Car #1 was a NIissan Rogue. The interior driver side mirror adjustment controls were missing the trim piece. This meant using one finger to manipulate the tiny pieces of metal to make side view mirror adjustments. It was next to impossible! Seems easily corrected by ordering a new trim piece. Car #2 had a seriously damaged driver side door mirror. It was totally smashed exposing all the wiring. Hard to imagine the mirror could possibly function properly. Car #3 was great. No complaints. Maggie was kind, patient and helped me find a suitable vehicle. Thanks to her my rental was a success The concern here is the obvious lack of management/ owners properly maintaining the rental cars. My observations were easily noticeable problems. It makes one wonder if the brakes, batteries, etc are being serviced and maintained.

I switched my…read morereservation from UHaul to Budget 2 days before my move so I could get a bigger truck which UHaul was sold out of. I received a confirmation number from Budget that I had a truck reserved in Wexford. So I cancelled my UHaul truck. The next day I get a call from Budget customer service telling me the truck I wanted was only available in Coraopolis. Whoops. We made a mistake. We really didn't reserve a truck for you like your reservation said. Too bad. Drive 45 minutes and 25 miles and get the truck yourself in the opposite direction from where you are going. And by the way, you have to return it to this location as well. Poor customer service both locally and at the 800 number. They could care less. I will NEVER rent from Avis in Wexford or Budget Truck again. I have rented UHauls for years and have never had this happen. And their rates are much much lower than Budgets.

Not the best car rental experience. Reserved in advance under one name and it was such a hassle to…read morechange the name. Finally finished checking in and the garage pickup was a disorganized mess, too. A younger employee brought the car around for us and pulled it all the way into a dead end lane, which was tricky to get out of in a new car that was completely unfamiliar to us. It's also a little suspicious that the cars get picked up in a poorly lit garage, where it's harder to assess damage before you leave and can be liable for missed dents, etc. later. In any case, we were finally on our way. On our fourth day of a five day reservation, we got a flat. My husband was able to change to the spare but when calling the Avis hotline for info, they were next to useless at what should be a fairly routine situation to resolve. We got passed around to like five different people and had to start all the way over with our contact info and explanation each time, only to eventually be told to drive an hour back to the shop to switch out for a new vehicle. Not sure if options were limited because this happened on a Sunday or what but two hours later, our day was back on track. The second vehicle smelled like weed and there wasn't really a way to document that so we'll just have to see if anything happens with that.

Our flight was delayed and Avis assured us they would stay open for our arrival. Upon arriving, they were closed and we were forced to rent from another agency. Because we prepaid for the Avis rental we returned the car and picked up from Avis the next morning. Upon pick up my husband took a video of the car and its existing damage (mirror was taped on). At the end of our trip the car was returned and inspected. This week (two months later) we received a letter stating the car was damaged and we'd be charged over $600. My husband called customer service to explain the situation and the representative quickly closed the case based on photos in the file, Avis stated the passenger door was damaged, not the mirror. Do not prepay, there's no benefit.
