Amazing food!!! Recently moved to seabrook and have been craving Mexican food. Found Habaneros and decided to give it a try. Absolute Cinema! The tacos were great and the quesabirrias were amazing! I loved the refried beans (and I'm not the biggest fan of beans) and the customer service was great! My gf also mentioned the complimentary charro beans were phenomenal! I did not want to leave Texas without eating a taco or a dish that was Texas. I called to place an order, and I was asked to call back in 10-15 minutes because there was a line. I wasn't sure what to make of the request, but hung up. I told my husband about the phone call and he was less than thrilled. Based on the reviews, I thought there was great potential for a good meal. We drove to the restaurant, and as soon as I stepped inside, I understood what was meant about the line forming. In order to place your order, you must get in line. There's one individual taking orders. At the time we arrived, there was no line and no one inside. We asked a few questions for clarification and dietary advice. I ordered one of their specials with beans. My husband ordered an egg dish with beans and corn tortillas. We were asked if we wanted a drink, we said no, and the nice gentleman asked if we wanted water cups, to which we replied no. I had purchased several drinks the night before, as such we had several beverages in the rental car. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of my dish. It was exactly what I thought of when I think of Mexican food. Great beans and rice. All around tasty food. My husband had the Caribbean omelette. I had an enchilada dish. If you're in the Seabrook area, this taco spot was sooo good. We ordered the chicken quesadilla plate and a taco plate. I had chicken tinga and brisket. I would order the chicken tinga again. The brisket was ok. Everything tasted so good y'all!! They also have red salsa, salsa verde and habanero salsa. That habanero will have to tasting the spice in the back of ya throat!! We also ordered the plantain and the churros. Both were delicious. I'm glad I tried the food here will be back again. Also, they have charro beans for u to eat (self serve) while u wait for ur food. My husband and I just went to Habanero's tacos for a late lunch. The place is super clean, and you can feel you're in an authentic taqueria, not just for decor and utensils but for the great smell coming from their kitchen. The menu has a great variety of taco meats, 21 to be exact, we tried 3. Before ordering they offered us free frijoles charros, which is a bean soup, it was fantastic, it is always appreciated. We ordered one barbacoa taco, one cochinita, and one steak a la Mexicana taco. The barbacoa was delicious, so tender and flavorful, the cochinita also great flavor, and they have this taco sauces, my favorite one was the jalapeño which is the green one, with the cochinita? Goes perfect! The steak taco was very tender and the onion was almost caramelized, so good. We also had quesabirrias, the meat was tasty and tender, filled with cheese and the beef consomé was delicious, this dish comes with refried beans, and rice, loved the beans! This is a cool taco place in the Seabrook area. A large variety of all different type of tacos along with several other plate dishes. A huge plus for serving breakfast items all day long. The staff is very friendly. The dining room is very clean, well kept, and they even have a few tables for outside seating. Prices and taco sizes were fair. Steak is good but need a bit more flavor. Pastor tacos were on point. Thought the breakfast tacos were delicious. The migas plate was also a good item. Love the 3 different flavors of salsa to pick. Complimentary beans also served to customers. You can tell the locals like this place during the lunch hour. I enjoyed such a wide variety menu from such a low key spot. A group of 8 of us had late lunch/early dinner at this place while visiting Houston from out of state. We arrived super hungry and left very happy and full! The food was yummy, fresh, hot and just about the right portion. Because it was super tasty, I could have eaten more :) The service was amazing. I found this place on google. Decided to try it out and was in search for an authentic Mexican place to eat. The outside was cute. The inside was small it was a quite Saturday afternoon. The food was amazing, I got the taco platter and I was very pleased with the portion size. The tacos filled me up so fast I wish I could of ate more. The rice was season perfectly. The chips were fresh and crispy and the seasoning on it was so good I wish the put more. The salas was good I never had salsa like that before. The sauce the good I like the jalapeño one that's as far as my spice level I can take. However my fiancé loved the spicy one his eyes was tearing so I know it was way to hot for me. Great friendly service! They offer free charro beans, I had the 3 tacos for 13.99 comes with rice and refried beans they were all delish! I had the blackened fish tacos and they were great not too salty, the shrimp tacos with a chipotle sauce they came battered but were great and the picadillo taco which was my favorite with their homemade salsa. All the tacos came with hefty amount of meat. Also they serve breakfast all day! I did have to purchase chips and salsa for 5$ but it was well worth it the salsa is this tomato base salsa which I put on everything my rice my tacos it was so good and not spicy! They had aguas frescas and the lemonade one was perfect not too sweet or sour. Will come back again to try other plates! read more

I have driven pass this restaurant for years and always wanted to try them out. My wife always said no till her birthday came and I pointed out that they had fish tacos. Now trust me that she is a fish taco aficionado. I remember having them freshly made from a street cart in Ensenada Mexico. She obviously ordered the fish taco plate. It came with 3 double fish tacos, refried beans, rice and salad. She really liked the rice and refried beans. The salad was meh. Now for the fish tacos. She said they were the worst ever! They were frozen and not fresh, very dry and the batter was very thick. Fish sticks are better. Now for my plate. I ordered the ceviche with a lime and lots of mini shrimps which was EXCELLENT. It came with chips and for .50 I added the dipping sauce which was a bit spicy. 24 hours later and I am still thinking about the cerviche!!! Our appetizer was chips and queso which my wife really liked. We were given 2 samples of their charro beans which were very tasty. They have habanero sauces from mild to extra hot. Trust me I love very hot sauces and this one was. I was disappointed that they would not sell me the extra hot sauce in the same serving bottle that they have on the table. I have a company party coming up that would have promoted them with their label. They offered unlabeled bottles which I didn't want. The service was outstanding. Very polite and friendly. You order at the counter and they bring the order to your table. The place was impeccably clean and they wore masks. I always check the bathroom and it was very clean but don't touch the light switch with exposed wiring. The bill was $36 which seemed high. Sweet little spot for authentic Mexican food! The menu is great with lots of interesting choices. We got enchiladas, pesole, and fish tacos! The tacos were very good with just the right amount of Clamato... not too much just a touch of flavor! Crisp and a good stack of fish! The pesole was different and good but not our favorite, however the kettle of bean soup offered with every entree was spectacular! The enchiladas were just alright. Ground beef could have been shredded beef and made all the difference. Service was good but I wish We spoke Spanish! This is like home cooking with your abuela! My first time here and I was really impressed by their food and service. I love I get to pick and choose what tacos I want so tried fish, shrimp and Al pastor. The shrimp was by far my favorite one. Also ordered birria quesadillas and those were amazing. Even though you order at the counter they do bring your food to the table and they checked up on us several times. This is quite a let down for a 4.5 Stars 400+ reviews restaurant. Came here 30 mins before they closed on. Sunday afternoon. My hubby and I ordered their supposed "best seller" tacos (at least according to the guy that took our order). The rice tasted like it's been scraped from the bottom of the pan or microwaved too long (it's very hard and dry). Taco meats are not seasoned at all. I lathered my meats with their sauces and that's about the only flavor I got. I hate giving such a negative review but from our experience, this is a bit overrated. read more

Two words: Breakfast Tacos. We had no idea breakfast tacos were a thing, but everyone kept telling us we had to find a place, and that's how we found Habaneros. Pick 2 from the menu, it's all you need. If you are super hungry, you could go for 3 but you probably won't need it. My favorite Yelper gave it a rave review, so we came expecting (and wanting) to love this place, but it was not to be. The staff were pleasant, friendly and accommodating. We decided to share a 3 taco plate -- two pork and a beef. The free charro beans were good but that was it. Both the pork and beef were dry and unsatisfying. It's something of a drive for us and given our experience we're unlikely to be back.
