Last Friday I had a scheduled cleaning with somebody named Liz. I got a text 10 minutes before arrival time saying she had a family emergency and they had to cancel. I had another cleaning scheduled today with another Home Keeper by the name of Kimberly. My cleaning was supposed to be at 11 this morning. 5 minutes ago I got another last minute emergency cancellation text. In my opinion this is a little too coincidental and this company is unreliable. Unfortunately Dexter is booked out for the next few weeks so it makes sense since he's the only reliable one they have. read more

I ordered a Mighty Tidy, with two homekeepers and around 3 hours to do the work. Only one of the two home-keepers showed up. She didn't even do half the tasks I requested. She dusted some of the furniture, vacuumed and "mopped" the floor. The house was dirtier when she left. The whole floor was a mess. There were stains everywhere. That's not what I consider clean. I wasted around $300 for someone to come and smudge dirt on the floor. Their customer service is so annoying. They don't have a phone number to contact which is very inconvenient and it's taking forever to resolve the issues. They are offering me $20 store credit for their horrible services. I'm speechless. Yesterday in the throws of the pandemic here in Agoura Hills, a cleaner left after an hour with an obvious fever. I tried to communicate the seriousness of the situation to Tidy Concierge asking for an immediate Covid test on the housecleaner. No real non automated response. Terrible experience. I have a broken foot and needed help with my house. I signed up and it was a charge without showing up for the job. I have emailed twice, texted the number and no responses. Their phone number is a closed line without a access to anyone. Their website doesn't allow you to take off your credit card. Today was the FIRST time I used this service and the LAST!!! If only I read the reviews here in Yelp prior to this experience, I definitely would not have used this service! I had the same experience as others...housekeeper was here for not even the whole 2.5 hrs and barely cleaned 30% of my home. She said her time was up and would not clean further! She even asked for a tip! Her first impression made me uneasy, but I was willing to give her a chance. Her appearance was not what I was expecting compared to what vision the website portrayed of their housekeepers. I get it, you don't need to be in a suit to clean a home, but again different from what I was expecting. My husband was a bit uneasy with her as well. In the end I expected a housekeeper that would do the job of just cleaning my house and maybe even be at least a "little bit" motivated to want to do said services. Didn't get any of that. She just cleaned for the hours she was booked and split! I tried to call the company but you can only contact them via text or email. They cannot be contacted via phone because they claim they are trying to keep their expenses down! Their response was that the housekeepers stay and clean for the time they are assigned regardless how much or how little they clean! Ridiculous!!! They are sorry and will give me a credit of $90 "complimentary" cleaning towards my next cleaning booked with them. They had already deducted $90 from my account. How is that "complimentary" when they are still keeping my money since they won't refund it back! In the end they still pocket MY $90!!!! They also suggested next time I should book for more time: a 4 hour service. Which is indirectly accusing me that it was MY FAULT in the first place for not booking a longer cleaning! This company has become a joke. Throughout 2019 and even into 2021 I had decent experiences. In 2022 it's become totally unreliable. I get there are staffing challenges but they do nothing to help the customer nor do they following up on reoccurring problems. Got a cute, well designed flyer on my door and told my mom to give them a try. I wish I hadn't because I didn't know she would be in for a nightmare. Tidy is plagued by the same issues as a lot of businesses in the gig economy borne out of silicon valley startups. They hide behind slick marketing and take zero responsibility for their subcontractors. Customer service is literally an ai bot with canned responses. So 2 cleaners were supposed to come and do a four hour 'deep clean' for 220. Instead one woman showed up and basically smeared all the existing dirt around. My parents are not in great health and I was not nearby so they ended up completely redoing all of the cleaning themselves. The cleaner didnt even touch half the house like she was supposed to. My parents were supposed to be hosting guests for the weekend so the whole situation was pretty much a nightmare. Tidy promised a partial refund which never came through. Do not hire Tidy!!! I would give them zero stars if that was possible. I hired Tidy to come and do a "Might Tidy" clean advertised as a deep clean on their website and fliers. Their employees were at my house for 4 hours and did only about 20% of the things I listed on their app. My house was just the same as it was before they came and I paid them $250!!! I didn't want to make a dispute against their actual employees because there were two of them and I wasn't sure if one or both of them were at fault. I didn't want to hurt someone's job prospects if all of the areas of negligence were the other persons fault. I took pictures and sent the company an email. This is their response: "We are just a software platform, so while we can help you manage disputes against the vendors that you book on the platform, much like ebay if you don't have an actual dispute with the vendor we are limited in what we can do. All cleaners are professionals who prove they have their own business and go through a certification process and can be booked and managed with the TIDY software. I think its possible you thought we were something else, and that is leading to some confusion here. I can help with any software concerns or managing disputes against the vendors using the software, if you have questions or concerns about those." Let's be clear, you pay Tidy, not the people who come to clean your house (or don't) but they are just a "software platform" and don't stand by their product in any way. They had no problem taking my money in advance since they knew they don't have to stand by their promises. I scheduled a cleaning of a short term rental property in between tenants. They text me an hour before the scheduled start time that the cleaner could not come. Their app is not user friendly and it would not allow me to re schedule someone else that same day without charging me a $50 "same day" fee. Not only did their person not show up, they then wanted to penalize me in order to get what I needed. WASTE OF MONEY!!!! My cleaner just left and I am SO UPSET!! I have a house full of guests arriving tomorrow and decided to use this service to take some of the pressure off of me. The cleaning women did arrive on time and was pleasant. It ends there. She did not have to do several of the things on the list the provided as I had already had them done before she got here. I have had cleaners in the past so I know what to expect. I would expect for my floors to be clean, the toilets to get done and all of the waste baskets in the bathrooms to be dumped. I'm sorry to leave such an awful review but I must. Everything about my experience with this company was awful. I won't put all of the wrong on the employees because only bad management could produce such an awful client experience. The cleaning was bad, terrible I would even say. They even left a torn and leaky bag of trash on my kitchen floor that I had to clean up when I got home. My dog even ate some and got sick even though I left specific instructions to leave him away in his kennel, they let him out for reasons unknown to me. When I tried to contact someone to speak with I wasn't even upset, I just wanted to make them aware of the situation for next time if it ever came up agin but they apparently stopped having phone connection that same day so I never got to speak with anyone. I WISH I had seen these reviews before getting a first cleaning from them. If I could give negative stars, I would. I had a 'tidy' cleaning on Monday and let's just say I was completely surprised. Booked a cleaning for 2bd 2ba and Diana arrived on time and spoke English, so I figured that was a good start. I was home the whole time and the cleaning was still abysmal. She just glossed over everything. Didn't mop, tried to only vacuum all hardwood floors. Didn't move litter boxes to clean behind or under them. Didn't dust anything, washed our dishes but left them dirty. No fridge cleaning or microwave inside. Did not mop the floors, left huge marks on floors from the vacuum. She didn't take the trash out either. She did not even bother to wipe down our dining room table. No countertop items were moved to thoroughly clean the counters anywhere. It was seriously disappointing. To make matters worse, I specified that only street parking was available and she just parked at the end of our apartment complex driveway, blocking it. I canceled any further cleanings immediately and was charged for another cleaning the next day! Tidy's response to my refund inquiries were to only refund the second $90 charge, add a $30 credit and blacklist Diana in case we want to use their service again. Based on my experience attempting to be a "TIDY Pro" (providing cleaning services), I would not recommend TIDY on the other end either (requesting cleaning services). I was targeted with a TIDY ad following an online search I made. I was told very little about TIDY, but was given the impression it functioned something like InstaCart or other similar "gig" apps. I went through the process of creating a profile, having my equipment certified, etc. only to never be able to connect with potential customers because I "don't qualify for a background check" since I don't have any private clients. So, I went through the work of adding my private clients. The process did show me what a great tool TIDY could be for managing clients, jobs, and payments, but I was not going to disrupt my existing client base with this new procedure. At this point, I still "don't qualify for a background check," because I haven't "completed a job." So as I waited for a date with one of my clients to approach, I meanwhile get nuisance and somewhat threatening tex messages from TIDY about how and when to conduct my business "please confirm your appointment with your client." "If you need to cancel, please do so immediately to avoid cancellation fees." "You haven't let your client know you're on your way." So I push the buttons in the app I need to push to make it happy and go about my usual business. After the job is complete, I still don't qualify for a background check. Now I'm over it and I just want to delete the account, except there is no way to delete my account. I can't log in on the website because I'm told that with my login information, I have to use the app. So I send a help ticket. "Please delete my TIDY account." I don't just want to discontinue use of the app without deleting my profile since it has all my existing client information and it was talking about cancellation fees which concerned me and everything else. When the "concierge" got back to me, his/her response was irrelevant to deleting my account, and came from a "no-reply" email so I could not even continue the conversation. Nowwww I'm seeing their terrible reviews and as it turns out, their service, targeted to me because of an internet search, isn't even available in my area! I had a cleaning scheduled today for 9:30am. I cancelled at 9:50 because I hadn't heard from him. The guy, Ruben, arrived at 10:10 saying he was here and if I still wanted the cleaning, that he had just drove from Mission Viejo, so I agreed. We discussed it was a 2 1/2 hour cleaning and what I needed done and he left 30 mins early at 12:10, even though he hadn't finished! He did the following only: vacuumed upstairs, wiped 4 mirrors. Cleaned downstairs floor, stove and microwave. In 2 hours, I've had cleaners take care of more than just this and the fact that he arrived 40 minutes late and left before the time was up without finishing is inexcusable. This is the worst service I've ever had with any cleaning company and the unprofessionalism is disturbing. I requested that my bathrooms be wiped down and guest bathroom tub cleaned, since my toddler uses that one and it all was untouched. One had hair in sink, and you can tell that all the bathroom sinks and counters were not even wiped to say the least. We even discussed wiping down the counters in kitchen and they are still dirty, you can tell they weren't wiped. He even made a puddle of water on my kitchen counter, which may be from cleaning floor? I'm unsure, but he just left it. The downstairs mirror he was cleaning when I came downstairs, but he must have done only a few parts because there's like 5 of my toddlers handprints all across the mirrors. My home is 2000 sq ft and 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathrooms. It is not a ridiculous size and the way my time was wasted and the fact that I still have to clean everything is frustrating. Well, I wish I had read these reviews for Tidy before I hired them for a one time cleaning to the tune of $275. I wanted to find someone other than Molly maids who constantly damage my house and the Molly maids spend more time talking to each other in Spanish than working. My appt. time was scheduled for 2 PM and at 2 PM my doorbell rings and a nice young man was there. We went over what needed to be cleaned and he brought in all of his cleaning supplies. At that point, everything seemed to be going smooth. However, after 30 minutes we realized the other person that was supposed to come was a no-show. Yes, the second cleaner JUST DIDN"T SHOW UP. Now, at least with Molly Maids someone would have called me. He got a phone call and was told to "clean what he could" and that I would not be charged for the second person. The guy worked for 5 1/2 hours and really did an excellent job, but he wasn't able to clean everything. Do not use this company!! I was very excited initially it to try your company. You guys have a wonderful concept and it is very aesthetically and conceptually pleasing. When I received your email that you guys had extended your hours and times to accommodate people who work, I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to try your company. My apprehensions, especially due to your low yelp rating, were washed away with the excitement of your accommodation for working people. I have since been sorely disappointed. After first being let down by the fact that you don't have a once a month cleaning option, I scheduled a cleaning. You guys however did not show at all. Despite having my phone number, I got simply no communications. If there was some trouble entering my complex or anything else, you or the assigned cleaner should have contacted me - I had even canceled all my plans and left work early to be available. And yet there was not a single attempt to communicate and really no attempt afterwards to correct your own mistake. And despite your claims that you extended your hours, there was absolutely no one to contact or speak to while I sat here for hours waiting for you to show up. I was beyond disappointed. Despite your initial attitude, once I finally said how disappointed I was and that I would be rating you on yelp, you finally offered to give me a credit. I obliged that it may have been a one time mistake, and scheduled a subsequent cleaning. I once again canceled all my plans and left work early. I, however, was once again completely disappointed when you failed to show up at all. On my third attempt, I finally had someone arrive late. On this third attempt, I had requested a cleaning for 6 or 7 PM. However, you only allow 5 or 8 PM. Those are entirely inconvenient times considering that I am certainly not home by 5 PM and waiting until 8 PM for 2 1/2 hour cleaning is quite challenging. On top of it, once the cleaner arrived, she told me that she had been trying to get a hold of me but that there was absolutely no way for her to contact me. Instead, she and I had both been separately trying to contact you guys, and despite your claims that you were open until 9 PM, there was absolutely no one available to respond or address these issues. That is false advertisement to say the least. Despite your failure to show up twice and all of the additional issues that I was experiencing, you refused to credit me for a second cleaning. Requiring I pay half of the cleaning. And while the hours of inconvenience I had experienced were extremely frustrating, I acquiesced and scheduled an attempted fourth cleaning with you on a Saturday. Especially on a weekend, I believed in your promises to arrive as promised. Can you guess what happened? You didn't show up at all once again. I stayed at my apartment that day for hours and did not travel to see my family as planned simply to have this cleaning. However, no one ever showed up and I was not contacted at all despite you having my phone number!!!! This occurred on Saturday. It is now Wednesday evening at almost 9 PM and guess what, I have not heard from anyone at your company indicating anything! Not an apology, not any intent to fix the situation, and certainly no attempts to continue to keep my business. I have been searching for a service that I can rely on and use once a month continually - you certainly showed that you cannot be that service. While whoever began your business may have had a great idea to start, the execution is an absolute failure. The customer service is horrible and you guys should be ashamed for missing a single cleaning, let alone three out of the four that I schedule. I have an extremely busy schedule and the fact that I cut out time for you, and yet you did not do the same for me is disrespectful, shameful, and disgraceful.
