Burger and regular fries
Chase M.

From the moment I opened the door I knew the food was going to be amazing. To keep the review short I'll get straight to the point, everything was spot on, from the chicken , to the fries, to the sauce, and the recommendations, the execution was second to none. Now to elaborate a little bit more, upon walking in you get hit was a splendid aroma of Italian spices and fresh dough, I knew we were going to the right spot. My buddy and I quickly made our way to the bar eager for a drink and some good food. Brandon greeted us and immediately got down to business telling us about their Italian spin on the classic burger as well as a customer favorite chicken saltimbocca (a seasonal special). Boy was Brandon spot on. The burger was one of my favorites in all of Boise. It's not your average burger, it's jam packed with flavor and spice. I am not entirely sure of what they put on it but it reminds me of a pepper Italian salsa, the flavors combined very well with the meat. The fries are thick cut and remind me of a combination between a thick fry and a potato chip, it's probably my favorite cut I've ever tried. Great potato to crust ratio and just the right crunch to them. As for the chicken saltimbocca that was a first for me, and after that first impression I will be going back this week to have it again! The cheese, mash potato, and chicken combination was splendid. The mash potatoes were rich and thick!! There wasn't a single bite left behind on either plate. Not only was the food splendid but the atmosphere created by both the bartender Kayla and other employees like Brandon was second to none. Everyone sitting at the bar that night became friends and the laughter we all shared added to a wonderful day. I highly recommend this place for any type of date night or if you're looking for a good eat!

Our server Brayden was amazing and so attentive and delightful to chat with. On top of that the food was delicious too. Really great ambiance as well.

Pollo parmagiana

Friendly, prompt service and large portions-which helped us feel better about the price. We wanted to try this place based on the great reviews. After trying two pasta dishes, I would say the focaccia on the side ended up being our favorite part. Lovely presentation, but the marinara seemed to miss the mark for us. Our sauce was fairly bland and reminded us of the kind you would get out of a jar at the grocery store. After working in an Italian restaurant (in a past life), I will say this place has a great venue, but I think the Olive Garden would win when it came to our pollo parmagiana. The pizza looked a bit more promising, so we might try that next time.

I don't really give five stars that easily especially not to an Italian restaurant but I'm definitely giving one today! First I'll start with the location. Always a treat to go to Bown Crossing because for some odd reason it makes me feel like I'm on vacation outside of Boise. It's a small little getaway right outside Boise State University and it's open and Airy and quiet. Much quieter than downtown Boise these days!! Ti Amo also has an outdoor patio and when the weather is gorgeous outside there's nothing like sitting outside to eat and I was lucky enough that day to have outstanding weather! The one thing that stood out the absolute most to me, was the service. First and foremost my waiter greeted me immediately with a smile, and knelt down near my table to create a relationship right off the bat! He was knowledgeable of the food, very friendly, had a bubbly personality and answered all of my questions and then some. Forgive me as I don't remember his name but I'm pretty sure it began with a "B". He was smart engaging, professional, funny and very attentive without being overbearing. I ordered the crispy zucchini with Shaved Parmesan and it was served with a spicy Aioli of sorts and marinara sauce. I am a New Englander and I'm Italian and I have to say that was some of the best fried zucchini I've ever had in my life!!! It was a very generous portion and I ended up taking some to go because I couldn't finish it all nor would I dare,;-)!!! I also ordered a gorgeous cocktail made from cucumber, lemon, gin and some other amazing items that I can't remember right now! But it was delicious! I was torn between ordering the tortellini with prosciutto and peas as I love that combination and the spicy shrimp and mushroom stuffed gnocchi, and decided on the ladder. I guess I'll have to go back and try the other dish ASAP! I make it at home but with olive oil and garlic and white wine so I'm curious to try the creamy version of it. The shrimp were huge and there were like six of them I think, and the gnocchi we're round which I imagine lended well to the stuffing them. In all my years of eating and cooking Italian cuisine, I've never seen them stuffed before but they were good and they weren't super heavy like a lot of potato gnocchi can be. There were similar to the ricotta version that I actually make at home. Like little fluffy pillows. The marinara sauce was very very good, not too sweet or acidic and had a good texture as well. The absolute only thing I would say is that the red hot chili flakes were a plenty and they kind of messed with the texture of the sauce. Usually when I create a marinara sauce I put them in while the sauce is cooking and it becomes soft and I only put a small amount and there was a lot in the dish which made it nice and spicy which was great, but just kept bighting into something hard and then I realized that's what it was! Other than that the dish was beautiful it came out with a very large sprig of Basil which maybe was a bit unnecessary but it was impactful visually. I just broke it up and spread it around the dish and it was perfectly fine. It is my birthday week so I decided to splurge and get myself a shot of espresso and some homemade tiramisu which I was treated by the waiter with. I think that the flavor profile for this dessert was very good and on point but the only thing I thought was that the mascarpone was a little bit heavy and not as light and fluffy as some of the more custard reversions I have eaten in the past, but it was very delicious. The flavors were amazing! All in all I was absolutely impressed that I could get Italian food this good in Boise if I'm being transparent. I've lived here for 11 years but like I said I grew up eating and making Italian and I'm writing a cookbook right now as well, so I think I'm a pretty good judge! I give them five stars all around because they delivered the food the portions were great, the place was spotless clean and stylish and their weight staff was absolutely impeccable!!! Fantastic experience and I thank you! What a way to start out my birthday week!

Wedge Salad (half portion)

Tried Ti Amo on New Year's Eve. We were able to get a little earlier reservation which was nice. First the good - we were seated quickly - although they put us by the door and it was quite cold so we were able to move to a table further inside the restaurant. Service was very good and prompt, food came out quickly. We really liked the fact there's a 50% off happy hour until 5:30pm and the pizzas were $15 on Tuesdays! Our drinks were very good, and they have a great selection of cocktails and beers. Had the Baked Goat Cheese as an app, very tasty. Also the wedge salad was great, and they split one for us which was good as the split portion was still quite large. The Tiramisu for dessert was also very good. As for the not so good, I would say the pizza was good but not great. A little too over crisped for our tastes, we were expecting a more Napolese style which these aren't. I wouldn't have pizza if I go back, I would probably go with some pasta and give that a try.

Delish!!! 5 stars

The last time I ate here, I really enjoyed our meal so I knew I was in store for a good lunch. I arrived first. I hung out for a bit. Raylyn (sp) greeted me and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I had a flavored water so I content for the moment. My friend finally showed up shortly after. We got started on the foccacia bread and olive oil/balsamic dip. The bread was good but it wasn't warm like the previous time. It was nicely seasoned and buttery on top. The olive oil/balsamic dip is so good with it! We breezed over the menu while we were enjoying the bread. Raylyn came and took our order. We ordered some fried mozzarella to share. For lunch I got a side of meatballs and my friend got the chicken parm on pasta with a side salad. The fried mozzarella was so good! The piece of mozzarella that was fried was so thick! I had a fourth of one of the cheesesticks. I didn't want to get too full when I still had meatballs coming. My meatballs were so good! It was generously covered in their marinara sauce. It was rich in tomato with a slight heat to it, so good! My friend's chicken parm pasta was a generous portion! I probably could have made 3 meals off of his plate. He enjoyed the chicken of course and had some of the pasta. We couldn't end lunch without some birthday dessert so my friend got some cannolis started. This is my first time trying a cannoli and woooooow! It was so good! The cream in the middle had a orange flavor to it with some chocolate chips. The exterior of the cannoli was crunchy and sweet. The ends were dipped in semi sweet chocolate and was so good! I probably could have polished 2 more but I was so full from lunch. Next time I'm going to just have the bread and cannolis. That dessert was perfection. Lunch was fabulous today. Our food and dessert were divine. Raylyn did a marvelous job taking care of us! She was kind, attentive and is great at customer service. I can't stop thinking of those cannolis and I look forward to coming back soon to have some more!

Flavors felt a bit flat, and for the price point, I was expecting something more refined or at least more balanced. Service was also inconsistent. Our server seemed friendly but stretched thin, It didn't feel like anyone was really paying attention to the table. They seems to be paying attention on the phone than the table. And they seem really rush us out when they were only 8.30 pm when they close at 10 pm not sure why they keep asking if we need a box and put down the check right after we got our food. That is the description of what I ordered for their handmade fresh pasta rigatoni that I got. Let me just say that all these flavors that they put into one dish were absolutely amazing. I really did not think they needed to have the spinach and mushrooms. Because the lemon crema and the Gorgonzola cheese were absolute phenomenal the braze beef was just to die for. This is a very small restaurant and there's only so many tables to get. I was able to sit at the bar which Aisha was the bartender. He did an amazing job and really helped lead me to my order of ordering the rigatoni. I had a beer with dinner and I did not order dessert. She was drawn to this location not only due the reviews but that they had the option of accommodating those with dietary restrictions. We were all excited to be there for the food but to also celebrate her. Booking the tables was quite an ordeal, but we managed. Unfortunately, at last minute, she learned that two members of her family that were supposed to attend, elected not to. As she did not find out until later in the day, she would not have been able to provide adequate time to contact them to let them now of the changes. I do want to share that overall, the experience was fantastic. Justin was a great server and the food and drinks were delicious. We did not get pictures of everything, but we ordered the following: Bucatini alle Vongole, Rigatoni, Blood Orange Bellini, (non-alcoholic) Limoncello Spritz, Lemon-Raspberry Tiramisu, and Pistachio Florentine Cannoli. I checked in with the others in our party, and they also indicated that the food was fantastic and the service wonderful. The concern we had was how some of our party was treated. This occurred on the evening on Friday, May 8, 2026. As mentioned, two members of her family elected not to join at the last minute. My friend and her wife relayed this to the hostess. My friend offered to try to squeeze into the booth with her other family members. The hostess then looked her and her family members up and down (with her face distorted in judgement), and said "you can try." My friend and her wife elected to sit at another table with two of her friends leaving the other table that had been reserved available (which was filled within 20 minutes by another party). This hostess then went over to the table where my friend is sitting and places her hand on the table, but I could not discern what was said. I find that type of behavior abhorrent. It is not only distasteful, but also makes patrons wonder if that is how this restaurant, this business, is run. If she is the first person you encounter, the face of this restaurant, the first impression - it does not bode well. There are some that may read this and think I am exaggerating, but I did note earlier, that the rest of our service was wonderful and the food divine. I do hope that whoever at the restaurant does monitor these reviews, really takes this feedback into consideration as I am sure that they do not want to be known as a space that shames patrons.

Since there are enough of us who had all around miserable experiences with the previous owners and said "never again", this comment is for others know that now is the time to come back. The ownership transition seems to have happened sometime after November of last year. If you check the website you'll see the "about" part of it is still about Vincenzo. I recommend the new owners change that to indicate this young couple is now at the helm. The menu, largely pasta, is about the same and with price points running from roughly $23 to $27 for them. Antipasti (cold and hot) start at about $13 for a salad to $23 for fried calamari and shrimp. The owner mentions that they plan to put the pizza oven in the space (see my long ago taken photo) to work as a pizza oven. (To now in the old ownership days it was used to finish bread.) Additions are also planned for for the menu. You will still need a reservation. The access problems from before are the same now. But the entire vibe of the place under the new ownership clearly including a skilled chef, will refresh your appetite to eat at this trattoria if it was ruined by the previous owners.

I wasn't expecting them to wait but I'm happy that they did! The drinks and apps kept them at bay till we arrived. The venue is stunning! I love the decor here. I have always been intrigued with European vintage decor and this restaurant is beautifully devoted decorated with this kind of esthetic. Such a romantic setting. The rich deep red wall. The ornate vintage frames. The plants. It's truly a beautiful set up. After my husband and I got settled in and drinks ordered, we got dinner placed. I got 2 orders of meatballs and my husband got the seafood pasta. While food was being worked on, everyone shared the bread and balsamic olive oil dip that was on the table. I heard the bread was good. I didn't get a chance to try it since it was communal. Our meals were slowly trickling out. My meatballs looked amazing! My husband's plate looked fabulous. You can see the shrimp, mussels, clams.... We all became quiet and started on our meals. My meatballs were huge! I have had meatballs at other restaurants and have been hungry still. The size of these babies let me know I was not going to have that issue. It was nicely covered in marinara. A hearty covering of parmesan. Everything about the meatballs were great! I have severe fomo so of course I had to try my husband's plate. I tried a couple of his penne. I was really thrown back at the heat of the sauce. I tried another bite and it was still spicy. The spice was something neither one of us were expecting. Before I say anything to our server, I did look over the menu to see if we missed anything in the description of the dish. No chili was listed. Nothing about it being garnished with chili flakes. From reading the menu, no spice was described in the dish. My husband has a real sensitive pallet so I asked the manager/owner why spice wasn't indicted in the menu. We wouldn't have ordered it if there was. The manager said they can remove the sauce and add new sauce that didn't have chili flakes in it. "It would make it less spicy." I was actually surprised he didn't suggest a new dish that didn't have heat in it. We were complaining about the heat and I honestly don't think replacing sauce that has spice in it with new sauce with spice will do anything.... but hey, we went with it. The second dish was made and dropped off. Unfortunately, the sauce was still spicy and my husband could barely eat it. He ate the seafood which was a few pieces of shrimp, clams, bay scallops, mussels and fish. This dish was drowned in this sauce so there was no way to eat the seafood with the sauce. This dish is 34 bucks and my husband could barely finish the seafood. Our server was kind and got me birthday dessert. The chocolate cake was killer good! It wasn't overly sweet. The frosting was rich in chocolate and the cake was super moist. I only took a couple bites and took the rest home. I was not going to leave this bad boy behind. We spent a little over 70 dollars on dinner to have my husband leave hungry. I came home and made him a second dinner. Nothing more disappointing than spending that much money just to come home and eat again. Money is tight for everyone so the fact that we chose to come here and spend our heard earned money to have my husband hungry just makes my heart sad. Overall, my meatballs and cake were good. Service was great. The venue is very pretty. But, having my husband eat a meal that was poorly described in the menu is just disappointing and having him leave husband is upsetting. I'm happy I got to try it out but I don't think we will be hitting up this joint again any time soon.

But when it did finally come out, it so looked great. My soup was just as amazing as the first time I had it. I enjoyed the clams, muscles, and potatoes. It was rich and creamy. It was an excellent cup of soup. Our food started to trickle out slowly. I didn't get a chance to see my husband's chicken parmesan sandwich last time we were there so I can see why he wanted to order it again. The bread was fresh. The piece of chicken was generous and had a good amount of sauce on it. It was hot and savory. I enjoyed the couple bites that I took. The pizza we ordered was half cheese half pineapple. It was deep dish and the cheese was nicely melted all over the pie. After taking my first bite, I had to ask for extra marinara sauce. The pizza was all crust and no sauce. It was dry and needed the extra marinara on the side. I only had one slice, it was just too dense for me. We finished dinner and got our left overs boxed up. I thought our server was going to bring a birthday dessert for my nephew. He was told about the dessert and we hung out till we were over it. My nephew said he didn't need it so we decided it was time to head out. I'm happy we came and supported this local joint for my nephew's birthday. It's important that we support local owners. But overall service was ok for me. The large gaps in time waiting wasn't appealing. The pizza is something I wouldn't order again. The chicken parmesan sammy was decent. The clam chowder was killer and would be something I'd order again. Since we were basically here a week apart, I don't see us coming back anytime soon. But if we do, I'll just stick to what I had originally wanted.

So close by my hotel this doorway leaked my curiosity. I walked into a small bar adjacent to the…read moredining room of this long time local Italian spot. The bar is small, but mighty! The spirits shelf is more than decent! Even some real nice upper shelf choices. Look closely at my photos. The bar top shows its age with all the charm of a summer camp picnic table, complete with initials carved into the weathered oak wood. The young gal, Gianna serving was pleasant and it's nice to see some work ethic in the younger generation. She was able to engage in conversation as I enjoyed my cocktails.
