Went with a friend to check this place out and had THE BEST time! Negar and Kaz were so friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. Although I have thrown before, it was still nice to learn completely new things from each of them (as they both have their own throwing styles and know of a multitude of techniques) and allow you to take what works best for you and to run with it! They're such cool people, make you feel really comfortable if you might be a bit rusty (me) or a total newbie (my friend!) and encourage you all the way through. So we randomly saw this across the street from where we were having dinner and decided, on a whim, to try it out. This was the most fun time after a math conference EVER!! Such a great place to visit and have some fun. We were a group of 4 that came by and asked a few questions and Negar, the young lady at the front desk, was so helpful. The next day we stopped in and booked an hour. Kaz helped us with the 2 lanes we had and showed us how to utilize the various throwing tools. They have several different games you can play to compete with your friends and we played 4 different games. We had so much fun and the three different tools we got to throw were so much fun. All 4 of us were surprised at how much we really enjoyed ourselves trying to throw the axe, hatchet, and shovel. I highly recommend this place, not only is the entire staff awesome and helpful, they will encourage and allow you to have a blast within your group. Super fun experience all the workers are really friendly and offer helpful tips on how to hit the bullseye so don't worry if you've never thrown before I hadn't and made almost every throw! There's multiple different types of axes and bullseyes to hit so plenty of action and well priced I think we went over our reserved hour and they didn't mind at all since covid it wasn't busy at all. read more

the owner, i believe her name was negar, was awesome! she was insanely sweet and very helpful when it came to throwing technique and questions. she even has her own artwork painted on the walls, and i must say shes rather talented. this place is an incredibly unique experience and even has free retro arcade games while waiting/post throwing (how rad is that). my boyfriend and i happened to stumble upon it on our way to dinner on our anniversary, and i can guarantee we will be coming back soon. in fact, i have plans to go this friday! truly an awesome business and worth checking out. :) read more

First off, our first experience here was great! It's a good activity for group interaction and motivation. I love the setting of the mood with the arcade 1up cabinets at the entrance and the overall paintings of game characters on the wall! Met up with our friends for a date night in downtown SD and randomly wanted to come here. I thought 15 minutes would be enough, but boyfriend and I were like okay, 30 minutes then. Our friends got there before us and paid for an hour already so I guess I'll embarrass myself for an hour. They'll teach you how to throw the tools. I missed so badly at the beginning that I was ready to leave after a few dangerous tosses. Then something got to me and I started hitting the circle and eventually bullseye. The shovel and the axe were my babies. We ended up playing games: couples vs couples and ladies vs gentlemen. After all, it wasn't so bad! I actually had a lot of fun (once I found my bullseye winner tools). You never know what you're capable of doing. I'd totally do this again. read more

Came here with my friends Penny and Monty and it was awesome. The owners are super nice and friendly, they're very laid back but also make sure you know they are there to help out with any questions. Both of them showed us how to throw each axe and the technique behind each one. They are very thorough when it comes to teaching you safety so no one gets hurt. Overall a very badass environment to let out some steam. I never thought I would have this much fun throwing axes but it's definitely a place I will continue to come to.
