I've always dreamt of getting a Korean style wedding dress, however, I am very aware that I am full figured which made me extremely nervous to go wedding dress shopping. What makes this boutique even more special is that you're able to rent a wedding dress along with a reception dress plus the veil and accessories (if needed)! I did some prior research before my appointment and I had seen some of her dresses online. I showed Sue the one that I was eyeing and she located it immediately along with another one that was similar in style. They were both Korean style dresses and though I barely fit into these dresses, Sue and her assistant was able to make it work so that my bridal party and I were able to get a good look at what the dresses would actually look like on me. I was expecting to be disappointed but ended up smiling throughout my whole appointment! I ended up selecting the exact dress I had shown Sue at the start of the appointment along with another beautiful reception dress that she recommended. As the day of the wedding came, I went in for a couple fittings and Sue and her team ended up altering the dresses to fit me like a glove! I was hoping for the best as I couldn't imagine this would be possible but they really pulled off some magic because I couldn't believe I was able to rent my dream dress, plus a beautiful reception dress, and had it fit me the way it did. It's been a little over a month since my wedding and I'm still thinking about my dresses from Tiara. I visited about four different shops out of which Tiara was the last shop I went to. I didn't need to think twice and put down a deposit as soon as I was done with my appt here. I began my search for a dress a month and a half before my wedding. I came to Tiara Wedding because I had visited their previous location in Fullerton for my sister's wedding, and the process and results were incredible. The owner is very involved and her coworkers are quick and sweet! There were a lot of dresses and veils to choose from, so I told them what I wanted and they brought out a couple options...but I ended up saying yes to the first ones I tried on. The owner still had me try on the other options so that I could be more confident with my own decision, and it was effective! We got married this October, and we had the best experience at Tiara with Soo and her team! Tiara basically became our one-stop shop for my wedding gown rentals, husband's tuxedo, and groomsmen's suits. I don't believe there are any other bridal shops in OC who will alter rented wedding gowns, so I was so happy to have been referred to Tiara by my wedding planner. Soo is truly a magician when it comes to wedding gowns, and she has such a great eye for style and fit. She also cares so much about having your dress be absolutely perfect and she went above and beyond to make sure I felt happy about my dresses. She is also such a warm & kind person, and also speaks fluent English, which was helpful as some of our wedding party members were non-Korean. Because I rented my dresses, I was able to rent 2 gowns (1 for ceremony and 1 for reception) for less than the cost of 1 purchased gown. I probably saved at least $1,000+ going this route. The rental price includes all alterations, a veil, and jewelry so you literally only need to get shoes and some shapewear, if necessary. Soo helped me pick out 2 different gowns that were equally beautiful and looked super flattering on my body type. I also really appreciated that Soo updates her inventory often so she has modern style dresses available even for rentals. I got so many compliments on my dresses on my wedding day, and I felt the most beautiful I've ever felt thanks to Soo and her team. They also did an amazing job with the menswear! Although her inventory for menswear is more limited, don't be fooled! She really focuses on carrying popular wedding colors that come in a variety of fabric qualities for the suits. After shopping at Tiara wedding, I didn't even need to visit another store to find THE ONE. My husband and I got married during the summer of 2024. It was an outdoor garden wedding so I was looking for an A-line dress that would be comfortable to wear on grass, and Tiara Wedding helped me find the perfect fit! The staff was amazing--they let me try on about seven dresses in different styles, but the last one (which my mom picked out) was it! They even helped me pick the perfect veil--just the right length, not too long, not too short, and ideal for an outdoor ceremony. I had four more fittings after the first, which I really appreciated as they had to make sure they tailored the dress to my exact measurements. Also, I'm pretty short, but Sue? Really glad I chose tiara for my wedding dresses! Soo really knows what she is doing and is open to your thoughts. I told her I wanted a sweetheart dress that didn't have beads and she found me a gorgeous dress from korea. I told her something about the dress didn't make me look the best and discovered I didn't like the long torso or the A line bottom so she added a petticoat to make it puffy and a belt and did some magic and voila! My fairytale dress. I didn't know exactly how it would be in the day of the wedding but when I tried it on for the last fitting, I was blown away! Fitting was perfect and I loved it!! The second dress for the reception was perfect as well! I decided not to add a corset because you could see the lining; i decided to lose a few pounds and that did the trick! As a plus size girl, I automatically dismissed going to a Korean wedding dress store, but thankfully my MOH convinced me to check out Tiara. Upon the first appointment, I was literally blown away by the commitment Sue showed in finding me a dress I wanted. She didn't have any dresses in my size but after explaining to her what kind of dress I was looking for, she automatically chose a dress and literally began to UNSTITCH the dress so that I could fit into it. (Mind you that I never said I wanted that dress or was committed to it) I felt so bad but she constantly assured me that she just wanted me to see what the dress looked like on and that there was no pressure to move forward with the dress. Of course, after putting on the dress, I was moved to tears and I actually felt beautiful. After purchasing my dress with her, there were alterations after alterations that needed to be made because I wanted to make sure that my upper arms were covered (it was originally a strapless dress). She literally went out of her way to purchase more fabric, make the sleeves exactly how I wanted and put my needs and wants first above everything. As you can imagine, as a plus size girl, wearing a dress was the number one thing I dreaded about my wedding day, but Sue literally made me a dress that was perfect for me and made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world! Tiara Wedding SAVED MY WEDDING !! My original wedding dress got ruined during alterations done in house (at a location in Whittier called Illusions Bridal! Stay away from there). Luckily I found this place and they saved my wedding 3 weeks before our big day! Everyone complimented my dress and no one could tell it was a perfectly altered rental everyone here is so nice, are experienced and extremely helpful. Where do I even start? The owner Sue and her wonderful designer was top notch. I'm so so glad I found her and not in LA where most Korean rental bridal shops are based in. I wanted to find one in Orange County where I wouldn't need to drive an hour or more to get alterations, etc. On the first visit after consultations, she brought out some dresses by Korean, American, and European designers that I wanted to try on and ones that she thought would work well with my body type. She considers your body type, facial features, preferences, and overall style to flatter you best :) And after trying on several, I went with the last dress that she found me! On top of that, she made the whole bridal fitting/alterations seamless and made me certain that I was in good hands. She truly is a perfectionist and I was really happy to have her be a part of my wedding journey.
