not for the price. Our second review for Three Thirty Three...Asian fusion with an amazing ambience and customer service! Although the 4 to 6 PM, happy hour is no longer in swing during the busy season, it's still an amazing experience. I mean, I can't even tell you how good the customer service is here as well as the food and the drinks. During our most recent visit, we actually got to meet the owners... Who were nothing but friendly and overly accommodating! I'm just gonna say this is probably the best kept secret in all of the valley right now and it's my understanding that perhaps in the future there's gonna be other concepts from the originators. Came here for Father's Day and was blown away. Started off with a drink at the side bar which had a really great drink menu and tons of options for whiskeys. Once we were sat we were given lots of options for food that were all amazing. We got the fried chicken, wagyu tacos and sashimi which were knock outs. For our main orders we did steaks including the table side Wagyu which was a great experience and something new we had not seen before. The garlic noodles were also a great option in place of a more traditional side. They really did a great job blending the Asian fusion with high end steak house. Our server was amazing and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. This was a 5/5 experience and we will definitely be back soon. read more

Spectacularly appointed interior with cherry "trees," a DJ, guitarist and dancer for a very hip ambience. For only being open two weeks, our service was great. We went for our anniversary and ordered kimchi fritters, miso salmon with champagne beurre blanc sauce, Wagyu filet, hamachi Crudo, spicy noodles, assorted mushrooms and green beans. The salmon, mushrooms, Wagyu and Crudo are highly recommended. We got a Cool as a Cucumber cocktail also which was delicious. Beautiful venue. We went on a Tuesday and saw some cool entertainment, I can't imagine how loud and busy this must get on weekends ! Definitely an A+ for decor and nightlife vibe. Unfortunately the ambiance didn't make up for the very pricey outing. Nothing was wrong with any of the food but very little wowed. Our favorite dishes were the edamame dip , garlic noodles and veggie sides (ironically all of the less expensive items too). Our table tried the tacos, sushi and a couple of mains and were fairly underwhelmed. Would go back to check out the bar scene or maybe light bites but no rush to return for dinner. read more

I went here for my birthday. My friends and I had read mixed reviews but everything was really good. The pork belly and crispy rice with ahi tuna, the Caesar salad and the entrees we all had were really good. We also enjoyed the Wagyu fried rice. The mashed potatoes were nothing special but other than that enjoyed it all. The servers were so nice and enjoyed every moment. The ambiance is just the cherry on top. A friend and I went to Three Thirty just a few days after it opened. The food, which is drawn from Asian cuisines such as Japanese and Korean, is quite good. The hamachi crudo appetizer and the Wagyu Dragon Beef entree were our standouts. The garlic noodles and Korean fried chicken were fantastic as well. The drinks are inventive and delicious; the Okinawan Tea Service was beautiful and fruity and the Cool as a Cucumber was light and refreshing. The prices are high--really high. Cocktails are $20+, most appetizers are well above $20 and entrees start around $50. Portions are fairly small (except for the fried chicken, which was massive), so dishes start adding up quickly. Service was excellent. A few mistakes occurred--cilantro on a dish that wasn't supposed to be there, and I was brought a different cocktail from the one I ordered--but the server was apologetic and the errors were fixed quickly. The decor is initially impressive but ultimately confusing. The enormous LED screen with the aquarium graphics is super-cool. The main dining room has bamboo-paneled walls and cherry blossom trees for an Asian-inspired look, but they clash visually with the red velvet club chairs. The ultra-modern DJ podium, again, looks cool, but doesn't really match the rest of the decor. And about the DJ, the EDM was loud and often intrusive. The music doesn't need to be that loud at 6 p.m. on a Wednesday. Some people won't mind, but it's definitely not a place for an intimate meal. We did really like the saxophonist who walked around the dining room, though. We poked our head in the bar area before we left--it's a cool space and more mellow than the dining room. I'd be more likely to return to enjoy the bar than the restaurant. Overall, I think for people who want to try to hot new spot and who have the money to drop, Three Thirty Three is well worth visiting. read more
