The hubs and I frequented the hotel in the early 2000s but the hotel went through some changes and we abandoned ship. We hadn't been back since the refurbishment of the outside and the expanded kitchen. We learned tonight we should have jumped back on ship sooner! Atmosphere is great, food was great (chicken bacon ranch wrap w/ tots, German pizza flatbread), beer was cold, waitresses were perky, music was good, and the local football game was on the TV... and it was packed! Time to become regulars again! Loss of a star is only because of a slightly slow kitchen. Not a huge deal given the social nature of the place. Note... We almost drove by it, the outside of this building is falling apart and considering there was a literal NOOSE hanging off the fire ladder, we got a little frightened lol, but we still went it. It's you're typical bar, it was quiet, with just one bar tender. She was quick and very nice. We got a table that was near the darts, and was able to play a game. The food came out fast and was, meh. We got the Parmesan curds and those were good. I got the copycat special, I don't know why but the BBQ was really sweet. My bf got the nachos and the meat was dry. I ordered the strawberry special drink and it was boozy. But the atmosphere was pretty chill, just a normal small town local bar. Do not go here. Easily the worst choice for food in the area. Their menu is all frozen food that they can't even reheat right. My food tasted freezer burned and disgusting. Ordered take-out when we were staying in the area, we were craving burgers/sandwiches, and their prices & menu were great. First, the good: Food was a solid 4. Both the patty melt and the chicken bacon ranch wrap were really good! We also ordered french fries (+$1), and they were also good... but did not come with ketchup. As we were staying in an airbnb, this was extremely disappointing, no ketchup to be found. Please consider providing condiments! Now, the bad: Not a single patron (OK, one - an older woman) was wearing a mask. No social distancing, the place was packed. The bartender wore a mask, but pulled it down to talk to patrons. If we had known there were no safety measures in place, we would not have ordered (we only discovered this after having driven to pick up our food). I'm writing this review mainly to let others know - if you are following the CDC's guidelines for staying healthy and COVID-free, this is not the place to go for dinner. read more

TLDR: Place to be in Tripoli! Local hot spot, delicious food, and solid beers! We had the Clams, mozzarella sticks, a mushroom taco, and pierogis for appetizers that were delicious! The clams were perfectly cooked, mozzarella sticks had great cheese pull, the mushroom taco had a deliciously scrumptious garlic butter sauce on it and the pierogis were well stuffed and sautéed in butter and onions! Off to a great start and finished strong with delicious entrees: chicken sandwich, turkey club, French dip sandwiches and two different burgers! We're beyond stuffed and would definitely come back! Service was a little slow but super friendly (but there were a ton of people and only two servers/bartenders on at the moment)! read more

Had an AMAZING time here with my family. Great pool table, dartboard and jukebox. Super friendly staff and patrons. Might have been one of the best meals I've ever had.. the chicken wings were AMAZING and the steak salad was probably the best I ever had, perfectly cooked. The beer was cold and fresh. EDIT: I'm editing my review to reflect my more recent experiences. All of the staff are super nice and attentive, the wings have improved and I would say that all their food is really good. I am pleasantly surprised by all of their specials. My fiance and I both have been going there more often and I think that they're finding their groove a little better than before. The live bands are always good too. I would now recommend them. OLD REVIEW: I recently moved to the area from Carbon county and was really hoping that this would be our new hangout as it is right down the road from our house. I was craving wings so I tried calling for pick up, it took an hour for someone to answer the phone. I ended up having my fiance pick it up on his way home because he got off an hour after me. Wings were over priced and they were the worst wings that I have had. Soggy, no crispness and practically no sauce. I actually mixed up some siracha and bbq at home and put it on for some flavor. I'm hoping to find a good deal some Friday on drinks, but don't think I'll be eating there again. The only reason for the 3 stars is that the bartender was nice when my fiance picked up the food. read more

It's what you would expect from a towny bar. The locals are extremely friendly and welcoming and the service is friendly and accommodating. The food is equally as satisfying, the only downfall are the meal prices. Aside from that, it's A great place to stop into for a drink, or two. read more

I stopped at this place to take a break on a motorcycle trip to western PA and was really surprised how good the food was. The place is a typical small town bar in an old hotel in rural Pennsylvania. They waitress was very attentive and they happened to have a cheesesteak special the day I was there. The cheesesteak sandwich was really good and came with fresh cut fries that were also good for $6. I will definitely go back if I'm in the area again. Tried it for the first time. Food is way overpriced. Just typical bar food but prices are if you were at upscale restaurant. Juke box was so loud couldn't even have a conversation. Bartender/waitress was totally inattentive. Never checked on us, drinks were empty and had to basically flag her down to get a refill on the drinks.
