I stopped by Curry Time on a whim, just driving by. I don't normally order Indian food since many restaurants I've tried are either not authentic, or they do a mish mash of food from various regions. This was a quick, fast casual format so I figured it would be quick and easy. And prices are fair so not a huge loss if the food was not great. The owner was there as I ordered and we had a great conversation. I learned there are other branches of this shop. It was close to closing time and she kindly offered me a taste off several of the dishes. I was pleased to notice the flavors were all distinct. Everything was well spiced and fresh tasting. I was very pleased. All the chicken curries are delicious. I settled with the mango chicken and also the goat curry (authentically cooked bone in) and garlic naan. The pricing was a bit misleading initially because there are upcharges for various combinations. However, I recently returned and noticed the signage on pricing was clearer. I would be happy to return and try other items.

I got the combo plate with 2 entrees and it was amazing! Everything was super flavorful. The portions are big, so you definitely get your money's worth. The customer service was also warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again!

Customer service is severely lacking, we arrived just after they opened and went in to say we had an online order and one of the gentleman said they had just opened and it wasn't ready yet. So we left and went on a walk. We returned when we reached the time it stated the food would be done. It was done on time but it was the wrong order. I selected the Chicken Curry pizza and I received the tandoori chicken pizza. When I told them I had the wrong pizza he said no you ordered the chicken curry pizza. I had ordered (online) the chicken curry masala pizza when I asked why the pizza given to me had peppers and olives he said he didn't know why the online description said that because the online description for the chicken curry pizza doesn't have tomatoes and he doesn't use tomatoes. I was offered no refund nor was I given the correct pizza.

Prices are good. Food is okay. My bf and I both got two item combos. I got t chicken curry and it wasn't very flavorful. Street parking is easy.

Watery spinach paneer. Our "plate" was a takeout tray. One review called the servers unfriendly, but I found them friendly, and polite.

Reasonable prices and good portions. Not a fancy place. Good service but it's more of a diner.

There was a very long line, but I decided to wait it out, and I'm glad I did. The restaurant has a great vibe, with good music and a very friendly, attentive staff. The cashier was especially helpful since it was my first time there. He gave me a bunch of great recommendations, and I'm glad I took his advice. I ordered the Sando with medium heat, along with collard greens, macaroni salad, and potato salad. Here's my breakdown: Sando -- 5/5 The chicken on this sandwich was massive, but beyond the size, it was seasoned really well and had the perfect texture. It was flavorful, juicy, and crispy. Definitely the highlight of the meal. Macaroni Salad -- 3/5 Not my favorite, but still pretty solid. I probably wouldn't order it again, but there was nothing particularly wrong with it. Collard Greens -- 4/5 I'm from the South, so I'm usually pretty particular about my greens, but these were surprisingly good. The cashier suggested adding their vinegar sauce, and he was absolutely right. It really brought the flavor up a notch. I would definitely order these again. Potato Salad -- 3.5/5 Solid potato salad. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was still pretty good and went well with the rest of the meal. Overall, I understand why Howlin' Ray's gets so much hype. The line was long, but the food, atmosphere, and customer service made it worth the wait. I especially appreciated how helpful the staff was in making recommendations for a first-time customer. I'd definitely come back to try their chicken and the rest of the menu.

If you're willing to wait in line for some hot chicken, turns out you might have other things in common. We met so many great people in line and the restaurant provides umbrellas for the heat and came out with waters for people waiting in line. From then, we were already sold. But then came the food- omg the food!! I've had Nashville hot chicken before so I'm always a little skeptical of hot chicken places not in Nashville claiming to be the best... but the Sando (got it in mild) was perfection! Loved the tenders too. My 7-year old had to get no spice and still found it flavorful. Beware though if you don't like spice- the fries are spicy. Don't skip on the banana pudding. This southern girl fully approves! Service was literally top notch! There wasn't a single employee we met who we didn't instantly want to be best friends with! How does this place attract so much great service?! My 10-year old says this was a "10 out of 10 stars" and "worth the wait"! I agree! Bravo Howlin!

I have such fond childhood memories of going there with my parents and grandparents and receiving what seemed like foot-tall soft-serve cones. They also make the best malts, terrific burgers, and excellent deli sandwiches. The pastrami on rye and grilled cheese are dependable favorites--or you can splurge on a classic banana split. Add fries, with or without chili, and you have the perfect old-school meal. When I was growing up, they called what most people know as a chocolate-and-vanilla twist a "ripple." That is still what I order--and what I call it--wherever I am in the world, even when people look at me funny. Whenever I am in Pasadena visiting family and friends, a stop at Connal's for a ripple, shake, burger, and fries is practically mandatory. Some places serve food; others hold generations of memories. Connal's does both.

The salami was processed, not dry. It came with a major portion of yellow mustard (not requested), tons of finely chopped wet lettuce, no cheese. Horrible and soggy. I would have requested my money back, but it was a to-go order. The quality of the entire restaurant has gone, and it seems no one cares, as this has been going on for over a year. Inside the restaurant, the tables were empty and unclean. The wall decor sign for the restaurant, was broken and meant nothing as it was missing the store name. It was an icon restaurant, but now broken, and terribl.
