I don't write a lot of reviews unless it's warranted. This is my 3rd review. Tidy sucks. I scheduled 3 cleanings and I had 3 no-shows. The first 2 of the Pros said they couldn't show because of family emergencies and the 3rd just didn't show up. I did find out through customer service that the 3rd pro was marked as "on-time". Tidy's customer support isn't too bad because they can be pretty responsive, but the way they handle no-shows is terrible. It's the same thing of please reschedule and have backup times. When I got the first no-show, I got $10, which is good for nothing on this site. The other times, all I get is an I'm sorry and reschedule. The biggest problem is notification. I don't get notified about anything. I've always had to reach out to Tidy concierge to figure out what's going on. If you're wondering why I tried Tidy 3 times, it's because my work gives me credits for this service. Luckily, Tidy only gets paid when I use the service. My co-workers use Tidy purely as payment process with their current cleaners. Tidy is only useful when it can act like an expensive venmo. Good luck Tidy! Again, it sucks. read more

What can I say that hasn't been said already. Should have checked Yelp! first. Had family coming and running out of time so responded to a flier. Paid for the 4 hour clean, got maybe an hours worth of work. Changed sheets, left all trash in kitchen, washed a couple if dishes in the sink. No floors (mop or vacuum), no showers, no dusting, no countertops. Live and learn. Looks like we'll be burning the midnight oil to get the house ready for our guests but will never use Tidy.com again. read more

I scheduled a move out clean ant the professional cancelled at the time they were to start cleaning. I requested a same day reschedule and when nothing was available, I cancelled that request and was charged a cancellation fee!! THEY cancelled on me, I, in good faith and desperation, gave them the opportunity to make it right and they charge me!! I paid in advance and have requested a refund. She could barely bend over and forget about getting on her knees. We felt bad and asked if you would like to stay a couple more hours we have no problem with that. I don't know what this dude did for an hour. I came home and my carpet wasn't cleaned, the floors weren't mopped, my shower not cleaned... I don't know what else to say. I came home to a half attempted toilet cleaning and a made bed. But a clean toilet and a made bed doesn't take an hour. So, what did he do for the other 55 minutes?? Dreadful. The website looks nice, as does the promo material. Then....no way to contact the company when you need to make a schedule readjustment. I left detailed instructions -- ignored. I even left a print-out to make sure I was clear. Ignored. Cleaner leaves early without completing the tasks I labeled as PRIORITY. FALSE ADVERTISING BEWARE! I got a flyer on my door and figured I'd try it bc they say they clean the whole house for 1 hour. It's completely false. The girl that came didn't make it past our kitchen and just wipes off the counter in our bathroom. It's shocking!!! I can't believe how bad of cleaning this is. Absolutely the worst "cleaning" ever! I specifically asked for the bathrooms and kitchen to get the most attention. My shower wasn't touched. When I saw this I asked the "pro" to please go back and work on it. He was trying to leave with 45 minutes to go. 45 minutes later he said "all done" and left. I went to look and couldn't believe NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE! There was sticky stuff on the kitchen counter and faucets were still covered in water spots. Right away tidy sends a follow up asking how the pro did. I said it wasn't great and I would not want him back. One hour later he shows up knocking on our door angry that he had been docked pay because of me. It really shook me. Anyway...you can't call or talk to anyone. The cleaner was a literal thief. She stole over 6k in watches from us. We reported it to tidy and their response was not their problem. Police are involved. She did this to 2 different households. Got a search warrant and found 1 of our watches. She probably sold the other one. Literally did the worst job ever and when you report it they just throw credit at you that you don't want to use. So, the maids apparently were not told I no longer wanted their services and showed up yesterday anyway. I was about to have eye surgery and my phone rings and it's the maid, wanting to be let in! I told her I had fired her and hung up. When I got home, I called and actually spoke with someone named Steve (who said he remembered me and took my original call) said he didn't like my tone of voice and hung up on me. I waited a while, then called back, and someone else named Steve spoke to me and I explained the situation, told him I was very unhappy with the work done and was perplexed by the strange emails, wanting me to schedule my appointment, even after I had said I no longer wanted to use them. I told him the other Steve that answered the phone was rude, and he said he was the only Steve there. Strange. Must be bi-polar. read more

Wow...where do I begin! Received a flyer at front door advertising their house cleaning services...and thought...hey, think I will treat myself!!! Now, I keep a very clean house, but thought it would be nice to have a pro come in and really make it sparkle...with great cleaning supplies and methods...coming home to a house fresh and clean! The saga begins....first scheduled housekeeper did not show up (a week ago), and no one called me or emailed me to tell me that they would not be cleaning my home on appointed day. When I called I was told by TIDY "we have had problems with him not showing up before" and they gave me a $50 credit to my account. I had ordered the TIDY+...$75 and up to 2.5 hours of cleaning...LOL...lets see what I got! So, today was the big day! They gave me a "good" housekeeper after the first no show!!! Had given them a list of items to address, with priorities, with cleaning the baseboards and cobwebs from corners and sills near the top of the list...bathrooms, dust, floors, vacuum. I even removed the kids bedrooms (vac only) and office from the list of cleaning! Well, came home to clean bathroom counters and mirrors, and kinda clean window sills (well, not really...see pics), but seriously NOTHING...I mean NOTHING else was done!!! Cobwebs in corners and below window sills, uncleaned floors, kitchen untouched (except they put my clean dishes sitting on drying pad into the dishwasher...huh?), unvacuumed living room, dusty TV and surfaces, none of end tables even wiped down (see pics)I don't even think they cleaned my toilet!! Now the kicker...I had a small housecleaning service in early years of college (and made great $$) and honestly the amount of work done was maybe an hour...maybe....doubtful. From best I can figure this is an Internet site, likely in another city, hiring local cleaners and representing themselves as a real company!!! I strongly recommend you find a true local cleaning service, ask for references, and a local address...will NEVER let TIDY in my home again!!! This is the absolute worst experience I have ever encountered with any type of cleaning service. To be honest, this one takes the cake for any type of service in general. It was horrific. We scheduled a deep cleaning for today (SAT), 9/29/18 from 8am-12pm. Our cleaner showed up almost an hour late. He arrived at 8:45am. He claimed that he had the wrong address and was lost. A little upsetting, woke up early on my day off and made sure to be ready but sometimes that's how it goes. Water under the bridge. I was just happy to have the cleaner here. Orlando was the young mans name. He starts off what looks like doing a great job in the kitchen and I come to find out that he did almost nothing. I had been in my room for most of the time as he was "cleaning" the rest of the apartment. When he gets near my room he tells me that he can't stay until 12:45 to finish his 4 hours because he has another client at 12:30. Okay so now we are less important? So we suffer because he was late. Being late is one thing and making up for the time but being late and leaving early?! Unacceptable. Not only did he leave early, he left at 11:40! He didn't even put in a full 3 hours. The floors in the kitchen and living room were not mopped. The coffee tables were not touched or cleaned once. The Windows weren't touched nor were the blinds. Dust and dirt everywhere. The stairs wasn't vacuumed. The rooms didn't get wiped down. The windows weren't touched as well upstairs. Almost nothing was dusted. The ceiling fan wasn't touched. The bathroom was left a mess with water all over the counter tops. Soaked with all the toiletries on top of it. The list goes on and on..... The only thing that was decent was the shower. Even then it wasn't great. Especially after seeing how almost nothing got done in a span of 3 hours (that should have been 4) I am at a loss for words. We paid $150 for 4 hours of deep cleaning and what we got instead was $150 for 3 hours of little to no cleaning. Honestly, this experience was so bad I could write a novel on this. I don't even write reviews. I am not a yelper. That's how upsetting this "lack" of service was. If I could I would give this a NEGATIVE star rating. They don't even deserve 1 star. Orlando was rude and never once apologized for being late or for leaving early. I basically had to beg him to finish vacuuming and get the stairs but he would not. I am not sure why this guy was being so defiantly rude and unprofessional but this is not the type of person you want working for your company. Especially if he's going to treat customers like this and put in 10% into the job. Because that's pretty close to what it was. 10% might even be generous. I am appalled at this situation. I felt very uncomfortable when he raised his voice at me because I was asking him to stay until 12 at the very latest and he still would not stay. After he left he then tried to come back into my apartment looking for a missing piece of his vacuum. Does anyone see the problem here? You get more with honey than vinegar. Why of course I will be so happy to let you back into my home after you decided to not clean a majority of the house.... I can't make this stuff up. So I let him back in to look for it briefly and then I had enough. I asked him to leave as he was scrummaging through my room and the bathroom. For the record, it has been an hour since he left and I have not seen any missing piece of a vacuum. Now I am sitting on my couch next to my still dirty coffee table and dirty floor, writing this review. Thanks Tidy and Orlando for wasting my time and my money. Thanks for ruining the first half of my day off and now the rest of my day is ruined as I have company coming over later this evening and I do not have a clean house. So guess what? Terrible. I wasted my $99 on a cleaning that was maybe half the job they promised me on the website. They were supposed to do a "Tidy+" which is a 2 1/2 hour cleaning that includes vacuuming and mopping the hard floors, cleaning the kitchen and both bathrooms, among other things. When the girl arrived late I told her not to worry about making the beds, doing the dishes or taking out the garbage. I just asked her to concentrate on cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, mopping the floors and vacuuming and dusting. After 2 hours all she had done was the kitchen and the living room and the family room. I told her to stop and do the bathrooms as we only had 1/2 hour more on the contract. Fifteen minutes later she was instead cleaning the master bedroom. She finally started the bathrooms and left after three hours in my house having done about half the job I paid for. read more

I originally wrote a negative review for TIDY outlining the details of my negative experience but a few days later, received a message from Yelp that my review had been taken down. I imagine that's because I shared the first & last name of the first representative from TIDY who emailed me back; perhaps that a violation of privacy? I don't really know. At this point, I don't have the specific details any longer but... My point in offering a negative review of this company is to share my experience which lacked good customer service, thorough communication and follow through. TIDY was attentive to my initial request for service but when it came to paying attention to details, answering my specific questions, and actually calling me back to follow up and schedule an appointment, they completely left me hanging. No joke, they just never reached out to me again. And so I moved on (you can see me other review of a cleaning service). I'm also tired of seeing their paper fliers all over the street, sidewalks, and grassy areas throughout my neighborhood. Potential clients beware, TIDY promises a lot but does not deliver. My husband and I scheduled TIDY cleaning services for our home based on the advertised convenience and affordability of its professional cleaners. For our first appointment we received a call from TIDY 10 minutes AFTER our scheduled cleaning informing us that the cleaner would not be able to make it. TIDY's company policy is to charge its customers for cancellations under 24 hours of advance notice. They do not, however, have any policy that holds THEM accountable for cancelling on their clients. In our instance, cancelling on us after the cleaner was supposed to have showed up. This first appointment ended up being more of an inconvenience to us. We not only waited for a cleaner that did not show, I also spent a total of an hour and a half on hold, and on the line with customer service about rescheduling the cleaning. In sum, the time spent on our end attempting to fix a scheduling error on their end was not worth the effort. Our second appointment was only further disappointing. The cleaner arrived 15 minutes late, and the quality of the service fell short of all our reasonable expectations. We did not expect the thoroughness of a typical $100 home cleaning service, however, after inspecting our home we couldn't justify paying TIDY again, even at its too good to be true rates. Ultimately, the cleaning was so unsatisfactory that we ended up cleaning our home ourselves. Yes - our pillows were fluffed, our kitchen and coffee table wiped, toilet paper roll neatly folded, and we were greeted with the faint smell of air freshner - but, beyond these things there were no signs of professional cleaning. Our floors and carpets were not vacuumed, hair and dust balls remained. The majority of visible surfaces were left undusted. We informed TIDY in advance that we wanted the cleaner to emphasize our bathroom. Beyond the visible evidence of bowl cleaner, the outside of toilet, the faucet, and areas of the floor were left untouched. I advise potential customers to look for a proper home cleaning service. The quality of service, flakiness of scheduling, and other unnecessary efforts that come with being a TIDY client are not worth the seemingly affordable rates. Based on our experience, perhaps you are even better off taking 15 minutes of your own time to clean your home, because that is about the quality of cleaning we received for $40, in addition to the time and effort. Although TIDY promises convenience and affordability, I would advise potential customers to stay clear. Their marketing was impressive and being unable to contact our regular cleaner, decided to try them for our three bathrooms only. It generally takes me 3 hours do do all three so they are super clean so I was a bit skeptical when they said they could do it in two and a half but I scheduled anyway. Sabrina was our 'home keeper' and she may have been a couple minutes late but stayed more than a few minutes to make up for it. She did a really good job on the one bathroom upstairs used by my three sons. I try to keep it 'TIDY' but it really needed a deep clean and she did not disappoint. However it did take almost an hour and a half but honestly I didn't care. It was one less room I had to do. I asked her to do the shower in the master bath one with clear glass doors and it looked fine. Agree with a few other posts that there was a film left on the counters but in all honesty it was easier for me to wipe it up than to complain about what was otherwise a satisfactory job. To her credit we had one breakage occur but she came out right away and let me know and cleaned it as best she could. No big deal. I'm hoping to have them come back but only for the hour service. Just enough to do the sinks & commodes is enough for me. It's a small place and I'm fine doing the rest myself. 4 for cleanliness, 3 for efficiency, 5 for me not having to do it. Please do not book Tidy if you do not want to (1) risk having items in your home damaged or (2) have a person in your home that is basically NOT vetted in anyway and for which you will have no protection whatsoever. I thought Tidy provided a true service: competent, qualified, vetted housekeepers whose work they warrant and guarantee. I was woefully mistaken. Tidy qualifies these individuals as independent contractors so that when they fail to do the job right, or worse, ruin items in your home, as they did with me, your only recourse is to dispute it directly with the "housekeeper" and even then, you are "made whole" by receiving a cleaning credit. Why would someone want a cleaning credit with an organization that fails to provide competent cleaners? I booked Tidy because I haven't had time to find a new housekeeper. I should've been patient and continued to interview true, competent, housekeepers. Trust me. No matter how short you are on time, DON'T DO IT--DON'T BOOK TIDY. They are AWFUL! Regular price is $90, but since it was considered "same-day service" it would be 50% more, so $135. Ok, no problem...sign me up! And so they charged my credit card $135 immediately, and never showed up...never called...never did anything....nothing. It wasn't until I filed a charge back with my bank that they were all about trying to find out how they could fix it. I was told "Carole" confirmed the cleaning and was also surprised to see that she apparently "informed" me she was on her way. Never received that phantom information. At 8:30am, no one arrived, yet it said Carole had "arrived" and then at 8:35 Carole, the apparently invisible person had started "cleaning." I contacted customer support. Received no response. I checked the app again at 8:38 and found that my cleaning had been "cancelled due to a personal schedule change with the cleaner." Then I get an email that Tidy was attempting to reschedule because the cleaner couldn't make it. Basically, I want Carole's job. DO NOT USE TIDY. TIDY Cleaners stole my wedding ring during a cleaning this past Friday. (It was a hispanic couple in their mid-late twenties). We've filed a police report for grand theft. We've not been able to track down the cleaners who took it as the information that TIDY gave us seems to be inaccurate. Anyone can sign up to be a TIDY cleaner and TIDY doesn't require background checks for the cleaners signing up. Multiple thefts have occurred. Criminals are being sent into peoples houses through this app. TIDY insists they are not responsible for thefts and any instances should be dealt directly with the cleaners, even though they've provided us with false information. The only means of communication TIDY willing to do (including with the police) is through their concierge email. DO NOT USE TIDY. We will be following through with a police investigation and considering a lawsuit against TIDY. Housekeeper showed up 1/2 hour late, arrived via bus, no vacuum, stayed only 2-1/2 hours (out of 4), did a half-ass job on one bathroom, left for lunch and never came back. I'm blaming myself because I always (except for this time) check Yelp... shame on me. Tidy doesn't have a phone #, now I know why- they don't want to hear the bad reviews. I've been a customer of Tidy for roughly 3 years, so I think I know what I'm talking about. I had a couple of different cleaners come to my house before I got assigned to a great young lady who I kept on as my preferred housekeeper. She was cleaning my house weekly for basically the entire 3 years since then. I was comfortable with her, she knew my house, she was always on time, and did a nice job. However, this review and rating is about Tidy as a company. When my regular housekeeper changed her work schedule and was no longer available, the nightmare began. I tried to reschedule with my original housekeeper via their web app, but could not find a suitable cleaner and time to get back on a regular schedule with her. Then they told me (via email) that they could not manually help me schedule someone, that it has to be done via the web app, but that they did see some availability for her and that I should try again. But their app kept telling me she wasn't available. They have an option to automatically replace the person with a different housekeeper if you want them to, but I did not select this option because I don't want different people coming to my house each week, this isn't an AirBnB - this is my home, and I prefer to know who is coming, and not have to explain everything for a new person each time. Despite not having this option selected in their app, twice now they have sent someone without my authorization. The first time, I had checked their site the day before and it said I had nobody scheduled. The next day, at 6am, I received an automated email stating that they had scheduled someone to come to my house that same morning. I contacted them immediately, and they eventually (after several emails) did the right thing - they apologized, waived the "cancellation" fee (for a service I never scheduled in the first place), and said they would help get me on a new schedule with a new person. This never happened, and after a month of emails back and forth, I was pretty much done with them, and considered my $45 lost since they only offer a credit, not a refund, of the weekly fee which they charge in advance. Today, they did the exact same thing again. I had nobody scheduled, but at 6am I got an email stating they had someone coming to my house that morning. I emailed them immediately, but this time I did not receive any response, and sure enough, I had someone show up at my door. They have zero customer service, they do not treat you fairly when they make a mistake, their scheduling app is terrible once you have a problem, and even after a month of back and forth emails trying to resolve my scheduling issues, they refuse to pick up the phone and call me. They seem completely unconcerned with my experience as a customer, or with keeping me as a customer. I will oblige them and will not be a customer of theirs any longer. In order to make sure I don't get charged any more fees, I had to actually contact my credit card company and put a block on them, because as I said, they do not typically give any refunds, only credits, and they charge you a week in advance for next week's cleaning. What started out as a good experience solely because of the good housekeeper that I found early on, turned into a terrible experience because the customer service is a disaster, their app is difficult to schedule, they do not keep their promises, and they will send someone to your house whether you've got someone scheduled or not. Wish I had read these reviews first. The gal that worked was cool. But she did more of a wipe down than clean. I only had her clean my apt bathroom as a test run to see if I wanted to continue. My bathroom is 10x10 so it should not have been that difficult. After she left I inspected to find a lot of untouched areas. She didn't even bother moving the shampoo tray in the shower or clean the shower door. I found dust bunnies behind the toilet. She cleaned the tub, but left a significant amount of chemical residue in the corner of the floor. My sink drain-- unacceptable. I really don't get it. I didn't keep my bathroom up for two weeks so it would be dirty for a test-run. I suppose everyone has their own idea of clean. And everyone has their own idea of how something should be cleaned. I don't feel so bad that I wasted my money on the service because she was struggling in life so I contributed to her income. I won't use this service again and have suggested that all my colleagues avoid it. read more

I don't know why I struggled with this company for so many months. Horrific customer service. Of the 5 or so "homekeepers" I tried, only 1 was intelligent, ambitious and capable. The others were like mindless robots who don't read your personalized preferences and don't listen to your verbal requests. They move slowly with no sense of urgency. There were many last minute cancellations. Tasks as simple as emptying the trash or cleaning the toilet were left undone. Sometimes they skipped an entire room. The office staff is useless. When you email them with complaints, they send you a scripted message. Absolutely nothing personal about the interaction between the client and the company. I looked them up on the Better Business Site. They gave Tidy an F! Yikes! Stay away. Don't be lured in by a pretty app. It's like a pretty box that's empty inside.
