Why did I even book with this company? WHY?!? I saw the horrible reviews. It felt "off" that there wasn't a single number listed to contact should I need to reach out to someone in case we had a no-show. But I booked anyway because it was the week before Thanksgiving and everyone else I reached out to was booked already. Plus, I had received a very convincing email two weeks prior from the CEO of the company essentially saying, "Hey, we know we had scheduling problems in the past, but we've fixed it all now with this new Schedule Assurance feature." The email even boasted that by using this new feature, they were able to "increase the reliability of cleanings by up to 95%!" So I booked a cleaning. I was desperate and this was convincing. I chose a 5:00 pm cleaning on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. I was so nervous about TIDY cancelling that I logged into the fancy-shmancy website at least fifteen times during the day so that I could still see that I had a cleaning scheduled. I was checking it obsessively so that in the event they cancelled, I would see my status was different and I would have at least a few hours to try and schedule someone else or troubleshoot a solution. At 4:56 pm I received a text message from TIDY that our cleaner would not be able to make it. No phone call. Just a last-minute text. Let me clarify---- that is FOUR MINUTES BEFORE THE CLEANER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT OUR HOUSE KNOCKING ON THE DOOR. When I tried calling the number I was texted from to see about rescheduling or to see if they could sub in someone else, I received an automated message stating that this number didn't receive calls. A few minutes later I got an email from TIDY letting me know that my cleaner had cancelled and if I wanted to reschedule I could email or text the concierge. I both emailed and texted the concierge immediately to see if they could send someone else. Anyone else. Even in a later time slot. Even the next morning. No reply. I called my husband in a panic to see if he could start calling other cleaning companies on Yelp to find someone to come help us out at the last minute (side note: we did find someone. The outstanding five-star Lux Cleaning came to our rescue- please see my separate review of them). Before we hung up my husband said, "Make sure this scam-artist of a company didn't charge your card." I logged onto my banking app, and sure enough, I had been charged the full $99. I couldn't even believe it. I began texting the "concierge" again to demand an immediate refund and requesting an immediate phone call. My refund was eventually processed a couple of days later. Never got a call as requested. Received one single lackluster apology text on Thanksgiving. This company is the worst of the worst. Why are they the worst of the worst? Because they just don't care. They don't care that they are unreliable. They don't care that they cancelled on a pregnant woman four minutes before the appointment on the day before a major holiday. Nope. Don't care at all. And because of that, they're not worth the gamble and the aggravation. read more

This service is a total joke. They do not clean and do a horrible job. The cleaner arrived late and I specifically told him not to use Swiffer on my kitchen floor. He used it regardless, and now my floors are ruined. Secondly, he didn't even finish wiping down my counters. Really unfortunate. I think that is a total scam. read more

This company is terrible for the homekeeper and customer. They charge about double as much as other local housekeepers would charge, even though they claim to have the best prices. They expect the homekeeper to provide all products, supplies, gas and only pay about half that they charged the customer. Also the "certification"/training is them asking "1 out of 5, how good do you think you are at cleaning?" That's it, so there is no training... They have also refused to pay me my last paycheck in full($40 missing). I explained that I have a baby to support, Jennifer/Jessica doesn't care, they referred me to their "frequently asked questions/help site" because of course they have no phone number for the homekeeper or customers to contact for customer service. read more

Unbelievable these reviews. They should not be allowed into your homes. They can't do even a simple task? I am the best housecleaner on this planet. I make sure everything is spotless, dust free, polished, and sparkling. I am astonishing at organizing anything and everything. Garage, dressers, tools, and the old junk drawer. I know how to pack and store so you have more space. I am trustworthy, and careful with all items. I even clean the baseboards. I also enjoy cleaning, because i know I am good and thorough, and get it all done. If I see a screw loose I tighten it up, if your toilet seat is loose I will tighten it up. I am all about less bacteria, and aromatherapy. I am jill of all trades. Really. I don't go around area rugs, I take them out and beat them or give a good shake. I multi-task. I am not nosy, snoopy, or interested in people's hidden boxes. I respect privacy so I give respect. I would never move an item to another place without asking. My organizing skills are about convenience and making space. I take pride in everything I do, and one thing I know is I am the professional domestic machine you will ever need. First off, I'm a student. I barely have time to eat, let alone clean my place and I'm not in the habit of wasting money for unnecessary services. On their website, I filled out my little profile for a one bedroom place. I stated that I was more interested in getting my floors vacuumed, swept and mopped, and my place dusted than ANYTHING else. If there was time after, please wipe down surfaces and take the trash out. My place isn't big, so it's not like it's going to take more than an hour for what I believe is a general clean. She arrived 1543; my appointment was booked for 1530. Do I mind that she was late? Not today since I'm at home studying for finals and I basically have my butt glued to my chair for the next two weeks. Was I pleased? No, this is your business; be here on time. I made it a point to let Homekeeper know that I was interested in my bathroom being cleaned, but I did need other stuff done. I have a toilet that's older than me and it needs to be pumiced to be completely cleaned (which I mentioned, but apparently she knew better). So my toilet is moderately less stained than before she got here. My tub has something that looks like sand (?) near the drain, with a chunk of my soap in the actual drain. The counter top, mirror and sink were wiped down. My floors are NOT mopped, my surfaces are NOT dusted, my trash is STILL piled in my kitchen, as are the dishes in the sink. Basically I paid $45 for some woman to come fuck around in my bathroom for 50 minutes after which she quickly vacuumed (which seriously takes 3 minutes, if you do it slowly). So I took 4 minutes to come write this review and now I'm going to go wash dishes and take out the trash I just paid someone else to do. I'd recommend NOT seeking their services. And if you have had their services and are not satisfied, dispute the charge with your bank. This is utterly ridiculous. read more

After 2 emails and one text message I finally got a response. They offered 50% credit toward my next service - I declined and requested a refund. Without hesitation they processed a refund for 50% of the service. Things Tidy should consider - better communication with your customer when someone fails to show up - faster response times when your customer complains. read more

I just signed up for my first home cleaning with this company. I took time off during the week, made arrangements to remove my dog from the premises and 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive I received a text that the cleaner cancelled. I realize things happen but I should have been notified much sooner so my entire day wasn't disrupted. And to make things more frustrating, you cannot reach the company by phone. I ordered a two team, 4 hour deep clean back in April. First they charged my credit card 4 days before they even showed up. the day of the cleaning, one girl showed up on time, and started working in the kitchen. The second girl was 45 minutes late because she was "lost". The one in the kitchen managed to strip the information off my stove dials so that I do not know when or how to light the burners. Not only that, she left after 3 hours, but claimed she was onsite for 4. The second girl that was late at least stayed the extra 45 minutes that she was late, but she talked my ear off! I disputed the charge with my credit card company because I could find absolutely no way to reach ANYBODY to complain. Once I did dispute, I immediately got emails. I explained the situation, but because you have to claim damages within 72 hours of the work, and gave me a bogus website that didn't work to "enter my damage claim" they said too bad. I have used Tidy on 3 different occasions and overall I am unhappy. My main issue was the lack of communication. For example: I had cancelled my cleaning last week and cleaner sent me a text stating she was on the way. I told her I cancelled but to go ahead and come through since she wasn't notified and I saw online that the cancellation didnt go thru. Cleaner confirmed she was on her way so I left work (40min drive) to open the door for her. Appt time came around and no call or text. I followed up and she stated that she wasn't coming because now she could see the cancellation and she wouldn't be paid. When I tried to find a number I was unsuccessful and when I asked the cleaner for customer service number she referred me to email instead. I emailed and got a response stating that I would be refunded and that no cleaner would come. I was most frustrated that I left work for no reason, my card was already charged and the site never cancelled my appointment which got me into this entire mess. If the cleaner was already on her way, and I told me that, why did she not show up? And if I already had her booked for 4 hrs how can she not come now, shouldn't she still be available? 1st cleaning - wonderful cleaner but late 2nd cleaning - wonderful cleaner but she didn't read my instructions (I excluded kitchen and she spent 3/4 time on kitchen) 3rd cleaning - horrible cleaner, didn't clean half as much as previous two with double the time I paid for Pros -online booking Cons -charges before services are rendered -cleaners not all worth the cost - horrible customers service (email only) Really? DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE IDIOTS!! I really wish I read these reviews prior to trying Tidy's "cleaning" services. We had maids cancel three times in a row within 5-20 minutes prior our scheduled time. Maids were always "sick" or "not servicing our area any longer". This was not only frustrating but very inconvenient as we were expecting guests on two of those occasions. When you contact the "Concierge" they offer absolutely no help. Even when the maids do arrive, the job is absolutely mediocre at best. You can expect a half-ass job with these people. Customer service is worthless and I really do not understand how they can even afford flyers to advertise. Save your time and money and hire a real cleaning service. the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my entire lifetime. I booked a one hour spot yesterday, and the only notification I received was that my Pro was confirmed to come. In the app, it asks that you wait 30 min to contact your Pro, which I did, only to ask how things were going and when she was expecting to be finished. I had to go pick up my dog before the cleaning so he would not bother her, bring him to my office (which was entirely distracting in itself) so I just wanted to see when she would be done so I could take him home. NO RESPONSE, no notifications that she wasn't able to clean, NOTHING. When I called their customer service line, it directed me back to the app, and the "concierge" service (if they can even call themselves that) let me know that it would be two business days before I heard a response. Absolutely ridiculous that we are allowing strangers into our homes to have 0 communication with Tidy or the Pros. And to top it all of, I got charged a cancellation fee, then I got another notification that asked me to rate my Pro's work. Is this a joke??? She keeps emailing me to say that I should just lift the dispute in exchange for a courtesy credit or she will fight the dispute I initiated 3 months ago even though merchants only have 45 days to respond to them and the bank provides 90 days to investigate and resolve cases... which has passed already. TIDY IS A SCAM! We scheduled them to come to our condo to do a Tidy+. My husband was home to let them in. 15 minutes after they were scheduled to arrive, I received a text saying they couldn't access my home and that I could reply to the text to communicate with the cleaner. I sent 3 texts and got no reply. My husband and I then emailed back and forth with the Tidy concierge, who told us they could not get in touch with our homekeeper (Really? You can't get in touch with the people who work for you???) and we'd have to reschedule. We rescheduled for the next day (today). Again, another text saying they couldn't access the home. My husband is home, the front door is unlocked, and he is sitting on the curb watching for them. They have turn-by-turn directions to our home in our profile. No one has been by. I received another text from a new homekeeper telling me no one is home and please reschedule. This company has already charged our card. I have requested a refund and am waiting for any helpful, logical reply to our issues. I'm disappointed that it has taken this many issues and a negative review to get any actual help from this company. read more

Worse service ever. Can't reach Tidy be phone. They will take your money and not provide the services you paid for. I paid $220 for 2 homekeeps for 4 hours to give my home a deep clean. Only one showed up and did an awful jon and left 30 mins early! I was told that I can reschedule the rest of cleaning. This is a terrible company with extremely poor customer service. An absolute scam. I paid $150 for a 4 hour cleaning where I spent a good amount of time listing all of the activities to pay attention to in each room. The cleaner clearly did not read the list as the vast majority of the tasks were not completed. She skipped an entire bathroom (note that each room to be cleaned is listed on the app and sent to the homekeeper) and even ended up making some things dirtier than before (she wiped my TV screen with a dirty rag, leaving streaks and grime). Surfaces were not wiped down in the rooms, which i feel is kind of the bare minimum for a cleaning service. This person clearly did not know how to clean and did not care enough to even to a halfway decent job. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I emailed Tidy to let them know i was unhappy with the service provided and even sent photo evidence of the skipped room and poor quality job (there were still actually spider webs in the corners of the living room). Because i only booked a one time cleaning and not a recurring service, I was told that i was not covered under their satisfaction guarantee and therefore the best they could do would be to offer a $40 credit off of my next cleaning. Pay another $100 for a service that was supposed to be done already? Not a chance I'm giving this company another dime. Stay away. read more

I paid $100.00 for our cleaner to do 2.5 hours of work. She spent almost all the time cleaning two moderately small bathrooms, and didn't do anything else except sweep up some dirt/dust off the floor in my kitchen and living room (which are also both pretty small). Although my bathrooms were dirty, I find it hard to believe that it needed to take as long as it did to clean two bathrooms. So I basically paid $100.00 for her to clean two small bathrooms. While she did a pretty good job, there was still dust and cobwebs plainly in sight that were not cleaned. My floors in the kitchen and living room, which were filthy, were not mopped at all. I made the mistake of not reading reviews first. This service is HORRIBLE!!! I decided to hire Tidy based off some flyers they put out. Nice interface and seemed like a new company, surely they would put their best broom forward. NOPE!! My Roomba does a better job than these jerks!! I could almost say my place was cleaner when I left it. The only thing he cleaned was one of my toilets. He even left my dirty dustpan on my kitchen counter!! What does that?! He also apparently cleaned my trash can, because that's f*#@ing important!! I'm recovering from surgery so I can't do my normal cleaning, and I was looking forward to spending the rest of my recovery time in a clean house. I told him I was going to the grocery store, and I asked him if he could do the master bedroom first so I could come back and rest. He was gone when I returned. I was maybe gone 30 minutes!! I sent a text and will email, but it looks like they also have issues responding. If I don't hear from them in 24 hours I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, this is one company is a scam that needs to be put out with the trash! read more

They were only able to finish a small portion of my house due to lack of proper support which should have been provided by the company! they only allow you to email them.. when I explained they took a portion of what I said and pinned it on her opening a dispute. I said I didn't want her money back.. that it was their mistake! when I when to reject the dispute it closed it saying I get the 100% back which comes from her pocket. This service is a complete scam. Basically what they try to do is have a housekeeper come out, do a terrible job, and leave you to micromanage them so that they can up sell you from a normal 2.5 hour cleaning to an expensive 4 hour detail. First of all, in terms of a housekeeper I want to be able to leave them a to-do list. The housekeeper should be able to do 90% of the list. When j get back, my place should be sparking, and I should be able to help with a small portion of the list and provide a little guidance but nothing draining. With Tidy, it's the exact opposite. My housekeeper was supposed to mop my floors with Murphy's oil soap (never happened). She left the kitchen counters and dining room table dirty. She left a pile of unfolded laundry in my bedroom. She didn't bother to touch my two other bedrooms, despite having specific tasks related to them on her to do list. She left dishes in the dishwasher. And my kitchen floor had sticky dirty spots. My house wasn't that bad to start off with in the first place. 2.5 hours were more than adequate to clean a small, 3bdr, 1.5 bath house. To make matters worse, this was a reschedule of a prior housekeeper that cancelled on me literally at the exact time she was supposed to show. read more

The biggest sham of an organization I've seen. There is no phone support, which means, "we don't want to have to talk to you." Their website states it's because the cost to maintain call center operations would only drive up the customer's price, but it's clear that they choose not to because their gig is based upon the idea that no one has to be accountable. We had our first cleaning today and came home to find our over-sized, decorative clock in our living room had been dropped and the glass shattered. What did they do with it? They left it on the counter, placed the shards of glass on top of the full trash dispenser (that they did not empty) and left. Yes. They left. No note. No explanation. No nothing. :( The mysterious phone number that texts you to confirm appointments said that we need to fill out an incident report within 72 hours in order to be "considered" for reimbursement. The reimbursement? A credit towards your next cleaning. Seriously? What a complete joke and complete farce. DO NOT ENTERTAIN THE IDEA THAT THIS "SHELL" OF A COMPANY IS PREPARED TO MEET YOUR NEEDS. The idea that the process is electronic is meant to be enticing for "convenience sake," however, the act is to make sure no one is accountable on the back end for the service staff's ineptitude. Selected Tidy based upon their excellent marketing and they were fine for a number of months. It was not the 'hotel level' clean that they advertised, but about average for a service. OK, I am now on my third Tidy cleaning person. Although I like the price, I suppose you get what you pay for. 3 times the charm and I am over it. I live in an apartment. Its not a big house... It's not rocket science.... I am super not impressed. All 3 times I have had to clean over the very mediocre cleaning... my teenager could have done a better job. I would get a better outcome for the 99 bucks! The first girl moved really slowly. The second came in smelling like weed and was on her phone most of the time... and the third... I am not sure she actually did anything ha ha I would not recommend. If you are an exhausted, busy, working mom, you deserve better then these half ass people.
