I went here on my birthday with my parents and my brother. My parents had questions about the food and drinks and the waiter answered them proficiently. For my beverage I ordered a mango lasso. For my food, I ordered aloo gobi vegetable thali. It came with naan, lentil, and basmati rice. The entree was the aloo gobi which is potato cauliflower curry. He asked if I wanted mild for the spice level and I said yeah. It took around 10-15 minutes for my food to arrive. It was pretty mild, I should've asked for medium instead, I like when spicy food has a kick to it. The aloo gobi had a lot of sauce which I liked because in other recipes there doesn't seem to be a lot. The lentils were easy to chew and soft. My dad noticed that one fan wasn't on. He said it was hot and I didn't think so. I like the tapestry and banners up for decoration. There were at least 4 other tables filled. There was music playing but it stopped a few times. INSANELY LONG WAIT FOR FOOD. The food was delicious but the insane wait took away from the pleasure of the entire experience. This was Saturday at 7:30ish. Didn't get food until past 8:30. When we first entered the restaurant, it was already pretty chaotic. Several parties just crowded waiting. There is no waitlist so you have to wait in a crammed tiny entry way to try to get the waiters attention to seat you. I was already a bit wary because of that. Then when finally seated in 10-15min, I noticed that there was barely any food on the table. Ordered quickly with the waiter. But the food took over 40 MINUTES to come out...all we got was two entrees, a rice and naan. And things came out in random order. The table next to us had ordered at the same time and all their food seemed to have arrive already. Too bad about the extremely long wait because the food was great. It was a bit salty though. I got the vegetable korma with garlic naan. The naan is more like flatbread and not fluffy. Didn't get a photo since I was starving by then. Service was also nice overall. I visited this restaurant for the first time on Christmas 2025 for dinner with 5 others. We arrived at 5:45. The restaurant was somewhat busy. Fortunately, street parking was still available. Others in my party were able to park right across the street from the restaurant. I ended up about a block away. We were immediately seated. The restaurant was moderate in size. The decor was simple yet unique. The vibe was casual, social, relaxed and comfortable with the exception of the unpadded wooden chairs. The menu was extensive with options for everyone. I was very excited about the many vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Mix Platter, Chicken Tiki Masala, Tofu Saag and Baigoon Aloo along with white rice and Naan. The wait for our food was a bit longer than expected, and it came out in random order. The Naan arrived at the end. And we never received one dish that we ordered so we canceled it. The food was seasoned well and delicious. Everyone else in my party seemed to really enjoy the Tandoori Chicken. My favorite dish was the Baigoon Aloo. The Mix Platter was a little bit of a disappointment as there were only two pieces of shrimp in the dish. Service was warm and friendly but a little forgetful. 5 star for ambiance and service. Food is also solid, except, the last time we went, we got the thalis - both with saag, and the saag was pretty salty. The daal and the cauliflower that came with it was really delicious, as was the naan and roti that we got. Got a pot of the chai, which was a nice balance with the food, and kept us up til the wee hours of morn. The Eggplant and Potatoes mixed in with the Nepali Spices rocks my world! It's like a flavorful dance upon my tongue, as each spice blends into a wonderful & memorable moment! I've had this dish twice! Apricot Naan: Imagine warm naan bread filled with yummy pieces of apricots! It's a beautiful & flavorful combo and with added mango chutney on the side...yes, please! This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. I ordered the fish vindaloo, which the menu says is salmon -- it was NOT salmon. Completely different fish, and honestly questionable quality. I also ordered kheer (rice pudding) and got a dry clump of rice with zero milk or cream. When I brought it up, the owner (short, stout guy with glasses) insisted "that's kheer." It's not. Service was just as bad. I had to flag staff down multiple times -- no water refills, no check-ins. Then it got weird. The owner started asking me how much money I make, then asked for specifics, and then asked if I'm single or have a girlfriend or boyfriend (what!!!). Completely inappropriate. On top of that, the owner made a comment like "he's an engineer, he doesn't want to pay for a bottle" when I declined bottled water. Unprofessional and unnecessary. When I asked to remove the kheer (which I didn't eat and told him upfront and showed him images of actual kheer), there was attitude and pushback before the owner finally corrected the bill. He had the nerve to charge my credit card then had to refund me. Food was inaccurate, service was inattentive, and the behavior crossed the line. Would not recommend. read more

Tibet Nepal house has been my favorite spot for Nepali in the SGV. They're friendly, at tentative and offer BANGIN' curries. Chicken tikka masala is always the crowd favorite but I personally love the chicken korma. It's honestly all SO SO good and if you have a big appetite I suggest 2 curries (LOL). Chicken momos are a MUST. They're nepali dumplings and are very fragrant, juicy and PLUMP. The GARLIC NAAN is BOMB! Its so warm, perfectly toasted and a great vessel for the meal. Everyone is happy you're there and are supporting the business. It's a casual spot but charming so it's perfect for dates or small intimate dinners with your desired party. My only complaint is that rice does not come with the curries. You have to order it separately as its own item. Parking is all street but you can find it pretty easily, especially if you avoid the weekends. read more

Parking was a little difficult, but I ended up going to the structure a few blocks south ($1 for the first 2 hours and $2 for each hour after). This was my first time trying this place. We came in for lunch during the weekday and were greeted warmly. The restaurant is completely decked out with traditional decorations. We were the only ones there during that time, so we were able to be seated and served right away. I came with a coworker that is vegetarian so definitely a vegetarian friendly place. We got the vegetarian momos as an appetizer and it just wasn't for me. I got the mango Lassy, chicken masala, and samosa. I didn't know what Lassy was but our server recommended me to try it and it was good. It was like a mango flavored yogurt. The chicken masala was rich, creamy, and flavorful. I liked it! Their flavors are decadent and rich We came here on a Saturday night for dinner and requested to sit outside because we had a dog. They were happy to accommodate us and moved a table to sit four people. The service throughout the whole night was great. They were super kind and checked it on us often to make sure that the flavors and food were to our liking. Restaurant totally gave the vibe of a family own and run restaurant so felt super homey. The chicken tikka masala was super creamy and very good. It was our table's favorite bite of the night. The chicken curry also had great flavor. It was lighter and the inclusion of vegetables in that one makes it very tasty. We ordered regular naan and garlic naan. I would say there isn't really too big of a difference between the two but really enjoyed the texture of the naan being crispy and on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The samosas were packed filling had a really thin crispy outside and had a very tasty tamarind sauce to accompany company. The chicken Momos were really great. They had like a curry flavor inside, but the sauce was nothing to write home about. Parking is street parking or structure parking. They have a nice and clean bathroom. I've never had Tibet Nepal food before, but we decided to give this establishment in Old Town Pasadena, which actually looks quite modern for being old, an inquisitive try. First off, I have to say the service was phenomenal. They accommodated us outside and gave a seat to our puppy. We ordered the non veg thalis and the mint chicken along with samosas and chicken momo. The thalis were a good size portion. We also ordered naan. Let's say, lots of leftovers but the food was like Indian but spiced differently. We sat outside for lunch in the shade with the dog. We started with the Mo-Mo dumplings that were steamed and had a nice layered flavor. Didn't really need the dipping sauce. For entrees the chicken tiki masala, had to try it. I recommend everyone that has their favorites to try them at every restaurant that serves it up. I thought we would take half of the sauce home... NOPE, we used the traditional Dhopi, stone ground whole wheat flat bread as a little shovel to scoop up every last little drop! So good. We also ordered the Garlic Mint Chicken as my friend in real life and Yelp @Paul J. raved about it in his help in 2016.... Yes, I do read the Yelps in advance to making my menu selections. Flavors were on point, and the insides were made up of potato, peas, and something else. Vegetable momos: worth getting. They came out kind of cold, and the bottoms have a tend to break, but they were delicous. Parking is apparently in a parking garage somewhere. There's metered parking right outside as well if you can score it. Service was very slow on a Thursday during lunch. The spicy Aloo Gobi was a nice lighter vegan curry packed with a complementing array of veggies. The lamb tikka masala was a richer, creamier dish that was warm and comforting to the tummy. My first time trying Tibetan/Nepalese food! Came to celebrate hubby's birthday with a group of 6. Though our party showed up at staggered times, they were kind enough to allow us to get a table first. I'd say Tibetan/Nepalese food is a fusion between Indian and Chinese flavors and we all really enjoyed our meal! We ordered everything family-style & mild. -Chicken Mo-mo Dumplings, these were standard dumplings. The skin broke a little easily or got tough when cold. -Chicken Pokauda, these were deep fried chicken strips, but they almost had a fishy flavor profile to them that some in our party mistook for fish sticks. They were a bit salty, but I actually liked the seasoning and chutney it came with. -Shrimp Masala, this was good! Standard masala flavor, not spicy at all. -I wanted the Tofu Salad, but they misheard it as Tofu Saag (lol!). We kept it anyway, since it's tofu and pureed spinach. It was interesting, and a way for us to still get some greens in. -Lamb Vindaloo, hubby loved this. Not too gamey and flavors were good. -Phing Noodles w/ meat, I can't remember if we ordered Chicken or Lamb. But these are a bean thread noodle and stir-fried. I liked it. -Tandoori Chicken, this was a cross between Chinese/Canto-style BBQ Pork and Tandoori Chicken flavor. It was good. -I know we ordered a Yak dish, I can't remember if it was the Yak Chili. It was good as well, first time trying Yak meat. Not gamey at all, tastes like beef. We also ordered the Garlic Naan and some Basmati rice for the table to share. Their Naan is really good! Love how it's a bit thicker & chewier than Indian Naan bread and paired well with scooping up the curries! Restrooms are outside the back of the restaurant & clean. Service is fairly quick & staff were friendly. Parking is either street parking, or you can park a couple of blocks down in the Old Town lots ($2.00 for first 2 hours) and walk over.
