The hair lady that I was going to was amazing but she was off the same days I was off so I never got to see her and my hair was SOOO needing some love! I booked with Sydney and she was so frickin sweet from start to finish. Conversation was easy and didn't feel forced at all. She gave me a lot of reassurance and kept reminding me that she would try her best to get me to the color that I wanted without melting my hair off but that it would probably be a couple visits. That was totally understandable but the amount of times she told me made me so sad because that just tells me that someone or some people in the past have probably been upset with their results but come on people! Hair takes time and money and if your hair wants to cooperate, awesome. If not, be patient because this girl (and any other hair stylist) does not want their ass on the line if your hair does end up melting away! lol. Anyway, since my first visit in November '18, I've been back a few times to get it touched up and it's pleasant every time. The salon is so cute and I hope Sydney never leaves because she's seriously the best!! Book with her, y'all. I wore my hair in that same color for a few afternoons. I changed the hair color back after a few days because of some of the nastier comments I was getting from the locals who are senior citizens. I recommend taking a look at a few fashion magazines or bring a picture of the hairstyle(s) you are considering. Lisa had a problem with scheduling one afternoon... so I called to confirm my appointment at a different time. I thought it was because of her kid... it wasn't apparently Carl had gotten into something he shouldn't have... again. I wonder how Carl is doing now. Also,... Lisa will wash your hair and maybe give you a gloss treatment if you need one. I asked about special hairstyles for functions and parties while I was there so you'll know before you go. Lisa can do a few special hairstyles.... just request one a few hours before you need it done. I recommend making your appointment for before 4:30 PM as there are more appointments available earlier in the day or afternoon. I like the way the salon was set up before about 2000. I'm not sure what it looks like inside now though. I have recommended Lisa's skill set to many of my former friends who wanted a quick fix for their haircutting woes (or problems). Lisa is like a magician when it is with straight hairstyles. I've watched some of her clients leave happy for a few years (before I left Port Townsend, Washington).
