The front office staff also spent a lot of time explaining the billing process and detailing information about my insurance plan. Their transparency in medical billing was refreshing and much appreciated. I am actually looking forward to my next appointment, which is unusual since I used to enjoy the dentist about as much as I like doing taxes. It felt good to be seen and heard while in the chair. Dr. Jill was just as kind and helpful. I never once felt out of place in the office and they didn't make me feel like a dummy with bad oral hygiene. I have scheduled further care and cleanings with Oakmont Family Dental. My last dentist, it took weeks just for them to then turn around and have to seek approval from the insurance a second time because designing the crown took so long. I cannot overstate how nice it was to just get it all done in one vist. Both doctor Lee and Haelee were friendly, included me in their conversation even when I could only respond with a thumbs up and they even went the extra mile of getting rid of calsification even though it wasn't originally in the plan. If you are looking for a Dentist, I highly recommend McKenzie Dental Center. Their hours are flexible, when I say I need an appointment while my kids are in school, they make sure to find something that works for me and I never have to wait long for anything.

I went to Dr. Sullivan in hopes that after more than 5 years of hiding my teeth when I talked or smiled, I'd be able to get some confidence back. I'm uncomfortable all the time after a front tooth crown he placed back in June. I've made many, many visits back to get adjustments as none of my other crowns on this same tooth have been uncomfortable, so I knew it wasn't supposed to feel this way. At my last visit, as he was adjusting the back, he must have accidentally hit the bottom of the crown and sliced part of it off. This is one of my front two top teeth, and now one is shorter than the other. I noticed it immediately and asked him about it. He completely denied having done it, even though I pointed out that I walked into the office that day with both of my two front teeth being the same length. What followed is nothing short of shame tactics on his part. Telling me he can never make me happy (gaslighting), when all I've been striving for is to make my mouth comfortable again, the way it was before this crown. I never nit picked the aesthetics of his work. His crowns have all been beautiful and matched perfectly, which I've let him know each time. I went to a different dentist and upon examination he let me know that I am uncomfortable due to crowding on my bottom teeth (something Dr. Sullivan had recognized in December and was working on for me). Basically, my bottom tooth wants to be where my crown is, so of course I'm uncomfortable. I'm going to an orthodontist next and hope to finally feel better. What's heartbreaking is that I am hiding my smile again, as the bottom of the crown has been sliced off. And since I don't plan to get the crown replaced, I will be hiding my smile for a very, very long time. I don't expect perfection in dentists, as they are human, too! But owning up to and admitting mistakes instead of gaslighting and demeaning me would have been a better way to handle that situation. I probably wouldn't have gone back, but I also wouldn't be writing this review right now. To his credit, he did give me all my money back. He also does work with labs that create perfect looking crowns.

Their dental staff holds the perspective that unless something demands attention, it isn't their job to mess with it, which is something I appreciate in a medical facility. They do offer cosmetic treatments as well. Cleaning w/ gas set me back about $400.
