la chai and the quinoa dish

I found some good balance here. I perched myself at the bar counter seating. The background music, low-key customers, free-Wifi for us lowly tourists, good food and nice chai! The menu was full of awesome stuff and the staff was friendly & pleasant. This is one cool, calm cafe.

I was visiting the town and my friend recommend we meet for lunch at this charming hole in a wall restaurant. It is very rustic and authentic. It was my first time trying Tibetan food, I'm always curious about trying new type of food. The service was good, it felt more like we were in a family own restaurant but I don't know if this the case. It has a very relax atmosphere. I really like the location and also all the large window facing the street. We had dim sum and spring rolls and more. We were asked how spicy we wanted each to have, it was on spicy side which was more than okay!! Very delicious food and would definitely go back!

This is a good place to dine in, if you want to try healthy, msg free this place is the bomb. Poories is what you need to order for start, match it with any of their curry. I had their Thukpa and its so good and healthy, you can tell that it's cooked with out any extender or unwanted seasoning, they used free range chicken. For dessert we had chocolate blueberry momos, the bomb!!! It's a must so make sure to make some room for dessert. To top it all the owner's daughter is amazing, friendly and very accommodating, excellent customer service. So once we come back to Victoria, BC we will definitely make this as one of our favorite spots.

This is a review just for their soup and salad combo…read more I was doing a yelp search looking for soup and salad because my husband and I just wanted something light and healthy. Enter Rebar. I can't speak for the other stuff on the menu and to be honest I'm not a huge fan of vegan food, but I think we lucked out and the soup of the day was a creamy smoked fish type of chowder and it was SOOOO GOOD. Next time I'll make sure to call in to see when they serve this chowder again!!! Also... the salad. Fresh ingredients and they were so accommodating to sub beets with sprouts since my husband can't have beets . Their dressings are made in house I believe and it tastes so good - especially the creamy sesame one and also the ginger honey dressing! To die for!!!! Totally a game changer when added to the salad. And finally the yummy crispy, buttery garlic toast pieces that come with the soup and salad is just heavenly... I am salivating just thinking about it. Prices were extremely fair! Please don't increase the price - it's just right!!! I'd come Back in a heartbeat for the soup and salad. Few improvements could Be: slow service and sticky floors. So that's for the one star knockoff otherwise it would've been 5 stars for sure!!! Portions were generous!!!!

Coconut curry, sandheko aloo (potatoes) and chicken followed - and did I mention the sandheko was amazing? But Indian-Nepali Kitchen is one of Seattle's most sought-after spots for affordable eats. But don't sleep on the rest of INK's broad menu of South Asian fare -- The Infatuation magazine even considers it to be one of the best restaurants in the city, full stop. INK shares a strip mall with a bodega and nail salon. Black cushioned chairs are pressed up to lacquered wood tables, and the tan walls are decorated with an assortment of cultural tchotchkes. Bollywood music videos play on the main dining room's single flatscreen, while images of Nepali mountain ranges flash on the screen in the accessory dining room. My partner and I dined at INK for weekday dinner on our drive up to the North Cascades, and we had the dining room to ourselves. Only a handful of takeout patrons rolled through during our visit. We kicked off our meal with the Mixed Appetizer. The Vegetable Pakora component was a consensus hit. The rich, crispy bites functioned well on their own and were fun conduits for the fragrant mint sauce and the tart tamarind sauce. In comparison, the samosas were forgettable, sporting overwhelmingly thick shells and hit-or-miss fillings. Of the three varieties, only the earthy ground lamb was worth finishing. Next, we tried the Combo Momo platter. Admittedly, the signature momos were surprisingly mediocre. Across the varieties, the wonton-like Fried Momo was the clear winner with its exciting texture without overpowering the delicate filling flavor. Meanwhile, the standard steamed momos tasted like something out of the frozen section, the Chili Momos were dominated by fast-food-quality sweet-and-sour sauce, and the Sandheko Momos had an unassuming, generally savory curry flavor (which was far outdone by the tangy side of house chutney). For our entree, we were very impressed by the Butter Curry Lamb. The thick curry broth was vibrant and dynamic; we sipped it by the spoonful. The tough lamb felt like an afterthought. The Garlic Basil Bread wasn't particularly basil-y, but the naan slices were pillowy, flaky, and addictively buttery. To drink, we shared an Iced Chai. The tea was more spiced than sweet; the average Starbucks patron might turn their nose up to it, but the light drink was a welcome contrast to the dense entrees. For dessert, we opted for the Gulab Jamun: the ping pong-sized cheese balls were deceptively dense, each packing a rich, syrupy punch. The service was quick and efficient, and our bill worked out to about $75 (after tax and tip). The flavors topped out at very good, but never quite achieved greatness. The portions were generous -- we probably could have done without the momos and still had a satisfyingly hearty meal. For a no-frills meal that will, at a minimum, be tasty, INK is a safe bet.

There were a few other people at 11:30am We asked if they do lunch buffet as I didn't see any self serve food. The staff said they offered in the past but not today.. it might come back in 2 weeks? We ordered hummus, garlic naan, fish masala and special kebabs without lamb which was accommodated per our request. The food even the side veggies were really good, we all liked everything. I like this place for good quality fresh ingredients that I don't feel overstuffed. It's probably because the food is easy to digest? This doesn't happen with other Mediterranean and Indian food. I'd like to come back when they start lunch buffet again.

READ ITS INTERESTING REVIEW-:…read more I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 4 years, and what happened today was completely unacceptable and extremely disappointing. One of the owners, Mr. Bishnu, knows me very well since I've been coming here regularly for years. A few months ago, when I tried to order a plate of noodles, I was told the wait time would be 40 minutes, so I cancelled the order. After about an hour, I called back thinking the wait might be shorter, but I was told it would now take 50 minutes. I still agreed to wait and picked up the order. At that time, I left a 1-star review because of the excessive wait time, but later I realized it might have been harsh and I deleted the review. However, what happened today completely changed my perception of this place. I went there to refer a friend for a job, because Mr. Bishnu himself had previously asked me to bring her. Instead of a normal conversation, he confronted me about that old review. During the conversation he said that if I "behave like this" I will not be welcomed at the restaurant anymore -- simply because I once left a review about slow service. The attitude was extremely egoistic and disrespectful. Even when I calmly tried to explain that this is not the way you treat a customer who has been supporting your business for years, his response was shocking. His exact words were essentially: "It's fine if you don't come. It won't make any difference to my restaurant. Even Mr Bishnu used a word " I don't care and F*ck about people" Imagine telling that to someone who has been coming here for 4 years, recommending the place to friends, and bringing new customers who also continued coming. This kind of arrogance toward loyal customers is unbelievable. A business should value feedback and long-time customers, not threaten them or dismiss them because of one honest review about service delays. After today's experience, I honestly feel disrespected and unwelcome, and I would strongly suggest other customers think twice before supporting a place where customer loyalty clearly means nothing. Mr Bishnu you lost a loyal customer to SPICE OF NEPAL & KATHMANDU BAR AND GRILLfor sure. If there are lot of other customers for you , there are lot of other restaurants around.
