Betty is absolutely the best hair cutter I've ever had. Laides, you can get your hair cut there too. I've been doing it for the last 6 or 7 years. We tipped her well 25% before looking at the finish. Absolutely NOT deserving on our patronage especially for a master barber level. 1st Star: Appointment booking system was very user friendly. Pretty much a few clicks and I had an appointment made for my 14 yo son. 2nd Star: Based on other reviewers' rave, I booked Kassie for a Signature Haircut for my son. She was entertaining and talented. She took her time to talk to my son and encouraged him to speak his mind and express his wants. She was thorough and efficient. 3rd Star: for treating my 14 yo like a valued client, not a kid. He even got a warm towel face wrap even though he didn't have a shave. Robert started cutting and it seemed like he knew what he was doing until he started hacking at the top of his hair which we said to leave long and to take maybe an inch off so he could still have his curls. Today was my son's second visit to Weldon Barber. I booked the appointment online and confirmed it via text. Online I selected the Time Saver Cut service because my son doesn't need the extra services like a warm towel and scalp massage. The Time Saver Cut is a 35 minute slot that includes shampoo and hair cut. We arrived at 2:30pm for his appointment. At 2:40pm Christian finished with his previous client and came out to get my son. Upon looking at my son, Christian said his hair was too long for a Time Saver cut. According to Christian a Time Saver cut is for hair above the ears and my son's hair is just below. Nowhere on the website does it give hair length requirements for Time Saver hair cuts. I told Christian the website does not list hair length requirements for the hair cut, it only lists the length of time for the slot and that it includes a shampoo and cut. Christian's response was "yeah, I wish they didn't do that". He told me we'd have to come back because 20 mintues wasn't enough time to cut my son's hair. My response was - well I booked a Time Saver appointment which is 35 minutes not 20 minutes. Christian's response was - because he went 10 minutes over with his previous client, he now only had 20 minutes which wasn't enough time for my son's hair and I needed to reschedule. So, I booked our appointment in advance, confirmed it, and showed up on time. Christian made us wait 10 minutes and then told us we'd have to reschedule because he didn't have enough time. I landed on Weldon and after reading so many reviews I picked Angela as my barber. From the second she introduced herself she was kind and had great customer service. As a first time visitor, she walked me through the whole service and really made me feel comfortable. You can tell she takes great pride in her work. I have been going here for the past 6 months and everything was going well, then I booked one last appointment to get a cut before my trip to maui. I pay the premium price point because I have always had troubles with getting a nice haircut. This place usually eliminates the stress and worry, but not this time. I wanted to squeeze in a last minute cut before the holidays, so i looked at the good reviews on yelp and scheduled an appointment. Here's my two cents: Pros: -Nice atmosphere: clean and comfortable waiting area -Nice product line offered e.g.: Aveda -Convenient scheduling using yelp Cons: -Yikes, i have a pretty standard cut, short on sides and trimmed on top. The hair cut lacked detail and was not shaped well. The "extras" like back of the neck shave and scalp massage are nice features, but don't justify a much higher price than the average. -The prices are exorbitant. I paid $46 for a 20 minute haircut (without tip)! Think about it, that's $138/hour. I do very well, but this is ridiculous for a standard cut. I'll take a slightly less comfortable ambiance for a better haircut all day long. Won't be back. Nothing special. They offer a premium product on their website, but did a minimum viable hair cut. Cut was OK, again, nothing special. I can get it at super cuts for half of the price. What I didn't really enjoy was "the customer experience". Here are the reasons : 1- Wash was very "tough" and fast, I felt like I got my hair scrubbed and my scalp mopped. I expect here delicate hands (again, based on what I'm paying) 2- hair cut process was very similar, got some pain from the hair brush on the scalp. Did not mention anything because, again, based on what I'm paying, these should be basic 101 hair cuts when you're trained. 3- they seem to work based on the time package you purchase and that's the reason of the lack of touch and toughness when cutting or washing. I'm giving three stars because I want to believe this was an isolated case where the person that cut my hair is individually accountable, and not the saloon. In general check in and check out were ok. Also, I landed here because I did struggle to get an appointment with my usual saloon, so "on me" for experimenting based on digital marketing and nice pictures . I had a bad experience at the Redmond location but the Mill Creek Weldon has been so much better. Betty has cut my hair a handful of times now and has done a pretty great job. I have difficult hair to cut well (been told this by countless barbers) but each time she has gotten better which I really appreciate. She is a solid barber. Today she also explained to me what she was doing and different options I could try in the future which was great. One time I didn't like how long she left a certain part of my hair and she took the time to recut it. Super nice of her. I took one star off, not because of the cuts or service I've received, but because the prices are really high. I paid $47 today (plus tip) for the cheaper "timesaver" haircut. From one star to five due to the phenomenal customer service in responding to my dissatisfaction regarding my cut. I was offered a refund AND the opportunity to have a master barber fix my hair. The owner contacted me immediately and even continued the conversation over the weekend to ensure I was satisfied. I always hate that dye mark that shows up on your scalp... She was awesome and when she finished you couldn't tell it had been done today. A customer for years and one frustration with this establishment is knowing who is cutting your hair. Disappointed that the experience is dramatically different depending on what barber you get assigned to. I just recently visited the Mill Creek location and received the most disappointing haircut. First, I don't have a complicated hair style or cut request. Literally I just asked for a 1 on the side (fade) and a scissor cut on top and a beard trim. I requested a 1/4 inch cut off the top and here's what I got...over 3/4 of my hair on top was cut so now my hair on top is extremely short (making me look like I'm in the military). Also, my beard trim was not a $50 experience more like a $5. My beard was cut down to make me look like I wear a chin strap beard, which I did not request. I have never had someone cut my beard down that thin when I didn't ask for that, and then get charged $50 for it. On top of all of that, the experience was completely rushed, I've previously visited this location and was assigned to another barber and had a great experience. It seems to be a luck of the draw thing, but I must say I don't appreciate paying $100 for services that I wouldn't pay $20 for again. read more

I go to see kasandra (kasi) for my hair and my wife's hair. She takes the time to make our haircuts perfect. My wife feels so relaxed and calmed during her wonderful washes and cuts that she falls asleep. I've never found a single mistake in her haircuts. I can trust that she cares about how I style my hair and how important my hair is to me. She is so friendly and sweet. We never have to wait long and never feel rushed. This is where I go to get my haircuts. I could just as well save $5-10 going to Hair Masters or something similar but at Weldon you get several somethings extra. This is a men's salon (a.k.a. barber) which means the styling is not foo-foo and the product for sale is geared towars men. You can get a quick haircut, however thier "signature" includes a VERY nice hot-towel treatment, a "scalp massage" (which means a hair washing, taking thier time), and neck shaving with a straight rasor. I have had my haircut at this location a couple of times with decent results. This is only reason why I gave this a second star. I scheduled a time-saver hair cut most recently to ensure I could save time and be out of there in an orderly fashion as I had appointments of my own to get to. I arrived at the appointment 10 minutes early. Upon arriving, I was told my hairdresser would be right with me. Excellent, I don't mind waiting as I was quite early. At exactly my appt time, I was again told she would be right out. Not a problem, things get busy and I don't mind waiting a few minutes. However 25 minutes then go by without explanation. Feeling I had been patient enough and having appointments to get to (seeing as I try to keep my appointment times), I left. Had one person come up to me and said, "the hairdresser is running late, do you mind waiting or would you like to reschedule?" that would have been perfectly reasonable. I could have moved my appts or scheduled this for another day. Instead an hour of my time was wasted, including my travel here, and no explanation provided. I may be blowing this out of proportion, and I apologize if I am. I received my haircut from here a few weeks ago. When I first arrived, I was told to sit down before my stylist would work with me. I watched other customers get checked in and asked if they wanted something to drink. I was not asked that. Though it is not a big deal, here is the beginning of a horrible experience with Weldon Barber. I enjoyed my experience getting the haircut but I had told my stylist that I've been having horrible experiences with stylists from so many salons. I even mentioned a story where a stylist cut the middle of my sideburns and missed out on the bottom so I came home to find out of this. Overall, the stylist did an awesome job with my haircut until I got home. My stylist who is the manager of Weldon Barber missed the bottom of my sideburns. You would think that after I mentioned a story of a stylist missing my sideburns like that, she would get the idea to double check that idea. She didn't I came home to find out that there were five long hairs on each side of my face at the bottom of my sideburn that was not cut. So first thing first, I sent an email to Weldon Barber in general in regards to my bad experience. No response. A few days passed and I'm infuriated with no followup that I personally emailed the manager at Weldon Barber. The manager responded with apologies to my experience and then mentioned she would provide a free haircut in regards to my experience. I gladly accepted the offer and told her I'd accept it but it has been a week to two weeks and she has not yet responded to this email. Customer service here is horrible. I would not recommend this barber to anyone. You think for the amount you pay that you'd get quality service but that is not the case with Weldon Barber. Not even the manager does a decent job. I had been to so many different places to get my sons hair done. And even those "kid friendly" places don't seem so friendly to my 3 year old. Decided to try this place and see Kassie based off other reviews and the Weldon Mill Creek instagram account that shows a lot of her work. We came in, and I'll never take my son anywhere else. She was so patient and gentle with my son. Most everywhere we've had to rush a haircut because he wasn't comfortable and his hair had always looked just kinda butchered and chipped at. Kassie made him so excited to be there and FUN, that we were able to get his hair fully even, a hard part and even a fade!!!! On my wiggly 3 year old!!!!! She didn't just push him to get his cut but rather spend the time showing and explaining everything she was doing. My fiancé now goes to her (she has a short cut with a fade as well) and we seriously can not recommend KASSIE enough! So many friends have seen her and we are amazed but each and every cut that leaves her chair. She's patient and listens to exactly what you want, but also will help direct you as well.
