My car's battery was completely drained while I was out of town for work due to an inside light being left on. I called these guys to come out and jump it. I wasn't sure about them based on the phone experience alone but honestly I care less about phone interactions than in person. When they got to my house he came to the door, which was nice. The first gentleman was very nice and got started right away. Because my battery had been draining for a week it was difficult to get it back up but they kept at it until it was running. The other fellow came out of the truck to help too and we got to talking about his work with B.A.C.A. (Bikers against child abuse) They were honestly two of the nicest tow truck guys I've ever met and I'll recommend their service to anyone read more

Called a little after 2 hours, no one answered the phone. I instead received a text message that towing would be a no show! I should have read the other reviews before using this company. The brusque manner of the driver was enough to stop me from going back, but the worst part was when he dumped off my car at the shop. My car's electrical had died, and because it's a Prius, we couldn't even get it into neutral to push it. The guy dumped the car in the middle of the mechanic's busy driveway -- right where all the cars were going in and out. He said he couldn't wait for the mechanics because he had another call. Sure enough, because of this, my car door was hit by another customer who didn't see my car precariously parked in the driveway. Pay the extra money and get someone you can trust. Now I have to go get my car door repaired. read more

I'm more than a year late posting this review because I mislaid the invoice, and couldn't recall the name of the business. But they did such a great job for us that I had to follow up. I'll try and make it worth the wait. In August of 2017, approaching 6pm, my wife and I were headed from the Bay Area to Oregon to watch the solar eclipse, when 25 miles out of Vacaville, in the middle of nowhere, an inner tire on the tandem rear axle of our Itasca 21-foot Class C motorhome experienced a tread separation on Highway 505. We stopped on the shoulder where, fortunately, there was cellphone service, and I called my insurer for roadside assistance. They called around for a service provider but, on Saturday evening, nearly every shop or warehouse was closed, or about to close. Finally, a provider called back and said to expect him in about 45 minutes. More than an hour passed. He called again, very apologetic, but said that my vehicle, at 11,000 lbs, was too heavy for his jack and tools. I again called the insurer. After another half-hour, Jon called from Tic Tac Tow, and offered to come help in about 30 minutes. Actually it took almost an hour, since he was coming from another job. He was very cordial and pleasant, especially given that he was finishing up a long, strenuous day. He jacked up the rear end, then found that his star wrench wouldn't fit the lug nuts. I got mine out, but found, to my astonishment, that it too was too small for the one-inch bolt heads. I know I used to have one that fit, but it was gone. So Jon recalled that he had purchased an old set of 18-wheeler tools at an estate sale, but had rarely used them. He placed a call to his wife, and after yet another hour, she and his mother-in-law arrived in a pickup truck with the tool set. Jon then removed and replaced the tandem wheel set. We also had to remove and remount an external storage box on the back of the rig in order to get at the spare; a two-man job. Finally, it was done. He was reluctant to ask for more than $175, but I figured he deserved a tip, and insisted on $200. It was almost 11 o'clock at night by the time we got rolling. We were exhausted, having stayed up almost the entire night before, so we decided to head back home. But i was greatly relieved not to have had to abandon the vehicle, or to stay overnight in a motel. I especially appreciated Jon's extraordinary commitment to getting us back on the road. He was a perfect gentleman, an Army veteran, and a fine conversationalist during our lengthy wait. I recommend him highly, and would certainly call upon him again if I should ever again need car service in his vicinity. Thank you, Jon. read more

I called 3 TIMES to ask to get my car towed form an auto shop in Woodland. the guy who picked up was not only rude, but he didn't say thanks for calling so and so or ANY kind of customer service on the phone. it was almost as if i was talking to an over grown male who didn't give a rats ass who he was talking to. This place is a joke i would STAY AWAY form this so called of joke towing place. i've already told EVERYONE to STAY away and never call this place again. tic - TACKY is more like it.... My car broke down on the highway - patrol officer said the vehicle was a danger to traffic - understandably, it had to be towed off the shoulder. I called my insurance for road side assistance - but the tow truck company would take an at least an hour to come get me... I explained this to the patrol officer who said my car needed to be removed immediately and he was calling for a local company to come get my car - in walks tic tacky. I also explained I did not have money for a 3rd party tow truck company to come get my car and he assured me the company would be willing to work with me on pricing and that I could pay at a later date. Now, they are refusing to drop my car and saying they are charging me DOUBLE for the tow if I pay them for my car tomorrow. ONE DAY??? DOUBLE the fee?! WHAT THE HELL??????? Windy and Jon seemed like very good people & when I was looking for a tow service last September to deal with unauthorized parking at my property, I connected with them right away. They promised 24 hour service, 20 min response time and that they billed the vehicle owner, not the property. They didn't provide signs, so I spent $700 on signs for each of my 10 entrances based on their enthusiastic promises of reliable service. The first time I called was around 7pm on a weeknight when streams of cars were flowing into our lots due to a nearby event. The answering service said she didn't know anything about them offering service where they towed and charged the vehicle owner & that I would have to pay. There was no one she could call to ask. I gave up and spent the next three hours directing traffic out of our lots. The next two times when this same problem occurred, I called and got the message machine and the mailbox was full. Before leaving a bad review I wanted to give them a call in case it was something that could be corrected for future calls, so I tried several times two days in a row (during the day) and still got the full mailbox. They have no email address published, so I couldn't even reach them that way. The worst service imaginable. Even if they had to close up shop due to unavoidable circumstances, they should change their outgoing message rather than leave people hanging. read more

I would give them ZERO stars if I could. This company is horrible. Towed a friends car, the friend is missing, presumably in the SF bay. Will not release the vehicle, or stop charging the $75 per day until the owner comes in to claim and pay for it, or until we provide a death certificate. Obviously we don't have either. Tic tac towing company did not show any sympathy towards the pain we have going through.Our friends and family are searching day and night for our friend and we have enough on our plate with that, much less this company just trying to make a buck. simply ridiculous. I had a pretty bad experience, in which I jacked knifed my Uhaul truck and the tow dolly that my car was attached to. I underestimated the tightness of a parking lot, and was unable to swing wide enough to get out. I called Uhaul customer service in a panic, and this is unfortunately the company they came up with. Yes, I was stupid enough to get myself into that predicament, and it was my fault, but the hicks who showed up did nothing but find my situation humerous and laughed the whole time. Proper business etiquette would dictate that you not laugh at the customer in their presence...best to avoid this outfit. read more

Had a great expirence. I was broke down in Roseville 2 hours away from home. I was really nervous because I dont trust people I dont know. The tow truck driver showed up and tried helping me start my truck so I didnt have to use up my tow. It still didnt start. I was annoyed at first because I sat in the parking lot for 3 and a half hours but I also know that insurance companies call around to get the cheapest rate so they can keep the money thats not used. He was very friendly, professional, and he got me and truck home safe. I would use them again and reccomend them to anyone. read more

Great experience I had. My cars front axel broke down when I was driving to the casino so I was stuck in the middle of no where with barely any reception. I had to walk up a hill to actually make a call. I called a few towing places for quotes and this place was the cheapest to pick my car up from esparto and drop it off in sacramento. I was stuck on Co Rd 99 between Woodland and Davis because of a busted hose. I wish I asked for the guy's name, but he just took over the company. He was at our car within 15 minutes, loaded us up very quickly, and was very friendly the entire ride. Told us about some other family members (it's a family owned business) who used to do a not so good job. Seems like he's improving the company a lot. Charges a flat rate of 125 for a tow anywhere in north Davis and 150 for south Davis. Very awesome company, and I would highly recommend them over any company in Davis (priced at $225 for the same tow). Also charges a flat rate of $65 for anywhere in Woodland. I was stuck at a parking lot after another towing company came by and couldn't jump start my vehicle. Tic Tac Towing was called to get my vehicle out, but Jon gave my vehicle a full look through and found that all I needed was a more powerful jump start. I was back on the road and got to an auto shop for a battery replacement. If it wasn't for Jon, I would have spent all day figuring out what was wrong, or spent a few hundred dollars at a dealership. The day I was scheduled to make my last payment. I phoned, spoke to jon. He informed me my truck was gone. Tic Tac Towing stole my vehicle. I am filing a lawsuit against them. These guys are useless. I live in a gated community with narrow streets. This company is supposed to tow vehicles when they are illegally parked on the side of the street. The car was parked in a fire zone. When I asked them to tow the vehicle which was partially blocking the street, they refused to send anyone. Their response was to call the police. read more

This has to be the worst towing company I have ever used. I called them and they said that they would have a tow truck to me in 45 minutes. After three hours, they finally showed up. This was after repeated phone calls to them, and them insisting that their tow truck was ten minutes away. Their driver was completely rude and unprofessional. Had this rv I bought towed by this guy from knights landing to lake county he gave me a quote even tho we where not sure how long it was and said if it's longer than 19 ft tall gonna cost some more he asked what was max I could afford I before I wouldn't pay o have him open book and said 1k he could of burned me if he wanted but he gave me quote of 550 and said may go up a bit if longer again o said my max was 1k but he only charged me 50 more bucks.. some of these other reviews seem pretty bogus because to me I was treated like family and wasn't taken advantage of in anyway read more
