I'm sad to be writing this review, but I feel it's important to make others aware of my experience with their combo package (1-hour body massage plus regular manicure and pedicure). When I sat down for the manicure and pedicure, I informed the person working on my toes that I tend to get ingrown nails. However, when she started trimming my big toe, she immediately cut too deeply into the side of the nail. It was very painful, and I said "ouch" right away. Her response was simply that she needed to cut my nails. I explained that it hurt and that I normally don't have issues during nail trimming, but she proceeded to do the same on the other toe. She did not apologize and then switched with another person to continue the service. I did appreciate the massage, which was done by someone else. Because of that, I still chose to tip, as I wanted to acknowledge the person who did the massage. When I got home, my big toe was still in pain, and I couldn't even wear closed-toe shoes. Additionally, my fingernails were poorly polished, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, despite the good massage, I would not return or recommend this place. I left with a painful toe injury, and overall, the experience did not meet expectations. read more

I tried the foot reflexology massage for the first time, and it was really nice! They have about six massage tables in the back and there aren't privacy screens between them, but you stay fully clothed the entire time. If you're getting the foot massage, make sure you wear bottoms that can be pulled up to your knees, because they also massage your calves. I didn't know this, but they had a pair of shorts I could change into, which was nice! If you are ticklish when getting a pedicure, this experience will be no different. I'm very ticklish during the foot scrubbing part and the scraping tool she used on the bottom of my feet felt good, but ticklish at the same time haha. Overall, it was a nice relaxing massage and my feet felt great afterwards. The street noise isn't that bad honestly, but if you're looking for a completely silent massage where you don't want to hear anyone else, then you'll need to go to a different business. read more

Saw a review posted that stated, "It wasn't the worst massage I've ever had but it was a very close second." Unfortunately, this was also my experience. I did call same day for a 60 minute deep tissue reflexology appointment I was shocked to be able to get in. Parking was very easy on Divis mid-day. It was very loud inside from the street noises and there was light music in the background. The foot massage itself was not good, I was so disappointed :( The massage was extremely light pressure and basically just felt like someone rubbing a coat of lotion on my foot over and over. It really did absolutely nothing for me but put me in a sour mood because my feet were very sore and I was looking forward to pampering myself and relaxing. I try so hard to write upbeat/positive reviews but I also would like to warn people. Apparently there is a good mani/pedi in this space and I hear good reviews for that but I could not recommend the foot massage/reflexology. I just got the best pedicure from Ai Linh! Quick, attentive and thorough. You know that feeling when someone really takes care to do it as if they were doing their own feet? It felt like that. Worst massage I've ever gotten. My partner and I booked 60 min back neck and shoulder massage. They didn't bother to confirm the service when we got there, I assumed they had it written down, and gave us a full-body massage which barely touched my neck and back. Weird rubbing on my arms and legs. Maybe 10 minutes max on my back over towels. My partner had bruises on his neck afterwards. They offered a 10% discount for the services, and when we showed them the bruises, they said it was normal and didn't even offer an apology. I've been to many massages and never came out with bruises. I felt gaslight and very upset. Never coming back here again. I felt the same going in and out. read more

I'm someone who regularly gets massages because of chronic back pain. Recently moved to SF and I really wish I had read the reviews first. Booked a half hour neck, back, and shoulder "massage", if you can even call it that, and it was pretty bad. Doing the "massage" over the clothes AND with a blanket on top does not massage out any knots. Also the face hole for this massage table was significantly smaller than most massage tables and I have TMJ and it really hurt and I felt like it was choking me. They also made me wait ten whole minutes even though no one else was there. Not even worth $45. read more

I went in for a 60 min massage and mani/pedi. The mani/pedi was super basic, they didn't even cut or push back my cuticles. Pedi they didn't clean my toenails. It was definitely an "Express" experience. The massage was GREAT though, I fell asleep! You are fully clothed but did great to relax me and feel refreshed. It was around $115 with tips. I've never written a bad review before. I'm so bummed that this place didn't work out. I just moved into the neighborhood so decided to try walking in on this place to get an eyebrow wax. It was awful. The waxing lady looked like she had just showed up to work and had to get ready before taking me. When she did do my eyebrows it was SO sloppy. She got wax in my hair and also on the eyebrow. I told her I had eyebrow pencil in my eyebrows and she didn't bother taking it off. Most places I go to will wipe my eyebrows first. She just went straight in with the wax stick. Because she didn't take the makeup off, she ended up taking a chunk of hair out of my eyebrow. So disappointed. read more

Loved my experience here! Let me explain what you're getting... the massage experience was perfect for someone like me... I'm not big on massages... I don't like getting undressed and deep pressure usually hurts. At Divis, the environment is cute and quiet, but there are a few massage tables lined up, you don't get undressed, you just get a really nice massage. The nail portion isn't a crazy loud nail salon. Don't come here if you want artificial nails with the sanding drills, etc. This was just a really nice manicure and pedicure. They even have Butter of London nail polish. There are three chairs and they bring out the tubs to soak your feet. All in all... this was a really nice way to spend the afternoon! read more

These marvelous people have saved my foot!! I had foot surgery in August and then was a total slacker who didn't do PT. Was pretty faithful to this Salon during Covid. It is a very clean place and they have really comfortable massage beds. The owner can be pretty uptight and if something doesn't go right it seems more about how she feels than the customer. She did my eyebrows and I specifically said repeatedly please do NOT use scissors to cut my eyebrows just wax them. I look up and she was cutting my eyebrows! When I was dismayed I felt like I had to soothe her rather than her doing anything like apologizing for not listening to me or refunding the money. Anyway it has been months and I am still waiting to grow out my eyebrows. Her daughter said to me oh trust me they look great -that is how you are supposed to do it. This place is an absolute gem. I've come twice now for the 60 min neck, shoulder, back massage and both times have consistently been amazing. Both times I've been able to make same day appointments during the weekday through ClassPass. This is a no frills massage experience, where you actually wear your clothes and they massage you over a blanket. But don't get me wrong, you can still feel all the pressure and get the muscle relaxation, although I'd recommend wearing thin, comfortable athletic wear. I also recommend coming during the weekday or when they're not as busy for massages because the space is totally open to the mani/pedi and reception area so you can hear all commotion and some street noise as well. Although for the price and quality of the massages I still find it totally worth it and relaxing. Would love to try one of their reflexology services next time. Enjoy! read more

The most un - relaxing garbage foot message i've ever endured. the woman started my hour foot massage by using the same motion over and over up my calf; fine you're not into your job...then it would stop for like 2 minutes altogether because she's at the front door talking with a customer!!! this happened 3 times, same hasty, oddly painful rub up my inner calf, for 2-3 minutes then back to the front desk, then back to for a lame yet slight variation on the same now irritating motion. noticing a light, i peer thru the linty terry cloth towel m...she's texting with one hand and 'massaging' with the other!!! i gave an awkward wtf laugh, she just awkwardly chuckles back. so pathetic. halfway thru i notice the pressure is altogether different, maybe a little better and surprise it's another person altogether, a young man. he just rubs my calf, barely touches my feet, let alone the usual peripheral points. avoid this place at all costs. 55.0 down the drain read more

It wasn't the worst massage I've ever had but it was a very close second. I opted for the 40 minute foot massage and 20 minute back - $50, which is a great deal. The foot massage: he spent about 5 minutes or more on each of my calves/shins, just quickly rubbing his hand up and down with lotion as if he were shining a shoe or something. Then spent WAY too much time on the top of each foot - as in, not the part that actually ever touches the ground. The part that is all bone. Pretty sure that a foot massage should focus on your arches, the ball of your foot, your heel.... The parts that get sore from walking and contain muscle. He did cover those but in the same fashion as my shins - mostly just hastily rubbing his hand back and forth for so long that all it did was get hot from the repetition and did absolutely nothing else. When I had a moment I took a peek at the massage happening next to me, and the guy doing that foot massage was also rubbing the top of the guy's feet. The upper back massage was done by someone else, and was better than the foot massage for sure. Not great but better. Also kind of weird that they switch out masseuses. I actually didn't even know until the massage was over (they switched while I was face down). I generally avoid writing negative reviews, especially given that small businesses need all the help they can get. But this experience was so poor that I think people deserve to know when deciding where to spend their money. read more

The spa is neat and the people are very sweet, however I asked for the 90min neck, back, and foot massage and it ended in 70 minutes - this is the kind of unprofessionalism which annoys me a lot. Also, the woman who did the face and neck massage was awful - not sure she is even a masseuse. Wore gloves and just awkwardly rubbed cetaphil on my face till I had to ask her to stop and then touched my hair and then back to my face - terrible!! The man who did the foot and back was a lot better but not amazing (the 2 stars are for him). I ended up paying $80 for a 70 min massage of which the first half was quite bad. I wish this had been a better experience because they're all very sweet - maybe I will try a mani-pedi but this is not a good spot for a massage. Disappointed :( read more

Overall it was a good massage, but not exactly what I ordered. The name of the 90-minute massage that I ordered was called Head, foot, neck. There was foot, and there was neck, but there was no head. Instead, like so many other massages, you get what they give you regardless of what you order. The massage therapist spent at least 35 minutes on my back which was not part of the plan. Rather than try to correct him and explain, I just went with it. He did a good job on the back, but I don't understand why massage therapists can't follow specific, precise instructions. read more

A new gem in the neighborhood! This is a family run salon that recently opened on Divisadero. The inside of the salon is tastefully and cleanly designed. There are 3 chairs in the front for nail services (natural or gel) and they offer OPI and Butter (London). The heart of the salon holds 4 sections divided by clear walls. Each section has very comfortable and new leather recliners for reflexology. My masseuse was gentle but thorough. I love that they use Cetaphil unscented lotion. The owner told me she wanted to offer affordable reflexology prices so that the neighbors will become frequent customers. I can't wait to go back! read more

I'd give 5 stars for the massage as it was a good deal and even though they do massage through a towel for your back the pressure was really very good. The owner is super nice and I really liked the vibe of this place not to mention it's nice and new so very clean. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because I had a really young girl do my pedicure and I can definitely see a line of my old polish on the edge of my big toes. Most places really get in there to remove old polish before painting on top. I am probably going to go back for a reflexology and facial combo as I think the deals are really worthwhile. I'd recommend trying it it seems like a really great neighborly place. Also the foot scrub they used smells super yummy and they have actual lemons and things in the foot soak. read more
