I have never had an unpleasant experience with any of the providers conducting the exam. These interactions have always been pleasant. The front desk staff is another story! Outside of the excessive wait times, I mean, for every little service provided, you have to wait until you're recalled, which is inefficient and unnecessary in most cases. You wait longer than the total eye exam takes in some cases. My concern is also what I believe to be shady business/billing practices (which I will be reporting). My medical insurance was billed for both my first and second yearly exams, while my vision insurance (EyeMed) covers the exam itself at 100%. Never, ever, have I had to come out of pocket for the exam itself anywhere else. Second, I purchased my eyeglasses from them, using my insurance benefits,ts even though I know I can go to Eyebuydirect or somewhere and pay much less. For a single vision prescription (pretty much-upgraded readers), I spent close to $400. In Year 2, I brought in my frames and STILL paid the same amount! I couldn't understand why! In my most recent visit, I asked why my medical insurance would be billed as opposed to my EyeMed insurance and was told medical is billed when the doctors determine medical necessity or find a medical concern (Glaucoma, Cataracts, etc.). This I absolutely get and understand; HOWEVER, I do NOT and have never had any of these concerns, so again, why is my medical insurance being billed?? because they know they will be reimbursed at a higher rate. Shady, shady, shady!

Story time: Working for a great Dr but terrible boss…read more I Wanted to Succeed for Dr. Bennett but Was Never Given the Chance I walked into this job excited and ready to learn. I knew I was joining during a busy time, but I never imagined just how much was changing behind the scenes. Multiple employees were retiring, the office was in transition, and the person assigned to train me was unavailable during a critical part of my onboarding. Before I had even been given the opportunity to fully learn the position, I found myself working on my own. Like any new employee, I asked questions, took notes, and did my best to keep up. I genuinely wanted to succeed. Instead of receiving the guidance and patience that most new hires need, I was let go before I had a fair chance to grow into the role. Looking back, it felt less like I was evaluated on my potential and more like I was expected to know everything immediately despite the circumstances. My hope is that future employees are given the training, support, and opportunity that every new hire deserves. A little patience and proper leadership can make the difference between an employee who fails and one who thrives.

Dr. Noonan was rude, curt, dismissive and diminishing (there was no bedside manner whatsoever)! I was a new patient and didn't realize that if I wanted an eye exam plus an exam for contacts that I should be wearing my contacts(never had to do this at my last eye doctor) and he pretty much yelled at me for not having them in/with me. He was so short with me throughout the whole visit and I just can't understand why. I really should've just walked out when I noticed his very pronounced rudeness but stayed so that I could at least get a new glasses and contacts prescription. The front office staff were "meh" as I was not impressed by them at all. Though there was one woman who helped sort my insurance out and for that I'm appreciative. While the office is new you can clearly see that some of their systems are antiquated. I'm so used to being emailed or texted or sent a message via an app like "My Chart" by my other doctors' offices that I expected the same from this office. Apparently they couldn't reach me via telephone call in regards to my insurance so I didn't realize I even had an issue until I arrived at my appointment. I can't speak for the other doctor in the practice but Dr. Noonan was horrible and I just can't believe that I could have such a bad experience at an eye doctor of all places. Dr. Noonan treated me as though he could not be bothered with someone like me, as though getting this basic eye exam was asking too much of him. Needless to say I will NEVER step foot into Stratford Eye Care Associates again and they will NEVER see a dime of my money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NOT RETURN! But perhaps this was the goal and if it was this practice succeeded!

Dr. Seymour is wonderful! I had an emergency and called the nearest ophthalmologist office near…read moretears. The assistant who answered the call was successful in squeezing me in to see Dr. Seymour. She was so kind, and was able to locate what turned out to be a piece of metal in my eye and remove it without me feeling a thing and made sure I had antibiotic drops and lubricant at my disposal. It's been a full day now, and though it's not totally back to normal, my eye is safe. When the time comes for me to have my next exam, I'll be visiting Dr.Seymour.

Dr. Roberts is fantastic. I have no reservations about his care expertise bedside manner demeanor…read morenothing he's fantastic. His support staff stink I watch people for a living. I've seen his primary secretary / office manager fighting with other employees arguing being disrespectful unfortunately it carries over to clients. So now I've moved on there are other options. Why is he a doctor when it's difficult to get an appointment when it's difficult to get information when it's just plain disrespectful. Regrettably it has nothing to do with a doctor.

Here, I felt like he spent time with me, did not push any particular technology and didn't feel the assembly line feeling or the pushy feeling I got from the places I tried previously. If you are happy with your current provider I see no reason to change but if you have been having difficulty with your glasses I think this might be a great place to try. He also gave me all my measurement information before I asked. Try getting that at a chain. Their dog was there, quiet, fluffy, soft and smelling clean sitting at my feet. Like a therapy dog :-)

I went back to PV twice and they suggested returning to Modern Focus as the lenses matched the script. The Dr at MF said my vision changed and gave me less of a correction. I feel her 11/25 script was inaccurate but she said no and charge me $60 for the new one because I didn't buy glasses there. What a rip off! PV is making my new lenses for free. Now that's good customer service. Oh, and I was the doctor's first appt of the day and she arrived 15 minutes late to work. Like my time isn't worth anything? Needless to say, I canceled my next exam. I went to Dr Gould for years and always received excellent care and customer service. MF could use a little training on both areas.

When you go back and ask them to adjust the frames and ask them to measure your PD, they don't. So you spend 4 hours on hold and speaking to customer service only to find out they don't actually do anything but call the store directly. If the store decides no, America's best company does nothing tO intercede on their customers behalf. I have wasted my benefit on an exam, and $500 on glasses I can't wear. Deciding if I have the fortitude to deal with the store directly again as their customer service did not make me feel valued or respected.

My eyes have been red my whole…read morelife and it was Dr. Margius (after years of other doctors) who took the time to figure out why. He did various tests, in addition to a very thorough eye exam. Thanks to him, my eyes have gone from green and red to green and white! AND his staff is great! They helped me pick out glasses that look so good, I get constant compliments. Because my eyes look so much healthier, I think they look brighter; this , I am sure, helps compliment my glasses. Thank you, Dr. Margius and staff, for taking the time to care about us patients!
