I used Tidy in 2014/15 when they actually trained their housekeepers and it was always fine - a couple hiccups here and there but they always made it right. We signed back up recently and both times they did a TERRIBLE job. I spent two hours going back over my entire apartment after she left just to get it to a decent level of clean (while nine months pregnant, which is why I hired them in the first place). Counters were not wiped down; sinks were still dirty; toilets had dried-on cleaner all over them; mirrors were still dirty; carpets were half vacuumed; furniture was not dusted; she stacked wet cups in the cabinet trapping the water; dirt, cat litter and dust bunnies all over the place, and the floors actually looked worse than when she arrived (sticky and smudged all over). She also used a gross old mop with nothing but water so the place actually smelled dirty and mildewy when she left. I was livid. This was two weeks after my last cleaning so it wasn't even that bad to begin with - I honestly don't know what she did for 2.5 hours. I contacted customer service to cancel my plan and request at least a partial refund, and I got a canned response about credits and refunds that wasn't at all related to my concerns. My brief Tidy saga began this week with a cleaner that showed up only to find I have a cat. She was severely allergic and unable to complete the cleaning. Ok, reasonably, I rescheduled. Oh but wait, she decided to leave my home and left my front door unlocked for hours. Tidy responded to my concern and supposedly was going to credit my next service at a discount. Somewhere in rescheduling for the next day they charged me an additional $35 on top of the $90 I'd already paid (for the 2.5 hour service). Ok well, I'll figure that out later, I thought. Next day all seems to be going well with the new person. I log in to my pet cam and see my Kitty has left a "gift" for her on the carpet. I text her as a heads-up. Nearly all the way through my 2.5 hour cleaning she starts to vacuum the room with the "gift" and she vacuums right over it. This smears the "gift" all over the carpet. She texted me that she was unable to complete the cleaning because she now had to clean her vacuum for the next customer. What about this customer? She does very little to attempt to clean the stain (see pictures of the stain as I found it when I got home). After the cleaning, I see that she wasn't able to complete half of the items on the ToDo and the ones she did complete, come to find out, were done poorly. All attempts to contact Tidy to remedy the erroneous charges and the awful service have gone unanswered. I called AMEX to dispute all charges and am washing my hands of the experience. The cleaners were actually decent. I'm writing this review based off of the company. Tidy apparently used to have an advanced certification process, and training, for employees. Apparently they had test cleanings, were graded on their performance, and even had to pass an exam on what chemicals were safe to use together etc., and had an extensive interview process. But they have stopped that practice, no advanced training, no exam (see PP/employee post). Thankfully my cleaners were pretty good. But, Tidy says they will discount 10% if you book in advance....I have yet to see that 10% after 3 cleans. They may credit me in the future and that would be great. No one was able to get everything completed, and other services were. But again, they were all decent cleaners, it's the company that this review goes out to. read more

The guy that was sent out missed important spots , his towels that he used to clean smelled soiled and old . ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Do not use this company! I star is generous! Two people were at my house for four hours for a 1,000-square foot, 2 bed 1.5 bath condo (.5 bath is tiniest space with sink and toilet). It's tiny!!!! Stairs and closets even take up some of that square footage which of course weren't touched. When my husband got home they told him they weren't able to get to many "priority" items upstairs and we had to pay $50 more in cash to have him stay a bit longer to "get it done". When I got home and went through house I was sick. My husband re-scrubbed bathroom floors and kitchen floor, daughter vacuumed upstairs, I cleaned blinds in kitchen and had to keep dusting and cleaning stuff as I found things not done. Furniture in bedrooms not dusted- such as night stands and bedposts. Kitchen trash full and bin dirty. No trash cans in bathrooms emptied or cleaned. I came home after paying $99 for the two hour service and was extremely disappointed. I took photos of dog hair and debris all throughout the floors of the apartment, an untouched shower, dirty streaks on the tile and countertops in my kitchen and very little evidence of any cleaning, except for some items moved on my dresser for dusting. The cleaner was late, she did not get any of the notes I left in the Tidy app re: parking and accessing my apartment via a gate code, and said (at the end of the appointment) that she did not get a "To Do" list - which I also filled out via the app. Customer Service will not issue a full refund or credit and they have gone dark. The absolute worst cleaning service I have ever used. Damaged my window (300 dollars) refused to pay for it, only offered a cleaning credit. The cleaner used the rough side of a sponge to clean handprints off our kitchen window. Our stainless steel appliances looked like I gave my two year old a wet paper towel and told him to have fun. Honestly, I was shocked to see that tidy.com has had so many one star reviews, as usually Yelp is spot-on with their analyses. However, my experience with tidy (twice now) has been overwhelmingly positive! Perhaps I've been getting lucky, but I have not had any problems with cancellations or late arrivals either time I've used the service (first time was one hour, the second time was 2.5 hours). Both cleaners were professional and courteous, and did a fantastic job cleaning the areas I requested. For the price, I found these services to be excellent. Maybe my standards for clean are lower than others', but if you're hiring someone from a cleaning website rather than a direct professional service, I feel like you should take their capabilities with a grain of salt. Of course, you're never going to get white-glove service for something you are paying so little for, relatively speaking. However, both times the cleaners exceeded my expectations. The one thing I don't like, though, is that tidy takes 50% of what you pay for the service. So, even though you are paying $100 for a cleaner, they are only receiving $50 for their work. read more

To start I tried using them last year for our offices to separate the restaurant contracts from the offices. They come to our neighborhood and trash the hand-railings with their propaganda, that though pretty as they are it is now littering our streets. All homes and building have mailboxes as well as designated areas to leave boxes and baskets for this publicly yet this company hires men to leave them all over the floors of our homes on the hand rials of the buildings and trashing our beautiful streets. My house was already extremely clean, I just wanted them to mop the floors and make the counters shiny as I had important guests coming the following morning. I'll stop there. One goof ... okay, she was bad but they "black listed" her from my account so, I thought I would use them for a corporate rental for a second try. Had several very disappointing experiences with Tidy and have cancelled. We used 2 different house cleaners, both of them often left major things untouched. After our last service that we paid for 2.5hours of cleaning, we only got about 1 hour of work (we have security cameras inside the home and can see when they entered and left) and when we reported it to Tidy, they dinged the housecleaning, but didn't credit the difference to us initially. After the housecleaner saw that she didn't get her full pay, she drove back to our house and harassed and was aggressive towards us because she didn't get her full pay. She was rude, unprofessional and aggressive towards us. Fortunately they did issue us a full refund, but it doesn't change what happened. I have used Tidy twice now. Both times the person scheduled did cancel last minute and yes this was very irritating because the first time I was expecting company. Tidy did offer an apology and a discount and found a replacement for another day, the second time they found a replacement same day. Both of the cleaners Amber and Isela were fantastic. They did a beautiful job. Followed my tidy todo list, which is a great feature on the app. I felt that they went above and beyond both did extra touches that I didn't even think to ask for. Very impressed with both. Both times I did the tidy plus, I normally have the cleaning service once every 4 to 5 weeks, I do the rest in between. But having them do the jobs that they have done makes maintaining it so much easier with my work and commute schedule. Very happy with the service and I hope it continues this way. read more
