Good ambiance. Love the throwback movie posters on the wall but wished they had more pre 2000 items on the wall similar to fudruckers. The logo definitely is cool and very Miami and wish they had merch. If they had a bigger place they can definitely have more items like a bigger arcade with pinball machines and throwback vending machines would be cool. The service was great very friendly. The menu was simple but also included a dirty soda section which was cool to have a taste of Coke float but with different flavors. The food tastes good and was a good portion. I chose sweet potato fries and it was just how I like it crunchy. Thought the bar had a huge selection of beer and spirits but wish they had a menu or printed list to know what they have. This isn't gourmet and was never meant to be. Think of it more as a family friendly bar that serves mainly burgers, hot dogs and flatbreads. It was too fast-foody/fried food to be a favourite for me but other people in the group enjoyed it. A plus for offering vegan items, such as the burger and the hot dogs...possibly the wings, I just don't remember. They don't have anything diet on the drinks except for coke and most of these are coming in cans so you will pay each and every time, no iced tea was a big turn off. I write this review with caution because I worry that the restaurant will become so busy we may never get in LOL. We came here after we saw the video with the fun food that looked yummy and unique. We came hungry with 6 kids who played sports all day and 5 ready to eat adults- we knew the hype of the video might be hard to live up to. I'm here to tell you it lived up to the hype and then some. Let's start with the super friendly staff and the decor. So fun and there's a cute arcade that keeps the kids busy that didn't cost any money.... Speaking of money it was all a great value and super reasonable prices. We tried a lot so I will break it down. Dirty sodas are $5 and so so yummy- there is one that tastes like Butter Beer and the orange creamsicle was also creamy and delicious. We also had a blue razz sprite- all around well worth the $5 in a big tall glass no overfilled with ice. Apps- we bought a bunch so I'll just review in no real order. The Campfire fries are sweet potato waffle Fries covered in melted marshmallows. This is insanely delicious- a mix between your mom's sweet potato's on holidays that have melted marshmallow that's creamy and sticky and fresh crispy waffle fries. It's a must order! Fried pickle wedges- this is for real pickle lovers. It isn't those soggy breaded pickle slices most places serve- this is a crisp spear of a pickle breaded and fried in a seasoned batter and served with a tangy ranch like dip. Mozzarella moons- remind you of old diner mozzarella sticks, the cheese pull is insane and I feel nuts saying this but the side of marinara was some of the tastiest marina I have ever eaten. I feel like that on the fried chicken they serve would incredible and feel like if they don't already have a parm sandwich they should with that mozzarella moon and fried chicken- thank me later after you order tenders and the mozz moons and combine them. Nashville hot mozzarella moons- this surprised me bc lately I feel like anything "Nashville hot" is just like burn your mouth and make your nose run spicy- which I personally find disgusting. I took a bite of this not thinking I would like it at all and I was wrong. It has a slight sweet flavor, more like a hot honey and Nashville hot combined. Awesome cheese pull and a must order if you like spicy. Chicken Caesar Salad- yummy fresh seasoned chicken and a huge plate with super crispy lettuce/ croutons- well worth the $$$$ The Titanic Burger- gigantic burger with well seasoned thin patties-cooked to perfection and layered perfectly with cheese and toppings. Adult chicken tenders meal- big, tender and fried perfectly. Both the burger and the tenders served with fries that remind you of Checkers fries in style and flavor- I worry I'm saying delicious too much but everything was delicious. Tropic Thunder- on a chicken sandwich. It had pineapple, white American, yum- potato sticks and garlic aioli-I was so full from taste testing a few bites of appys that I couldn't even eat it- but I brought it home and took a bite as I let my husband taste it bc he couldn't make lunch and it was phenomenal, even not fresh- I can only imagine how it would taste hot and fresh. Can't wait to go back and order it again, it's a must try for anyone who loves pineapple on savory food-also kinda a play on Columbian food with the potato sticks and pineapple. Should I say delicious again- Kids meals- hotdogs on top of Mac and cheese- my 4yr old was in heaven and it was such a throwback to being a 80/90's kid. Mac and cheese was creamy and not just Kraft re-heated. 10/10 Kids Cheeseburger Meal- large and freshly prepared- kid approved they all ate their burgers and enjoyed them. Treats: Cookies and Cream Shake- topped with like coco pebbles and whip cream- it was rich, delicious and flavorful- a deal at $9 Crazy Good- a strawberry shake topped with mini pop tarts- this was the best imo, strong strawberry flavor and just the right amount of milkshake sweetness- adorable mini pop tart topping made it cuter and yummier. I do wish there was a kids size shake or up charge for the kids meal to sub the shake- not bc it was so expensive it was just so large. Although it was a great value and so good I want to be able to give the kids a smaller portion. That is literally my only feedback. This will def be a regular stop on our rotation since the food was worth every penny, which sometimes fun food isn't. We loved it!!! read more

I arrived at the restaurant about 3 pm on a Saturday. No tables available more kids than adults in place and no tables available. Place is nicely decorated but all the tv's were set to some women's football. Music was playing Hanson. Ordered campfire fries(sweet potato's waffle fries covered marshmallow fluff and small marshmallow. Super sweet but nice dessert. Also my wife ordered creamsicle and she really liked it. I had the Reese's puff shake it was a chocolate shake with cereal on top and it was not anything special. Place is unique and I would think maybe a good place to take your kids but for adults this place not that big a deal. I do have to say the social marketing for this place very good. It's old school 80's/90's look with tv catch phrases on the tables (each one is different), there are old payphones along the wall, a newspaper self serve machine, Movie posters, Big Screen TV's televising old sports games and MTV, a free play arcade for the kids and kids at heart. But let's get to the GOOD part...the food, its top notch, creative and out of the box recipes. There is something for every age and taste. Remember this is a tavern and they have all the comfort foods to choose from. Burgers, wings, chicken sandwiches, and beyond meat too for the vegetarians, flatbreads, salads and hotdogs. They also have a kids menu. The drinks are fun...regular sodas to dirty sodas to milkshakes to a variety of beer, buzz balls, hard seltzers and wine. We had the wings and the blue crush burger, the hurricane ale and the cherrylicious. Everything came out perfectly cooked and in a quick timeframe. It was so delicious! The owner is Nicole who owns Coley's Pizza! She and her staff worked hard on this menu and it shows. From the hostess to the waitress you are treated with a smile and care. So I live in the area and I have been intrigued as I drove by. I finally went in and was surprised that a tavern with the name "throwback" only serves IPA beers on tap. Was excited to try a instagram spot and to try their burgers and shakes which it was decent however, the service was terrible! It wasn't even busy that's what was confusing. No one was waiting to be seated. But somehow my man got his food first which whatever no big deal but then 15-20 mins go by and we haven't received our food. We were only a party of 4 if you include my baby. Then I receive my food and my step son but still didn't receive my babies food which was just Mac and cheese with hot dogs. They stated they went viral and they weren't aware of that happening so they were understaff. Our waitress kept taking other peoples orders that came after us and got their food first not just appetizers but burgers. We asked to speak to the manager and I'm honestly not even sure we were talking to the manager since she was waiting tables. She refused to accept responsibility for our complaints and barely offered a discount she said she'll give us 15 percent and she never did. She kept defending her people and refused to feel bad and said she has to keep waiting tables. Even the drinks came in different orders. As someone who use to serve people I know how it is when things get busy so we weren't trying to be difficult but if you just brush off customers like they don't mean anything to you, you'll lose businesses and eventually shut down. If you're not prepared to have enough staff which honestly was just an excuse and then they stated that my man received his food first because the cooks are in different stations which doesn't make sense then everyone will receive their food at different times. So in general no one wants to receive their food in different order if we all came out together as a family. Most places don't hesitate to make the customers happy but this "manager" didn't seem to care.
